Hi! I was listening to the show today (regarding casinos), I was a table game casino dealer (at an Indian casino in Connecticut) for nearly 20 years. My personal opinion regarding card counting is if you can count them without the use of a mechanical/computer assisted device, then you should be able to. I know the casinos have different opinions, but if you think about it, blackjack is only one game (of the 4 major games - blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, and then the less popular pai gow poker, novelty games - money wheel, 3 card poker, Caribbean stud, Let It Ride - to name a few) so the bottom line (take) shouldn’t affect the casino too much. Blackjack has about a 3.2% edge if everyone plays basic strategy (which not everyone does) that percentage changes all the time. I’ve seen some very stupid strategies on blackjack, and craps but in the end the house always wins. They have the bankroll to weather the highs and lows of any loss. Love this podcast and all you guys do.
