Amazing!

Alejandro

Gushers and Applebee's indeed.

Thatch Trautmann

Amazing work. This is the journalism we need, it humanizes us. Vs what the major channels do, divide us.

Thatch Trautmann

Authentically this is one of Channel 5’s best videos. It is what made me a subscriber. Yeah it’s fun to see people gawk out at a mineral weebs at a crystal show but sometimes some straight guerrilla media that is simply embedded in the crowd during momentous minutes of history is far above what I expect and is exactly what I want. Well done crew. Well done Andrew.

Amir

Probably nobody will see this: Just noticed how the white people overwhelmingly approached the issue addressing the systemic problems. Black people discussed personal experiences and lost loved ones from police. Not an indictment of the white folk, truly. They are calling out injustice in a very true and effective manner. It’s just like there are two America’s divided by skin color

Blake W. Morris

fuck thats a good one

Kyle Hagerty

Honestly... a masterpiece

This is the best video you have done. When the young woman was shouting close to tears and closing her eyes in the crowd I felt her pain and frustration. Great great work.

Bryan Naylor

This is legitimate...

This made me cry.

William Powell

This is incredible and I was brought to tears. Thank you and your team for doing this

Erica

“We were supposed to go to Applebee’s”. Quotes like these really hit me hard. It brings out the humanity in the person. This was a real person, he went out to eat at restaurants, he picked up snacks at gas stations. Major news outlets will tell you he owned guns and smoked weed but they don’t tell you he liked Gushers. I like gushers, I go to Applebee’s. Such a small detail gives you quite the perspective.

Brandon Baciak

Incredible

karp

Starts off with trial and BLM, ends with gushers, another quality vid 💯💯

I’ve been meaning to sign up for patreon to support the new channel but this but made me drop what I was doing and immediately signed up after watching this. Really excellent content.

Thank you guys for making this vid. The message and visual storytelling here are powerful. Amazing work.

Natalia DNA

Man this stuff is so powerful. You gotta make this one public

Thanks Andrew for doing this, almost had me tear up during a few moments there.

phpTANKER

you do good work Andrew , nothing but love

This is very good.

Nate Igor Smith

yo that interview with the female right after the verdict was extremely powerful. make sure that makes the final cut. shit had me crying.

Made me cry hearing the anger and pain in that woman's voice at the rally. I swear, why hasn't this video been nonstop viral? It's so incredibly powerful.

This was incredible. Thank you

Ashley Holsten

This made me cry, god damn

Beautiful <3

It was fucking great! We truly appreciate you guys and your unbiased coverage. Love from Compton, CA.

such amazing work thank you ❤️

This is an amazing follow up to last year’s piece in Minneapolis. This is peak journalism in today’s age - Channel 5 truly giving the people their voice.

YouTube Account

amazing work

Korona

Holy shit man

Chris Pyle

awesome job with this one

Watched last night with my partner, both of us cried eating our dinner, such a powerful video. They should be showing your work in journalism classes, emerging journalists ats need to see that there are alternative ways to report, create and give a voice to the people. You are on such a cool path and I am so so excited to get to see what you do in the future.

Ocean

very poggers

This was solid work. Thank you

Emotional. Good work.

holy shit you guys

fuck yeah. this is your best journalism work to date. the whole thing flows, its beautiful and comprehensive, informative. brought me to tears dude. so much truth spoken, realness. I wanna be out there marching right now if i lived in Minnesota, ill def do what I can here in nebraska. but damn, this makes me wanna share this video.

Ryan

Wow. Thank you for capturing the raw emotion. Good shit editing out your questions as well.

Tatsu123

Beautiful - those “interviews” are intense. Channel 5 gives the People the mic. Credit to your editing too - the selections, as others have mentioned, evoked a legit emotional response. This shit is so hard, the inequity, the injustice, and the trauma are ubiquitous in American life. We need relief from the systems that are hurting so many of us! The reform better happen fast or else “Burn it Down” indeed!

Bryan Burnitt

on the verge of tears, this is the journalism we need

topher

Fuck. Yes. The best on the ground journalism I know of going on right now. Your interviewing and editing skills are getting so good. Keep it up.

Is there a longer cut of this?

"We ain't our ancestors. We'll die for a reason now" The words of a community that have reached the limits of patience. I stand with them all.

The best news coverage of anything that I've ever seen

This is excellent as always and I love that you are doing more real cutting edge stuff too alongside the more edgy/surreal stuff. I think not wearing the silly suit for this was a good touch intentional or not, but it shows respect for the subject matter. One criticism I have is that for the the more news worthy cutting edge videos like this, you should do everything you can to get the video out asap. I know the work that goes into editing a video, but out source that shit to someone you trust in another time zone or pull an all nighter. Getting these vids out when the news hits will help you guys reach a new audience online. As sites, news, blogs might share your content. However a week later they are onto something else to report. Keep up the good work team!

Best piece of journalism I have seen in a while. Amazing work Andrew.

Connor Murphy

This may be the greatest thing you've ever done. Loved every second

you love to see it

Best video yet. Brought me close to tears

Dumbasses always want to point to what's happening and judge without thinking in why it's happening. Amazing video

Benphish

Wow, this is absolutely incredible

Mason Shivers

camera work doesnt do it for me.. a few issues: too much camera angle switching is distracting and makes it feel more like a documentary than guerilla journalism, color grading doesn't match at all, and the quality of one camera is noticeably way worse.

This is incredible. Thank you!

Ryan

I cried, I got chills, all of it.. LOVE the direction you are going in... that was some POWERFUL shit... thank you! Ps ABOLISH 🥳

Red Queen

I cried

Jack Smart

Thank you for this. It’s so amazing to see you guys come back to form, pushing yourselves and doing the important work. We all love you.

Taylor Howarth

This is the best video yet. True journalism, great job getting the raw emotions of the people. It's hard not to be moved to tears watching this, it is at times completely heartbreaking.

Pulitzer, Polk, Peabody just to name a few of the journalism awards you guys deserve. Amazing work!

DW

Fuck yeah. You guys rule. So emotional and honest. This is the direction that contemporary journalism should be moving in. Thank you for being rad as shit.

i fucking love you guys. absolutely incredible.

good shit.

great work Andrew this is very much needed

Nick is his name

Daniel

That was amazing. I cried. Thank you. This is what we want to see.

Michaela

king shit.

Jes C.

ily andrew

Jes C.

Truly amazing. Please keep up the great work.

best journalism I've seen

it's not even about that HE had guns. you can't swing a dead mouse without hitting someone in America with a gun. White people coddle their guns saying it's their right to own like it's protection but with black people, it's a qualifier for a death sentence.

DancingOni

love your guys' work, thank you

Doug Justice

dude spoke the truth. ya he fucked up, but death shouldn't be an option. ya he had guns, well shit i have guns too. RIP to all the people who lost life when they made a mistake near a cop. its not right

Amazing journalism, keep it up bruvs. Thank you so much.

it blows my mind how y'all's editing style can work both for comedy and for heartfelt moments like this. also the camera work here is getting fantastic. keep it up <3

PnkPanther

Wow, so powerful. Amazing work Andrew. Had me tearing up. Raw

Crushin the Gushers for the homie! Nice way to bring it home.

opie

This is the video that convinced me to support the Patreon. This content is necessary.

Your interview style is changing the game. Shoutout to the great camera work and editing as well.

No joke, this moved me to tears.

KFB

Such a great piece it really moved me

This is unbelievable. Great work guys <3

Joshua C Holton

Real deal journalism right here. Hard not to feel something real and deep watching this.

Jonah Marshall

We Eating gushers in the name of Daunte Wright

This is why you’re the only person I’ve supported on patreon. This is why you are the only reporter I trust completely. Because you listen more than you talk. “Real shit, that man had kids” I’ll never look at gushers the same way.

Fantastic job guys 👍

great reporting, loved the ending!

this shits powerful. dont change a thing.

You are all doing amazing work. Thank you for this.

Your content has progressed so much since your first AGNB videos. As an editor and videographer I love to see that. Keep killin it fellas!

Real shit. So happy you guys broke away from AGNB to make more of this!!

Excellent journalism... The way you guys illustrate how people feel about these issues is fantastic.

Jesus fucking Christ. Thank you for what you are doing. This is really important work, and you're doing it really well.

Jason Gardinier

Thanks for all the great work you guys do!

VapoRubBoy

Also, Dudes, the whole team is killing it. The lead praise is always Andrew, but the camera crew has to be chill too or the thing doesn't flow. Shoutout to Evan, and other Dude(sorry I don't know your name). You guys are a true team. Thank you all for these segments.

Richard Springfield

Great reporting! Heart wrenching stories like these need to be seen

Nate Dan

Using your own AGNB clip as part of a media segment was brilliant. Way to take it back. You Dudes deserve to be counted among those other news outlets.

Richard Springfield

Amazing, thank you for the important work youre doing

Thank you so much for this 🙏❤️

This video almost made me cry thankyou andrew we all love u

ben sponseller

Absolute godly reporting

Great shit

Amazing work.

Kelly Hamilton

You’re going the right way with all this dude. Keep up the amazing work and the powerful momentum. Keep that hilarious shit rolling in too though 😂👌🏻 variety is the spice of life haha

George

This is exactly what we need right now

No

That was incredible

Once again, covering American life the way it needs to be seen.

Incredible video, it made me emotional.

Annette Alanis

Wouldn't the officer have been justified in shooting Daunte anyways because he was attempting to flee in a car potentionally endangering multiple other innocent people's lives? Or do you wait until he hurts someone to stop him? Regardless, I don't know how you confuse a taser for a gun.

This is stunning. The reveal at 7 min broke me. Thank you for covering the real shit.

Powerful Thanks for covering real shit.

Unique The Vision

Man, wasn't expecting this at all. Awesome job guys!

Wow. So worth the wait. Thank you for telling this story

Mike

Wow, this is incredible. Thanks channel 5 team

Brilliant.

The more I see these the more I cry. These are the angles that the news outlets cut into 5 seconds of a quote and they give their opinions off of that and frame this in a way to show they are hurting but that it shouldn't affect you as a viewer. This cut really hit my heart. There should be pathos. How we feel is just as important as how we think. Good work

Kameron Archer

Rest in paradise George and Daunte <3

raphael

Loved to see this

Thank you guys so much for this. Love to all the folks who lost people to the pigs.

Varian Edward Garza Reyes

The Gusher part really hit me hard for some reason. I can't explain it properly but such a small detail spoke volumes about Duante's humanity and the people in his life/community.

ben (next to blue)

I usually like to have your work first due to the Patreon but just go ahead and make this available for everyone to see

Julian Schenini

This is beautiful. Thank you Andrew & team

Emily Muckler

Damn. You guys are really getting good at showcasing heart wrenching stories in these videos. The emotion is palpable. Excited for more eyes to get on this video.

Evan Richter

This is legit. I appreciate the hell out of the juxtaposition of your footage to major media news outlets. Truly shows the distance between the conglomerates reporting on this and the actual public reaction/opinion. The world needs more coverage like yours. Keep killin it, boys

Dude I don’t know how you do it, but this video is genuinely amazing

Pablo Coria

This is the stuff, man. This shit. Well done.

Dylan Treon

A+ journalism as always. Not gonna lie I started tearing up at about 5:00. This shits emotional and it's so relieving to see real reactions from real people without the media trying to twist and fabricate the story. The whole world needs to see this!

Yeah this really has to be seen by the masses. You guys are actually out here doing mad decent reporting. Please put on youtube soon!

George Gabb
