2021-07-09 16:06:50 +0000 UTCJust letting you guys know that the French guy near the end there, who also jumped out of the plane in episode 1, is Batroc. We were introduced to Batroc in the beginning of Captain America: Winter Soldier... where Steve fought him on a ship. This is a really powerful episode... especially the unfolding of Isaiah Bradley's history. He essentially did exactly what Steve did in The First Avenger... went on an unsanctioned rescue mission. But while Steve was immortalized a hero for his actions, Isaiah was betrayed and punished. This whole show is about Sam coming to accept within himself, that despite what happened to Isaiah, that despite a world of conscious and unconscious bias... that a black man can & should be Captain America.
