#sundayrundown The slower imperial theme as the Venator emerged from hyperspace was pure perfection, and it was awesome to finally see new named clone troopers introduced without getting killed off immediately. Plus, the return of Gregor and Howzer added a fun, nostalgic twist that really hit home. I loved how Tech's frantic piloting and his desperate shouts for Omega felt just like a dad freaking out while teaching his kid to drive; it was totally relatable and hilariously executed. The episode cranked up the intensity with every scene, from the spectacular opening that showcased the lethal prowess of even the standard clones to the possibility of a clone uprising brewing at Mount Tantis. Seeing Fireball and Nemec in action and the hints of the Bad Batch potentially freeing imprisoned clones only deepened the intrigue. And the quirky moments, like Howzer keeping his hair flawless despite his prison stint and Hemlock's unnerving vibe, that made every moment memorable. I have not been this hyped about Star Wars since the Mando season 2 finale!

Tech teaching Omega to fly like a parent teaching their kid to drive always makes me laugh😂

#SundayRundown Don’t got much for this one other than I forgot how bad Crosshair was getting it. Very sad. So I’m going a little rogue. Where’s the reactions for select episodes of the old X Men cartoon? Either Suraj or Navi confirmed you were doing it a while ago

#SundayRundown. Since you Normies know about The Bad Batch’s connections to The Rise of Skywalker, I was hoping to ask if you were aware that resurrecting Palpatine through cloning was not an original idea for the movie? If not, allow me to tell you guys where the idea came from: the 1991-92 Expanded Universe comic book miniseries “Dark Empire” by Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy. Taking place six years after Return of the Jedi and one year after Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy, the storyline is well known for revealing Palpatine’s survival by placing himself in younger clone bodies of himself, alongside using his loyal Imperial acolytes to continue the war with Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, Chewie, Artoo, Threepio and the New Republic with machines called World Devastators. This is where J.J. Abrams and co-writer Chris Terrio got the idea to resurrect our old pal, Sheev (Palpatine’s first name). The other thing the story is recognized for is Luke’s brief turn to the Dark Side and his apprenticeship under Palpatine. Other things that “Dark Empire” and the Thrawn Trilogy are notable for include reviving interest in Star Wars after the franchise being virtually dead since 1986 (4 years), the reveal of Boba Fett having actually escape the Sarlacc Pit. And finally, both the trilogy and comic introduced these “Ahsoka level” beloved characters: Mara Jade, who goes on to be Mara Jade Skywalker (Luke’s no longer canon wife), and Han and Leia’s (no longer canon) children Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo. Love informing you guys of Star Wars facts you were not aware of, and I hope you guys continue to enjoy the overall universe of Star Wars with the upcoming shows.
