2025-03-07 03:32:41 +0000 UTCEvery Soul reaper that is imprinted on their asuchi enough to achieve "Shinkai" has a Zanpakuto spirit. What's required for Shinkai is "communication" and they have an inner world. What's required for "Bankai" is materialization. Bringing that spirit into this world. Renji materialized zabimaru in front of Ichigo which is how he knew he was only a little step from Bankai. Zabimaru even materialized while Renji was sleeping in his cell after his defeat to ichigo and "Zangetsu". You have actually seen a few of their Zanpakuto spirits. Just have to go back and watch.

2025-03-06 23:32:47 +0000 UTCBleach #SundayRundown In episode 123, the one who we previously referred to as the hollow had told Ichigo and us, that he is Zangetsu, and even in your reaction, Chris had said off-hand that maybe he's always been Zangetsu. That guess was right on the money, the answer has always been staring us in the face and like Ichigo, we simply didn't acknowledge it, or didn't want to acknowledge it. Because we would then question the one who we previously thought to be Zangetsu, who had turned out to the manifestation of his Quincy powers. I remember reading the manga when all this went down, there were so many theories that Yuha and Zangetsu where linked given their likeness and I'm happy you guys didn't even suspect it. Even when I saw all that, I didn't want to believe that the man who had guided Ichigo this whole time was lying about who or what he really was. It really shatters our viewpoint, and it literally shatters the buildings in Ichigo's inner world when he says goodbye. In doing so, Ichigo has not only unlocked his true Zangetsu, but his true self, he knows who he is and where he comes from. Because of this, we're seeing an Ichigo that of which we have not seen before. One who is focused and fully realized, as are his Zangetsu's. Having 2 Zanpakuto is exceptionally rare, and in this series, only Shunsui and Ukitake possess a duel wielding Zanpakuto, both of which are not only captains, but are veterans, students of Yamamoto and some of the oldest among the gotei 13. That should give you an indication of how powerful Ichigo must be at this present moment. Oh and shout out to Shiro Sagisu and Hazel Fernandes, the bankai remix for Number One is so dope.

2025-03-06 04:38:40 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown - Bleach When Yhwach was first revealed in this arc in the manga, so many people said he was a Zangetsu clone and that his design was lazy. I’m sure you can imagine they must’ve felt very foolish after the reveal. And yes that is indeed the same voice actor as Old Man Zangetsu just like they did in Japanese as well.
