Chuck's need to control Jimmy was always a driving factor behind his mental illness. Once Jimmy became a lawyer, Chuck's illness began. In this episode we see Chuck's mental state at its worst when Chuck tells Jimmy these terrible things how he feels about Jimmy -- and then Chuck starts the lantern fire.
