Using this collected heat as a source for heating building, pools, or even de-icing sidewalks, parking garages, and driveways is a better use than just dumping it to the outside.

2023-03-16 00:56:33 +0000 UTCThey load the servers face up from the top of the container until the oil using a small crane - so if you need to work on them you lift them up and service them. With Intel cpus pushing 250watts each, and next gen even more power hungry - datacenters are planing on interesting ways to cool them - plumbing the racks for liquid cooling, oil baths (like this one), and current gen servers like HPE’s DL360 already have AIO liquid cooling like my gaming rig has. They’re able to do more with fewer more powerful servers but have hit a brick wall of physics where air simply can’t cool servers well enough anymore.
