That voice you gave my comment is...SOMEWHAT accurate to Nabeshin's voice. 😆 I realize now, I should've put that timestamp a couple seconds later, when it pulls back to show Isshin posed exactly like Ichigo while holding Misaki. You got the idea though. Also, I know TYBW is insane, but don't gaslight yourselves into believing the first series has no value; especially when you wouldn't have nearly the strong reactions you do to the current series if you hadn't watched the first. (And, Suraj, there's no "Creeping Shadows" in the manga. 😉)

The name itself was an omage to a (to this day) pretty prolific name in the industry Shinichiro Watanabe Haven't seen it since highschool and it's so over the top I'm wondering if I think it'll still hold up today. If I had to bet why he chose that reference it's because that dude literally f*$%ed the universe XD

English cities were extremely dirty and sanitation as we know it was almost non-existent. While most European cities were like that, English cities became jam packed with people. Something like 5% of the English population around the 1600's lived in London. In comparison, 1% or less of the population of France lived in Paris.

After people finished their business, they would drop the tow rag back in the ocean and let the ocean take care of the cleaning. One thing I didn't mention due to length of post was not only didn't they wash or bathe much or at all but sailors dental hygiene was f'ing awful even compared to a lot of Europeans of the day. The amount of teeth rot and the smell from that in close quarters must have been something that's hard to imagine today. You saw in the first episode when Japanese soldiers infiltrated Blackthorne's ship and they were inspecting the sailors teeth. This series does an amazing job at showing not telling and in that scene they were showing the viewer bad dental hygiene was a good way to instantly diagnose horrid health and disease back then.
