What Dr. Nelson said to his daughter is much like what Finch told Will Ingram about Nathan's sentiment for him. I also like the connections this episode makes to the pilot, and they're fitting because IIRC the amount of story Jonathan Nolan had in mind at the beginning ended up being spread over these first two seasons.
