I was surprised by the scale of the negativity to the change, especially those who cancelled before even trying it, personally I felt a little relieved as the explosion of the number and type shows in the recent changes made me feel a little too much trying to keep up, so going down a only a few might make it easier. Saying that, my favourite parts of the show were always the discussions around the stories rather than just the headlines/briefings themselves, but maybe the weekly format will allow for that in a different way. I'm not going anywhere but will see how the new format turns out!

2025-08-26 13:12:07 +0000 UTCMade it through Editor's Desk. Yep. It was kind of what I expected. You've already seen my thoughts on this, but I'm not going anywhere. I'll leave a comment about why the emails tended to skew positive while Patreon comments skewed negative. It feels normal that the thoughtful, longer form responses would tend to be positive and email seems the right medium for this. Can't really explain why it feels right.
