COVID/Premium update for Peace Island

Hi, folks!

In the wake of recent events here in the USA and abroad, we felt that it was important to take a moment to speak with you about how the recent COVID outbreak is impacting Peace Island development, and the delivery of premiums.

FIRST OFF - Everyone working on Peace Island was "ahead of the curve" on the whole "work at home" thing.  "Self Isolation" isn't an inconvenience to people like us- it's a LIFESTYLE.  

Every bit of the content that we get for the project is delivered digitally, and everyone gets paid digitally.  While Laura and I share an apartment, we communicate with the rest of the crew remotely, via either text or skype.  Thanks to Chewy.com, our cats are more food-secure than WE are...

Now- we also felt it was important to address the concerns of people who are receiving their postcard sets:

The postcard sets were actually collated, packaged, and sealed five months ago.  

However: understand that while we are following ALL safe handling guidelines here at HQ, we cannot guarantee that everyone who is handling the envelope before it reaches your door is following the same protocols.

When the postcard set arrives, treat it with the same care as you would any other mail.  Once the postcards are removed from the envelope(s), dispose of the envelope immediately.  If you handle ANY unopened mail with your bare hands, please wash your hands for 20 seconds immediately afterwards.

The print sets are another situation, entirely.

Because of the stickers and additional backing boards, each of the prints will require handling.  At this current date, Laura and I both are not symptomatic, and have been strictly following all safety guidelines.  That having been said, we are also aware that this current corona virus can be spread by individuals who might have been exposed and are not yet symptomatic.

THE UPSHOT OF ALL OF THIS IS THAT WE ARE DELAYING THE SHIPMENT OF ALL PEACE ISLAND ART PRINTS BY ANOTHER EIGHT DAYS.

Again: even though Laura and I are healthy and asymptomatic, we want to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the packages we are mailing are guaranteed 100% safe for everyone from children to the elderly. 

All evidence to date indicates that this strain of virus cannot survive outside of the human body for more than nine days.  The aforementioned delay will ensure that even if there was a one-in-a-million-chance transference, it has been neutralized by the time it goes out the door.

We will be sending out further mailings of prints in stages, and hope to get them out to everyone as soon and as safely as is possible.
