I don't think Sanji deciding later down the line to abandon one of his core principles would be "development" of his character. The whole point in the Straw Hats is that despite how crazy the Grand Line has been so far they have not let if warp or change any of them at their core. I think a better development would be other Straw Hat members covering for his weakness by taking those fights or "rescuing" Sanji so that he can then go help out in a different way. Again can you claim something is really a core principle if you abandon it or ignore it every time it would be convenient to do so? Anyway I like to remind people that while Luffy is the MC, really the whole Straw Hats Crew is the MC. So a way for the "MC" to develop while letting Sanji keep his beliefs is a better outcome imo

2024-08-02 20:35:15 +0000 UTCI think it's a good thing that Sanji's weakness is now more understood by Nami and Chopper as well. At least now, they know how deep his convictions are in regards to fighting women. They can let the others know so that they don't feel like Sanji is abandoning them if he is being faced with this type of situation again. Knowing them when hearing about this, I believe that they would do the following: Luffy = Laugh Zoro = Be Annoyed Usopp = Crack a Joke Chopper = Saying "So Cool!" with sparkles around his eyes Nami = Of course still mad lol Robin = Be Understanding with a little smile and a soft laugh

He's not exactly conventionally attractive like say Ace or Zoro or Sanji, but he's got a very unique brand of masculinity that you don't see very often which is a huge part of his appeal imo. He's always his own #1 fan, unshakably confident in himself, and genuinely proud of who and what he is despite how other people might come to view him. Plus he's always such fun to watch whenever he's on screen.

2024-05-03 07:57:13 +0000 UTCFranky is THE MAN, he's so cool and so goofy, the ultimate combo😍 The way he runs with the cannon shoulders kills me 😂 Gear 2 and 3 get explained to some extent within the arc so it's not gonna be a massive wait at least! Fun Fukurou fact, he goes on about owls in that one bit because an owl in Japanese is fukurou.

2024-05-03 04:08:06 +0000 UTCGear 2 was the gear when he started steaming by the way in the cool pose, but seeing smol Luffy after gear 3rd is hilarious. Also, 291 and 292 are filler episodes, they're alternate universe stories, so it's set in an entirely different universe to the original one piece world. Not sure if you'd be up to watching them, personally, would rather you skip them since we're in the middle of such a great arc. Also, are the episodes still showing the same opening, because I'm sure there's supposed to be a new opening but I know some aren't shown on crunchyroll because of some copyright issues, i think.
