It is so well done narratively, because first time watchers/readers will think its a call back or something we have given clues to, and will think about it super hard. It also helps that Hatchin just was added back and so you would expect Duval to be something similar too.

Some more than others and Zoro is without a doubt the most injured out of all them. Personally speaking, I don’t think Zoro has had a full recovery since after his fight with Mihawk. That chest wound might of recovered but he’s had plenty of other wounds since then. It’s just crazy to think how far damaged he is, especially with what happened at Thriller Bark. Oh wait… nothing happened 😏😁

The previous arc where we met and recruited Sanji, Zoro had a run in with Mihawk and got slashed across the chest. He really struggled in his fight against Hachi but only because of the lasting damage Mihawk inflicted on him earlier.
