From Adal:
Here’s what I was up to in October. Let me know if you have any recommendations for me!
TV:
The Chair Company (so weird. very funny.)
Task
I Love L.A.
Starting 5 season 2
MOVIES:
Bring Her Back (really enjoyed this! I kept asking Jemma…”is that Paddington’s mom?!?”)
Interview With A Vampire (had never seen this. Very goofy and horny)
Idiocracy (also had never seen)
John Candy: I Like Me
Caleb Hearon: Model Comedian
KPOP Demon Hunters (love that derpy tiger)
Weapons (watched again with Jemma. Still fantastic)
OTHER:
I had a great time recently guesting on the podcasts - ‘PG’s Playhouse’ (a fantastic brain games podcast hosted by friend Peih-Gee Law from Survivor!) as well as ‘Cartoon Island’!
I missed the motherfucking Morton Pumpkin Festival AGAIN….but maybe next year will pan out
Got to see Paul McCartney in Denver which was a treat. Beforehand we went to the Brown Hotel downtown for drinks and it turned out to be one of the most impressive interiors I’ve seen. Excited to go back their and check out their nautical bar next time I’m in town
Music I’ve enjoyed this month: Geese ‘Getting Killed’, Cameron Winter ‘Heavy Metal’, JSMN ‘Soft Spot’, CMAT ‘Euro-Country’ and the new Taylor Swift
Digging Hades 2! Also have to check out Ball-Pit based on Arnie’s rec.
Just got back from a sojourn in NYC to see the musicals Bat Boy, Chess and The Outsiders
While touring with Magic Tavern and Hey Riddle I’ve managed to check out my first Sheetz and my first Buc-ees. Thrilling times!
If you live in Chicago (or visiting!) I highly recommend you check out my friend Farrell’s new bar The Western (they have a phenomenal burger on the menu). It’s also the new home of CIC Theater which is one of the best spots to watch improv (theater opening soon) and the top place in town to take improv classes for anyone interested. I believe December registration is open now: CICTHEATER.COM
