Her treatment of Benji about his sense of humor didn't do her any favors, and there was a cold/lukewarm reception to her initial dynamic with Amelie that came off as forced to viewers. I recall people critiquing her character by saying she claims to be a people person but until the most recent episode she has had no real allies outside of Amelie, and similar complaints as Ivy about Hannah coming off as overly righteous when she claims to have this strong grasp on people just because she's a bartender.

She knows the game requires making big moves, but is too scared of compromising her morals and being corrupted. As for the “Lynda’s days are outnumbered” comment, I believe Marissa was speaking in a matter-of-fact tone because Lynda essentially dig her own grave. It’s not like Marissa’s targeting her, but is likely stating the obvious: Lynda painted a target on her back for behaving like an uncooperative wild card.

To add onto your point, Spencer goes to Jade, the most ‘trusted’ person to him at that point, about how Diego was a liability to him and when she turned it down, only then Spencer started acting more irrationally. Spencer is someone who as Diego said “Hides such a big heart”, Spencer is so human for what he did, doesn’t mean it was the right choice but it makes the plot much more compelling

She plays it up on purpose for the cameras, and she knows it. But she used to be genuinely kind. Ivy was born into success. Her harshness comes from not ever having to care about what other people think of her, as long as she's "nice" (ex. patting Benji on the head). She lacks Riya's awareness, or rather it's not natural for her to care how she's coming off. Yet, she plays up her LA-style friendliness because that's how she has likely maintained her success growing up. And because she's charismatic, Ivy can actually play the social game of DC unlike AS Riya who coasted on Alec's alliance until the "heroes" idiocy got her into the finale. Would Ivy throw Zaid off a horse running at 40 miles per hour, then break his broken leg again the next day, just because? No. That is an action born of Riya's madness and desperation for success. Ivy's potential misdeeds are smaller, but might be even more infuriating for the viewers, since seeing a born-success win more and face little consequences for their growing condescension is more rooted in reality.

On one hand she's not the flat damsel most viewers see her as so far and has actually reflected on her relationship with Zaid in a smart way, and on the other hand she might be reducing herself and Zaid to characters instead of taking a chance on something real happening in front of her, which is shallow. Either way, that bit of dialogue made her a whole lot more interesting.

I really love how her character is being handled. ONC loves a flawed female character, and Ivy is a fresh spin on one. We have the morally greys like Ellie, and the unashamed villains like Riya and Fiore. Ivy's condescending attitude toward her teammates is off-putting and hints that she's more shallow and mean than she lets off, but at the same time she has enough cute dynamics with her team to still make her charismatic and likable. Her lack of self-awareness right now is kind of cute. Now she's the de facto leader of Red Team's largest alliance. Red Team dynamics are great. Jade and Spencer are presented as the unstoppable power duo with the idol, which almost makes you want to root for the other two "minor" alliances despite Hannah and Ivy rubbing people the wrong way. Please don't make Ivy "snap" and reveal her "true" nature as a ferocious diva. And if you do, please give her an actual good reason to do it and nothing at all like AS Emily's switch-up. She is intriguing right now as she is.

It’s like Ted all over again. Only this time… it was from someone I really did liked. Poor Diego Also, I really loved the talk Marissa and Anastasia had in the beginning. It was really beautiful and sweet. Though, I won’t lie, I didn’t expect Ivy to feel like she and Zaid can’t be together for certain reasons. Even though she does like him in a way. I hope Tristan can help them out somehow… if possible. All and all, amazing episode. (Also, Richard’s the MVP of that challenge. Reminds me a lot of Miriam 😁👍)

I liked Ivy's talk with Zaid. Yeah I want her and Zaid to be a thing, I feel she's looking at it a bit logically, she doesn't want to ruin the relationship with Zaid by dating him, she clearly enjoys his company and can see they may clash down the line. I still want Zaid to change her mind though. 3. I really hope my theory of a team swap is soon, because we're @ Episode 5 and we're already down to 14 left. Spoilers: 4. Oh Spencer, you shot yourself in the foot. While next episode Jade could grab Benji and Hannah to her side, the Vibe Trio still has the favour Spencer owes them, so they've got control of the team until Merge it seems, unless of course one of them (Possibly Ivy) ruins it and gets the other 2 to turn on them. 5. Ivy ISTG if you start going down the villainous route, I will be mad. If she turns out like S1 Ellie, I'll be fine. Though I don't see her being a full born villain, she just seems entitled and a bit judgy (A fucking stick) 6. Please don't let this be like TD this season and just have the teams lose equally, I want to see one of the teams lose a lot more soon, like the previous seasons, that's what made it good. 7. If there is a team swap, I hope it shifts around the balance of power, though I'd love it if Ivy and Spencer get swapped to the Blue team and have to work together.

Jake's emotions are a lot more self destructive and doesn't think things straight, which hurts people he cares about. Spencer at least thinks how his emotions will affect his game and he managed to get rid of what was throwing him off his game. But I think Spencer will be rattled for a while and Jade has to pick him back up.

Most of you probably will not agree with what I'm going to say, but I think it would be the funniest thing on the planet, if he won the entire season. Isabel plots for todays eliminated contestant to come back to cause tension on team red so they win the last challenge before merge, red team has a mixed vote for who to come back to blue team, but ultimately see ted as the least threatening, and make that mistake. Either that or they do a comeback challenge for each team, but i think it would make sense with the episode count to bring these 2 back this way.

She’s getting more screwed on an emotional level than anyone else this season is receiving. Here are my thoughts on the characters. Spencer: Get f***ed! Ivy: Her evil arc is a coming Jade: Be smart and vote off Spencer next, he betrayed you girl! Benji: Sooooo, when does Benji’s redemption arc start coming? He’s dropping more balls of opportunities in this game than his actual balls get dropped with pain throughout the series. Diego: We lost the heart of the red team. This makes me hate Spencer more than ever (AY, so even after Ted got out, we STILL had our male villain of the season still. Great job Odd Nation Cartoons!) And I updated the prediction chart last week to have Diego winning this show! Hannah: Well, there goes my Hannah/Diego shipping. Even if they weren’t love interests for the other, she found another person she could call a genuine friend in the game. And to have all of her hard work…wasted once again. Hannah is facing the most tragedies of Red Team and it breaks my heart. Tristan: Not much else to add but to say they once again, COOOOOOOOL!!! Also their running animation is pretty fun to watch as well. Zaid: I feel like he’s going to last longer than Ivy at this point. Dude needs to cook up a good strategy or at least help Ivy not fall down the path Riya chose. Richard: YOOOOO! This dude truly be the MVP of the blue team! In the words of Michelle Yeoh, age is just a number, and Richard is proving he can dominate in physical challenges. Lynda: Looks like our double/triple/quadruple agent player is finding ways to still stay alive, thanks to Marissa. Marissa: She’s a real one this episode. She’s got probably the biggest heart of blue team, and I as a person respect her moral values on and off the battlefield. And just like Anastasia said, I’ll respect whatever she does next. Anastasia: She’s becoming one of my favorites out of many this season more and more, and I just adore her growth this episode and the relationship build up with Marissa as well. These two are so beautiful together. Isabel: Ah, I see you girl, u were celebrating how you wanted to celebrate after the coconut toss, and your bestie Natalia saw it too. Natalia: I sympathize her feeling and for Logan, but I also feel like she knows it’s going to be hard to rebuild the trust that was no broken with him. Logan: As a former varsity swimmer myself, I understood his whole swim metaphor and feel like he’s got some good social skills to keep on surviving yet still. Overall, this season isn’t holding back one bit, and I feel like Red is next to lose again after this vote. They got to eventually allow blue to sit a player out, so my prediction is red will once again lose. I also predict Jade will work with Hannah and Benji to get rid of Spencer, but Spencer, Ivy, Tristan, and Zaid will form a pack to get rid of Jade to flush out her idol and then vote out Benji or Hannah instead. Idk, all I know is I’m very much exited to see how the next episode plays out. Awesome job once again Odd Nation Cartoons!

I feel like Ivy might be the villain of the season moving forward. The way she talked to Benji was really out of pocket. Speaking of Benji, the delivery of that "fuck" was honestly amazing. One of the best comedic readings of the show. Kudos to Winston Chen.

As for the votes, the 2 for Benji were from Jade and Diego, the votes for Spencer were from Benji and Hannah, and Diegos votes were Spencer and the vibe tribe. And look where we are now, Jade a loner, Spencer an outcast, and The vibe tribe is sitting pretty, a truly crazy spectacle. On a more positive note, loved seeing Richard shine in this challenge and Isabel continuing to ensure that the others believe that one of the guys, specifically Logan, has the totem.

Hannah and Diego had great moments and I can’t get enough of the Marissa/Anastasia moments. Sparks are sure flying for Zaid and Ivy. The challenge was entertaining and Richard was in the zone! Derek had such humorous lines. Gotta hand it to Diego: he sure was brave for trying to upgrade his bond with Spencer. So much happening and so much more bound to happen. The heat is on! If only it was on in the freakin freezing state I live in. 🥶 9.7/10

Anastasia and Marissa being adorable, especially by the water when Anastasia took Marissa's hands reassuring her she'll support her no matter what. Amazing duo. RICHARDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!! He was serving in the challenge and had a real moment to shine. Zaid and Ivy both aware of their feelings about each other but acting oblivious with Tristan trying to play matchmaker is pretty interesting. I think I overestimated how much I like Jade and Spencer. Especially Spencer. He was all over the place emotionally and had to make a decision that really hurt his standing in his team. Jade wasn't any better. I'm sorta seeing the criticism that she has no real personality outside of strategy and I'm definitely seeing that. Overall, a solid episode with moments I liked, some I didn't and an elimination that made sense given the previous content beforehand to the votes.
