This episode was again another amazing one but the elimination was just so damn emotional! Seems Benji did get the first boot achievement… but as the first boot in the merge. Poor goofball, I really began to like him a lot 😞 Poor Hannah though, she lost another friend… or rather she lost a big brother 😭 (sorry to the people who ships them though 😅) I honestly thought at first Richard was going to get out because of his speech with Logan. Almost felt like his time in the game was up but I was wrong. Old man still in the game 👍 But for Jade… I won’t lie. The way she acted before and after the elimination… reminded me of S1 Ellie in a way. Ellie did all she could to survive in the game yet she still felt horrible for the misdeeds that she did. Jade felt bad for voting off Benji since he saw a hero in her during the singing challenge… it honestly felt bittersweet All and all, the first merge episode was intense! and also… I hope Emily doesn’t take advantage of this. I know she and Trevor are rekindling their friendship but I hope she doesn’t take advantage of it.

The show's done basically nothing but drag her through the mud, breaking friendship after friendship and basically never letting her be happy. She can't keep up her cheery demeanor forever... eventually, something is going to break and she will rampage.

Great episode. Very emotional. Saw that elimination coming and the suspense was EPIC! Jade sure is competitive and Richard’s easily distracted. I totally thought she’d pick Spencer and Logan to receive their gifts as an apologetic gesture for not helping Logan in the challenge. Little surprised she didn’t get called out for not helping Logan. I chuckled when she commented that she’d drown Richard in frustration. Is it me, or does Jade look down on seniors? Quite the puppy dog eyes and the hosts slayed with those pirate outfits. Glad to see Isabel finally showing more of her ruthless side. Can’t wait to see how far this merge phase goes. 9.9/10

Character depth: New Merge Anastasia: She still got little legs to stand on. Almost thought she was a goner. Zaid and her was interesting duo but didn’t get explored a lot more. Both lost their partners and they have common ground. Girls alliance is back and she’s going be loyal until they’re deemed unworthy of her trust. Her saving Logan was sweet. She still got some development to go and hope she doesn’t go through full villain. Logan: Can’t believe how I like him and Spencer together over Spencer and Diego. Truly coming out on his own with sexuality. Logan seems to be the only person everyone can trust and could be downfall when the new evil mastermind comes for him. Richard: Honestly liked him a lot this episode from being a mentor to Logan & his silliness during the challenge making Jade furious was hilarious. Thought he was a goner too because his big moment with Logan but he lives to see another day. Him feeling sorry for Hannah after the elimination was sweet and mindful thoughtful because his daughter probably close to Hannah’s age. Maybe this will lead to some good moments between Hannah and Richard next coming episodes. (Could be his downfall for the Hannah Curse) Jade: She was making furious this episode because she’s cared more about winning than other own well being. Now that Spencer and her survived the teams portion that’ll be an unstoppable duo with isabel. Her reuniting with her turtle stuff animal is a sweet but she better keep it safe or else someone will use it as some type leverage sabotage. Funny how Benji was biggest one wanting to her out was one of most sad after Hannah after him being eliminated. She’s got a heart inside of her but her being in dominant evil alliance is not a good look for her. Spencer: Good his immunity over and we’ll see if he can survive another round… probably would honestly. At least him and Logan are getting more engaging. Spencer is playing himself at end of the game through he seems to like Logan a lot. Seeing how he doesn’t want another Diego betrayal. We’ll see how he reacts during the comeback challenge when he has to face seeing both his current and past crush together. Natalia: I mean this girl kinda floater at this point. Now they’re merge shes in a good position. Got her BFF Isabel back, better terms with Richard and Logan, & currently not deemed as a big threat. Hope she has some kind of big moment besides just being a double crosser. Let’s see if she can in next episode keep Hannah on their side. Zaid: I mean he’s being salty about Ivy’s elimination is hard. Can’t control how he feels but Benji didn’t act alone in the decision to eliminate Ivy. Like he should’ve accepted the apology from Benji. They’re even now. Now zaid got no potential genuine allies now except Anastasia who only really wants his vote. Hope eliminated Benji gives the closure you needed for Ivy’s elimination. Isabel: The definition of Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing. She’s bringing back the energy that got Ted eliminated. She nice enough person not let someone like Logan die but she’s still evil mastermind who’s been ahead of the game better than everyone else. Isabel knew she had to eliminate Benji or else he would’ve told merge Blue Team members of her and jades schemes. Now that he’s gone there’s no one left to expose her. She’s one step ahead of everyone. Hannah: Poor thing. After she got to merge she immediately loses the one friend on her team who actually made the merge and he’s just gone. Hannah being with girls alliance will be short and will hopefully do what Benji couldn’t to rightfully exposed Jade and Isabel. Benji and Hannah were my favorite friendship even if they were meant to be together. They made for excellent friendship. Also one flaw of their friendship was Hannah was taking control Benji sometimes and not trusting him with his opinions. Shes my new favorite to win. Go Hannah. Benji: NOOOOOOOO! Our lovable goofball is gone and it’s all because of that nun. I mean first boot allegations to reality first merge boot. Good stuff. He my new top favorite to win the comeback because ik it’s going be someone we want and someone who never expected. Benji played a good game with dumb luck. Glad he found friends with Hannah who saw him as real friend and ally. Sad him and Zaid couldn’t get collusion but the season still young. You can tell Zaid deep wanted to reconnect with him. Benji can now be goofy balls with Tristen now and maybe finally be canon. I preferred Bannah over Bristen but like Benji said him and Hannah are more like brother and sister. Even had a weird awkward moment like when they first met. He’ll be missed!

The most emotional episode of the season…was the one where Benji gets eliminated. Who saw this coming from the beginning of the season? Alright, let’s talk about this episode as always, shall we? Finally, the first time a guy went home the first elimination during merge. Though, I was thinking it was going to be Logan tbh. Given Spencer’s history with Diego in the show, it wouldn’t have surprised me if something were to happen that would be directly be responsible because of what he did. Even Spencer showed he’s willing to go behind Jade’s back again during the elimination process of trying to get out Anastasia. Even though Spencer isn’t getting eliminated next episode, he’s not lasting longer than Jade, that’s for sure. Speaking of, way to go queen Jade! Her having Richard as a parter was incredibly funny and so relatable in her struggle for how serious she was in the challenge. Also. Her connection with the stuffed animal was very wholesome and makes her stand out more as a character worth rooting for. I hope she gets her revenge on Spencer eventually. Isabel be showing some evil like colors for cutting Hannah’s best friend out of the picture, something that seemed to shock Jade quite a bit so. Though, I think Natalia is smart enough to not be stuck being the flip vote yet again and try to do something about Isabel as she’s someone who’s trying to take control of the game during the merge and rely on past history to make her game better for herself as the “innocent” player that she is. Richard showing how he’s the best motivator left in the merge for his backstory sharing and life lesson for Logan in something that’s very universally a great message. Way to go for Richard being the proud supporter of Logan coming to terms with his sexuality. Zaid and Anastasia, people will never have Marissa or Ivy return in the merge, forming a broken heart duo of pure revenge and destruction, and I’m quite excited to see what these two bring for wrecking a storm with the votes here. For Benji, this episode really showed how he’s matured (in his own way) throughout the show and played it real with Hannah (confirming the Hannah Curse keeps living on and will be on someone’s sign during the final 3 challenge if she makes the finals) for how she’s got to keep playing the game. Hannah isn’t a player, she was a person brought into a world that kept hurting her over (Amelie) and over (Diego) and over (Tristan) and over (Benji) again! Maybe she can use her curse to take out some of her enemies, because as of now, Hannah is a walking totem that eliminates anyone who gets too close to her for friendship. She’s probably got the saddest social story out of anyone this whole season since the rest of the players are doing the game and it seems everyone else is out to get her when she’s just trying to find the next best path, ultimately ending in heartbreaking tragedy that’s getting more heartbreaking with every elimination of those closest to her. Well, if Benji’s elimination has the theory going about that Tristan has to come back because Tristan has a tragic backstory where they don’t really have anywhere else to go to after the show is over and now that Benji is eliminated, don’t get too hopeful. That’s what the show expects, and ultimately, it will be two people who would bring chaos to the merge, not resolving stuff peacefully. On that note, great introduction to a successful merge episode, and can’t wait to hear Benji get flustered when being around the questions of Tristan on the interview episode next time.

Dammit 😭 I’m really sad cuz Benji is my favorite male character this season but I’m still gonna have hope he could win the comeback, even if I don’t see it happening because his speech felt so final for both his and Hannah’s development. Hopefully we get some more cute Trinji moments for the comeback episode because I do want them to get together but I want it on screen so bad. All in all this was a pretty good episode, I’ll just need time to mourn the silliest of boys, Benji. With Anastasia and Benji being my two faves I knew this elimination would be rough once they started deliberating cuz I knew no way Zaid was leaving. Hopefully Anastasia can go for a deep run and win it. Here’s hoping Benji will win comebacks! (Copium)

This has to be the messiest elimination ever in disventure camp. They did a good job building all these alliances and rivalries that it’s hard to have true alliances here. There’s enemies begrudgingly working together and friends backstabbing each other. It’s hard to see who’s with who anymore and I love it.
