What's In The Works
Added 2024-11-03 16:23:30 +0000 UTCElements Of A Comic Page is finally coming together after weeks of not being able to mentally piece it together. Hopefully, this will actually be done in a few days. This video acts as a very long introduction in defining the four basic elements (as pictured above). Should this prove to be of general interest, I will have two more videos (already written) to make going into detail about each element. A final video would cover how I analyze/utilize these elements to do reviews and interpretation.
It's one part Understanding Comics and another part of me simply saying, "These are the things I see when I read a comic for the purposes of review."
On another note:
For those who are on Discord, you might have seen me mention that the Boy Maximortal video was demonetized and given the dreaded age restriction. This was due to one, single image that was, in my opinion, really tame. Anyway, age restriction means the video is, in essence, not recommended to anyone. Which greatly limits its exposure and has the cumulative effect of diminishing SBP's visibility overall. When The Authority video was hit with the same restrictions, overall views and recommendations noticeably dipped for at least three months, if not more.
So, not an ideal thing to happen.
Luckily, after blurring the image using YouTube's tools, the video has now been deemed fine and the restrictions are lifted. A happy ending, in other words. Only time will tell if this temporary shadowban has a negative effect.

YouTube is crazy. On one hand there’s a thousand World Star types of beat down videos and Cop Cam videos. Then the algorithm grabs a drawing in a comic. I once posted a depression era photograph of Appalachian family, and there was a naked toddler in the background and Facebook ban me for two weeks.
