IM3 is one of the weaker MCU movies for me. I still like it for a lot of reasons (character story arc, etc.), but I had issue with a couple of points. 1) Tony was hard pressed in Acts 1 & 2. He played a scavenger and even had some life threatening situations - only to reveal in Act 3 that he already had an army of remote controlled suits just waiting for him to give the word. 2) Tony has already proven his armor is durable enough to go a few rounds with Thor. These Extremis Augmented enemies in IM3 are no where near as formidable as Thor, yet Tony's suits fall apart too easily against them.

IM3 is a very character driven “episode” of the MCU. It may not be as event driven as the first two... but I think it heals the story issues from the first two. Tony didn’t just stop selling weapons, stop some terrorist, and take back his company and all is well. He had a lot more ‘sins” to fix. This movie really told more of the story that was adverted. I loved it for all those reasons & the ways it was different. I love it when the same recipe isn’t recycled movie to movie.
