Love Periphery! Misha is a monsterβ¦ Ambitions is my favorite so far of their English crossover albums, before that would be JinseixBoku= ! There really isnβt much filler on any of their albums, tbh. I also agree that Bon Voyage is a real sleeper!

2023-09-30 07:24:40 +0000 UTCI initially did not like American Girls because it was too "poppy". Fueled by Ramen wanted One OK Rock to do a funny song. Taka said One OK Rock does not do funny songs. And American Girls is what they came up with. The MV of this song is really funny and Taka is a pretty good actor in it. And Mike Shinoda co-produced One Way Ticket.

Ambitions is a throwback for me, I remember listening to this album on repeat in 2017 when I was tryna get through uni (I am geriatric). It's ok, hard to love hits everyone hard! I don't think anyone in the punk rock emo scene has a simple relationship with their parents lmao. Also your Phil Collins reference caught me off guard but it was strangely accurate π made me laugh out loud in public haha. Cheers!

The Japanese one has three other songs: 20/20, Always coming back, Lost in Tonight. Also the Avril Lavigne feature on Listen. You mightβve noticed how their concert versions of these songs are partly in Japanese, they almost always do the Japanese versions live which is why Iβm partial to them haha. Also 20/20 and Always coming back are my top favorite songs of the album. Hard to Love is a song Taka wrote for his dad. That song along with Jaded and American Girls were only on the international/English version of the album.
