Sadly, people think - adults or kids - that just because it's the internet is OK to divulge content despite of the creator request for discretion and privacy. I think I came here just 3 weeks or so ago and I liked what I was able to play of the game (sadly, I never was able to make day 3 work). But, my point is (just like many other of your Patreon supporters): I can wait. After all, is not fair that all your hard work is just being used and abused for people that think "It doesn't matter" if they share links or content of your work. Regarding kids having access to adult content when they should, well... that's a topic that will probably never have a real solution because there are so many variables when it comes to children: the parenting - or lack thereof - they receive, the people they hang out with, their own stubbornness to do things when they are explicitly told "DON'T...", etc etc etc Anyway, my best wished and success to the team and you. Honestly at this point it seems that you’ll have to ID check players before handing out a personalised link to them. And with the ID checking you’d probably need additional forms of identification from them to confirm their identity as well :/ but this doesn’t sound viable and would be extremely time consuming and inefficient Unfortunately, minors don’t want to be protected from sexual content they want to view even at the requests of the creators because they don’t respect creators if it means they can get it free of charge (and seemingly consequence) And taking them to court or something over copyright infringement would be difficult since your lawyers would have to be aware of copyright law on an international scale

The issue with ID- the game again is not only to keep minors out, but what if the person who's leaking the game and such , has a fake ID or is a legal adult? They'd still be able to catch onto the game if they are a legal adult and you start to ID for the game link. Though ID-to keep minors out is a good thing, the idea of ID the game link will be a rather hefty process for not only the team but the people trying to play the game. Theres alot of pick and choose and not alot of options. I just hope whatever comes out on patron,stays on patron for when fuboo is ready to announce it to be fully released . But of course there are killjoy who ruin it and post it on the internet. Theres not much the team can do honestly- I just hope they don't gain more stress from the situation .

People will always find ways to leak shit. It happens with everything online nowadays. And i know it must hurt you as a creator who spent a godawful amount of time and energy into it but i think uploading it and taking it down is just hurting your genuine fans and personally...ive lost interest in waiting to play it. I really think this game would have blown up if people got to play it, there were so many good reviews about this game all over the internet. Good luck with the new link and your success! But maybe consider uploading it regardless of what happens for the sake of your fans

Sadly I think leaks is just a part of content creation. The best you can do is an 18+ and a "Don't distribute or stream" warning on the game. I'm still a huge fan and I can wait for more content. But I feel conflicted the fandom as a whole is being punished for a few bad eggs.

Completely understandable, and I can only wish you the best! Admittedly, I was one of the lucky ones that slid in just before things hit the fan and the link was pulled, so I've been able to slake my fixation and rampant need to track All Routes. I've got a tree map in the works and everything! However, I see why people are getting impatient and would be pushing for the link; it's what they signed up for when they joined your patreon. Maybe a public, pinned post explaining what's going on would be beneficial, to at least slow the people demanding a link or joining the patreon specifically to play days two and three? I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of suggestions for tracking who's leaking the game, unless there's a way to generate and track UIDs for each copy downloaded and see what's being put into the links that way, or a unique password needed to unlock the game, maybe downloaded off of Black Shepherd Games? Of course, I can see what problems those bring up as well. I can only wish you all the best in finding a solution. In happier news: thank you for the little teaser sketch! I know it sucks but I would honestly recommend raising the price of the Patreon. $1 is absolutely nothing and with the game's popularity, people could probably make profit off of kids wanting to see it. It's unfortunate but raising the price will be a deterrent. $5-$10 might be a better bet.

Bonus would be if they tried to convince their parents to let them get the game but they have to verify for their child- any parent would then question it and look to make sure their child isn’t accessing what they shouldn’t be and they would get themselves busted. Much easier for kids to hide their transactions but not as easy to try to commit identity theft.

Honestly I would support ID verification, many discord servers have their own version of this and I’m sure you can find some way to implement it here or another website. Example of that would be “Write your patreon username on a piece of paper, hold it up to your face with your ID and take a picture, send it to a verification mod” or something similar. Where you can visibly see that the face matches, the date shows they’re of age, etc. I know it’s a lot of work but it really does help deter the minors because then they can’t just steal their parents IDs and try to fake being their parents like they can with a credit card.

The issue of securing the Link seems tricky because there is no way of guaranteeing that people will respect your wishes. No matter if people lie about their age, or even sign some agreement, people will behave in this manner which is disgusting. Maybe you could contact YouTube and explain that people are not following your wishes as the creator of the game, so that whenever people upload any videos with the following texts "Your Boyfriend" "Day 2/3" Gameplay" "Peter" or anything similar YouTube would take it down. However it is not likely to happen. The only suggestion I would give is when you are about to start Day 2 there should be a 15 second pre-screen warning so the viewer is not able to record the rest of the gameplay as it would be a complete violation of a agreement when you went to the download link. Yes, it might not stop people from uploading the game elsewhere. I wish you all the best of luck though! I still can't wait to see what else is new, take all the time you need!
