Brook's backstory destroyed me.

I definitely will now! and yeah sort of like Ace's tattoo so like my whole back just one big jolly roger, whenever I get the money to finally do it lol, also love your tattoos, very few can pull off that throat spot and yours match your style really well :)

Cactuar Nick

LOOOL SORRY, hope you can have a good day at work!! also sick tattoo idea!

Katy

When I saw you were getting close to Brooks backstory I had to come to the Patreon, and now I have a headache before work because I'm crying my eyes out again. The Laboon/Brooks story always fucking gets me. Edit: One of my next tattoo ideas is to get the Rumbar Pirates jolly roger on my back because I love that crew so much and the Laboon/Brooks story is my favorite.

Cactuar Nick

Pure devastation and yet I still come back to relive these moments with them. Something's wrong with me lol

Right-Hand Man

Brook's story is tragically brutal. Over 50 years of solitude, stranded on a broken ship, stuck in foggy dark waters, surrounded by the remains of my loved ones. I wouldn't wish that level of hell on anyone, not even my worst enemy. It's really no wonder Brook is a little loony these days as a skeleton. Over time I have no doubt Brook thought about just giving up to spare himself the grief and suffering, but he held on for the sake of his crew and Laboon. I fully understand why Brook broke down after hearing that Laboon was not only still alive but also still waiting for the promise of their return. All the pain and loneliness he endured was not in vain, their 50 year old promise was worth it in the end. I also wanna point out how Brook and Moria have parallel experiences here, as captains they both lost their respective crews years ago and were left deeply traumatized from it, however their coping methods couldn't be more opposite. Brook kept to his senses and didn't let grief destroy him. He endured, got stronger, stuck to his convictions, and most importantly accepted the loss of his crew. Meanwhile Moria completely spiraled from his loss and in many ways became a "shadow" of his former self. He and a few other characters have often brought up his old rivalry with one of the emperors of the sea, Kaido. Looking at Moria now that sounds like one big joke, you could never see how that was ever true. After being defeated in his prime Moria found comfort in delusions and lost himself completely while Brook was able to overcome it all, even his own death just to keep his promises. Anyway I know I've written a lot already, but I just wanna end this off by suggesting a reaction to episode 384. I don't know if you've already recorded past that point, but in case you haven't I think this is one filler episode that you would enjoy. It's not a particularly hype or action packed episode but it IS very sweet and wholesome which makes it well worth a watch imo. But it's up to you, like many other fans I'm more than ready to jump right into this next arc/saga.

I will say these episodes never get easier to watch, I cry every time I see them
