I think he didn't realise that she was raped (different times I guess) and I'm pretty sure he was raped in prison too

I really hated Michael in this episode, sort of like Steve's take. He was completely disrespectful to Polly when he said, "maybe it is funny" and walked off. Usually I like his character, and he has good moments. But really didn't like him in that scene at all, especially after what Polly went through for him. I suppose if I had to put myself in his teenage shoe's (he's 18?), maybe he felt embarrassed that his mum was that desperate and stooped that low to get her boy out of jail, maybe the others in jail "thought it was funny" and for a teenager that'd be embarrassing. Maybe he felt like he could handle himself in jail like Arthur was because to him, he's a "gangster Shelby" now too and wants to prove himself. But even all these things don't justify being completely disrespectful/ungrateful and not even caring about whether Polly was hurt or forced. Like you both said, imagine if Tommy or Arthur had been told what had happened - they sure as hell wouldn't have found it funny. They'd be furious.
Love your reactions as always! I hope you react to this and the 100 more, they're both amazing and only get better :)

This is my favourite show of the ones you are watching atM, I knew you would like it too, the Shelby Family is so well portraited.
