Eun-X-Cel: Early Pages and Concept Art

Eun-X-Cel is an original story of mine, and the one I want to focus on making pages for in the coming months. The comic primarily follows two characters. The bright and energetic Celandine Cao, and the quiet, aloof, Eun-Moo Chang:

• Still traumatized after a calamitous attack by monstrous creatures called Bio-Chimeras demolished her hometown, Celandine Cao looks forward to rebuilding a quiet, normal life for herself, far away from the chaos she knows lurks out there. But after a chance encounter with a strange, silver haired man named Eun-Moo, Celandine discovers, much to her horror, that the beasts that devastated her hometown have not only followed her but seem to be targeting her specifically. Celandine is forced back into the fight against the Bio-Chimeras, as it’s the only way she can return to the quiet life she so desires.  
  
  Eun-Moo is a super soldier created by the shadowy HELIOS organization specifically to deal with super powered threats such as the Bio-Chimeras. Eun-Moo feels isolated within his organization, not only from being the only super powered member, but also due to constantly coming into conflict with the ruthless and uncompromising orders he’s constantly issued by his superiors.  
  
  Celandine and Eun-Moo will have to face down their respective pasts and confront the parts of themselves they hate the most. The pair form an unlikely team in order to survive and take their lives back. 

My primary reasoning for choosing to restart the story was because I was just incredibly unsatisfied with the beginning. Not that I thought it was bad the whole time, but once I knew exactly where I wanted to take the characters and have them end up, it just felt really out of place. The tone, for one, felt a bit too comedic. Some jokes I did like and will keep, but the rest could be cut to help establish the tone better. Also I don't think I'm going to make Eun-Moo go undercover as a student this time, since he has to be able to move about enough to actually do his job. Maybe a janitor or something. Some kind of job that would let him move around a bit more, but still be present enough to unnerve Celandine enough for her to start sticking her curious little nose into his business. I'm still working on that part, to be honest.
