An open letter and thoughts on a new tier system

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone that has visited fapservice or enjoyed my videos.  And I especially want to thank everyone that has supported the site and many of its compilation endeavors here on Patreon.  I can say with great certainty that the site would be dead if not for your financial help.

As fans of ecchi, I feel like we are part of a small brotherhood (with a few sisters in here too) of like-minded people who get special enjoyment out of seeing anime and manga softcore eroticism.  I know I definitely tend to be aloof and private both online and in my life, but that doesn't change the fact that whenever someone messages me here, I feel like I am talking to a member of the same fraternity.  

Over the past couple years, I've received many messages asking for higher Patreon tiers.  A tiered system is a fun way for users to get something extra they might really want while also giving extra financial support to a creator.  

The reason I resisted this was because I didn't really have enough free time and/or motiviation to justify higher payment rewards, and because the status quo was taking sufficient need of the site's costs.  Basically, if you commit to a tier system, you are kind of committing to Patreon as a low paying, full time job.  At least if you want to do it well.  

However, events and circumstances of this Summer have made me rethink my life priorities.  A few unexpected massive expenses happened, one with the site and one with my personal life, which caused me to max both my cards and it got so bad that I had to borrow $500 from two different people just to barely make payments on time.  This caused some real soul searching and I realized that I was both too frivolous with my spending (I've spent ungodly amounts on ebook nudey manga) and also not motivated enough to earn enough money.  

I realized that i need to work on eliminating my debt, NOW, while also building up a positive savings amount so that I can weather the next unseen emergency.  That means spending less and earning more.  I've already eliminated all meals out, I've cut my manga consumption by about half, and I'm working more hours at my day job.  

These are really good changes, and I want to be clear that I'm not asking for you guys to bail me out.  Even if I never wrote this post I'm sure I'd still get out of debt, it would just take a very long time.  And that's fine, that's just how life works.  

The reason I bring it up is because of the silver lining to this challenge- it's made me feel more motivated to put in the long hard hours here to justify a tier system.  If i put in the work, I can get out of debt sooner, and you guys will get a better product too.

For everyone at $1 tier, you can hang tight and nothing will change, but for others who want to spend more to get a little more, I have some ideas for how to do that. Here is my proposed tier system:

NOTE:  NONE OF THIS IS LIVE YET.  I WILL IMPLEMENT IN A FEW DAYS AFTER HEARING YOUR FEEDBACK.  PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP UNTIL THE TIERS HAVE BEEN CREATED.

Akihabara Tier ($1)

Access to all CONTENT.  $1 will always get you everything and probably immediately but for sure at least eventually.  Basically, it's the same as before.  Three dollars is kind of considered the recommended minimum tier on Patreon, but I feel pretty adamant about people seeing the content easily.  A $1 tier for content is to me what the $1.50 hot dog is to Costco.

Oppai Dragon Tier ($3)

Each month, there will be a post asking for manga compilation ideas, followed by a poll to decide which manga gets a compilation, even if it's exclusive to ebook.  Anyone can make suggestions, but only this tier (or higher) may vote.

Harem Master tier ($5)

You get to vote in polls for new videos.  A new video will be created each month that the general financial goal is met (see below).  If no goal is not met, a 2nd manga poll will be created for this tier.

Man of Culture tier ($20)

You get to directly request a manga compilation once per month that will be delivered that same month.  Limit 20 members.

The rules are that it must have nipple sightings (some very rare exceptions might be granted), and that if it is a large manga, I'll cap each month's compilation at 10 volumes.   If you sign up at this level be sure to message me right away.

Technically, anyone at any tier may suggest a manga to me and I may still do it.  Although with what I expect to be a huge increase in demand for my time on this content, your best bet is to just sign up at this tier if you want it for sure and in relatively little time.

Golden Boy tier ($50)

This tier offers a short custom made video once per month.  Limit 3 members.

This could be a character video of a specific girl from ecchi anime, or a Koikatsu / Chara Studio scenario with 3D versions of ecchi anime characters doing naughty stuff (I'll post examples of this on the Patreon later this month).  Or maybe a short series H anime compilation (shows like Yubisaki kara Honki no Netsujou, etc).  

This is a short video only and NOT a full compilation video for a major ecchi series.

• Overall Benchmark Rewards:

If total sum of money raised in a month is at least $750, I will take votes and create a character compilation video to be completed within 30 days of the poll closing.

If total sum of patronage in a month is at least $1000, I will instead create a BD or TV compilation video, with all the bells and whistles of my past works, to be completed within 30 days of the poll closing.

Please feel free to share your thoughts.  I am definitely open to your feedback and suggestions.  Keep in mind that I have limited time and this is already probably stretching it, but I'm up for a challenge to see how it goes.
