From the other end of the BTS talent spectrum, Iโd love to see your reaction to the Cypher series and Tear. There are lyrics videos and live performance mix videos for all, some even merge live performance segments for the same song into one video. This is the Rap line hard core and a great juxtaposition to the vocal line. After the different Cypher performances itโs impossible to believe JHope was not a rapper before he joined BTS. And Suga is savage, RM is the epitome of a leader.

On the Run! episode, when they found out that this was the song that ARMY wanted to see a live performance of most, RM promised that they would make it happen. Maybe during a muster after they come back? I can hope, anyway. I don't know how much you were paying attention to the lyrics, since you were focused on how difficult a performance might be, but this song is both sad and comforting to me. BTS acknowledge the problems that ARMYs are experiencing in their daily lives, the shadows behind their cheers, and also acknowledge that we feel that their music helps us deal with those shadows and makes it possible for many of us to eventually step back into the light. RM says he doesn't feel like he is worthy to hold so much power over someone's life and he's lost and confused sometimes but he wants us to keep going. Jimin says that they chose to "play this game", chose to be idols. Suga says that if they won't be here for us, who will be? They promise to always keep singing for us. To me, that's the heart of this song, an acknowledge meant from BTS of how much their music means to us and a promise to always keep singing for us, because of that. Also, the line about "Louder than bombs" may be a play on words, since the BTS light stick is called an ARMY bomb. Just my thoughts on this song.

I cry almost every time I heard it because it talks to that part of me that wants to keep going, but not sure how to. Definitely on my "Keep Going" playlist for when I'm feeling defeated by life.

2022-12-21 18:42:39 +0000 UTCat this point im thinking namjoon said it would be hard live as a excuse not in a bad way but because they knew they wont be touring for a while and probably wont be doing map of the soul songs again live and it also may have to do with the meaning of the song if i remember right namjoon said he cried while writing this song so maybe its hard to perform emotionally for them not that itll be hard to perform it technically. thats my theory anyway cause youre not the first musician to say it wouldnt be difficult to perform so maybe he just said that so armys wouldnt ask anymore maybe theyll perform it in 2025 or maybe theyll never perform it who knows.

I agree they could do it, maybe not at concert but certainly in the same way The Tiny Desk concert or the BBC Radio One Iโll Be Missing You performance. Both had a live band and with some backing tracks to enrich the sound, they would crush it. I saw on I think a Run BTS episode where they had to guess which song ARMY wanted to hear and none of them guessed that this was the song voted for the most. They were really shocked and said they would consider doing it but it never happened. Thanks for this John. ๐๐๐ค๐จ๐ฆ
