Post got copyright strike claim…

This was work from the Bible ASMR channel I’ve done work for before, but apparently they didn’t like that I put it on my channel too. So now you guys get extra patreon exclusive access to another private vid!

Hey thanks for that! Copyright law seems more confusing than it should be. I’m always reminded of the case of someone selling rights of a photo to Getty and then being sued for posted their own photo on their own website in their body of work.

Apologies if you already knew this and I’m being boring and obvious.

Hi Jessi. New member. Just saw this while scrolling for a sleep vid. Legally, the answer is pretty simple. When you create some work from your brain, and put it into some fixed medium (script, video, etc.), you have the copyright to that work… unless you formally assign it to another. If you wrote and recorded a video, and uploaded it to another channel, you own the copyright, unless you signed an agreement that transferred that right to the channel owner.
