You are now seeing why people love (to hate) Negan. He is such a great villain. Played brilliantly by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He is a very complex character. I thoroughly enjoy your analysis of each episode. It will be great when we can all see the episodes at the same time without worrying about spoilers except for those who have read the comics. It is clever of the show (to my understanding) not to follow the comics completely. Keep up the great work.

I really enjoyed this episode. It did however take sooo long to edit, this episode was an hour and five minutes long, and deciding what to leave in, and what to take out was a challenge... because I wanted to leave so much in.

Excluding premieres and finales (including mid-season) This is legitimately one of my favorite episodes of the ENTIRE SERIES!
Specifically because of the dynamic that was created and that we see between Carl & Negan. It finally brings Carl to the forefront like the main character he should be at this point & gives us a relationship and the dynamic that we really haven’t seen before.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan executed flawlessly with a touch of mystery to it where you aren’t exactly sure where he’s going to go with it until he goes there.
I remember reacting to this episode myself when it aired and I don’t think I’ve ever been as hyped for an episode up until that point aside from No Way Out (609). Not to mention There are some straight off the pages comic panels & scenes which the comic fan in me LOVES!
I also remember the uneasy feeling that I felt in my stomach knowing how many things were being built up to this midseason finale and I am so excited to see your reaction to it :D!
I also remember feeling the way that you both did about Negan. Just when you think you’ve got him figured out he throws a curveball at you that makes you rethink everything and that is exactly what this entire episode does and I love the discussion that you have about it because not everybody catches it and a lot of people think it’s surface level but I love how you to pick up on the subtle things ❤️!
