I think the G8 arc is a great arc but I think the issue it causes for some people is it makes the next arc which is technically not filler, feel like you are watching two filler arcs back to back which makes it less popular. Honestly I love both because they show pique Straw Hats being their goofy selves.

2023-09-30 11:46:51 +0000 UTCThe G8 arc is so good. Commander Jonathan is a great leader. Always cool, calm, and collected and a natural strategist. We had inside help from the old man and the Doc, Usopp coming in clutch with his dials, Luffy and the Octopus lol. Literally everyone was able to contribute to their escape. Looking forward to your reactions as always. Btw the 206 episode timer was off by about 30 seconds in, but it's cool. I was able to sync it up again by your singing :)

But for now, this next canon arc will serve as a nice breather until then There's a new opening and ending starting next episode btw, and the opening contains some spoilers. So you know be careful the next time you record

No matter how many times i rewatch it, the face Usopp makes when Luffy pulls out the octopus from his trousers will always kill me Also, just one more canon arc and filler arc until you step into (imo at least) the best saga/arc in one piece
