2025-03-13 06:19:29 +0000 UTCThis is the Pixar version of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" 1954, and it's a pretty good adaptation. Both Clone Wars and The Mandalorian tv shows have episodes with the same plot, the clone wars episode even has a little tribute to Kurosawa in the credits.

It's one of the best animated family movies from this time, straight art, but the marketing for it was sabotaged by Disney so they could stop with 2d drawn films, and move into CGI.
