In Galactica, it wasn't a missile that killed the pilots. It was a comm drone. The Master At Arms said so in the beginning with Chief Tyrol. it was used for communication. It went off and killed them with impact and the drone exploding because of the rocket fuel used to propel the drone. if it was a missile, everybody in the hanger would've died and that hangar probably wouldn't be functional anymore. Also, it was asked before in a previous episode...but the pilots don't give themselves their call sign. someone gives it to them. thats why a lot of them have unflattering call signs.

2024-12-23 19:34:23 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown Justice League War I’m glad you guys really liked this movie because it’s first reception was very mixed because at came at a time where DC comics was going through one of its many resets of the universe after a similar flashpoint event this one being called New 52 which caused a lot of characters origins & characteristics to change which pissed off some og fans understandable. This series of films up to a point won’t say where depending on how far you guys take these films follows this changes of dc characters partially but still have there own storylines to them so if you wanna search up or watch videos on new 52 to learn more they won’t be any spoilers because this is its own media removed from comics but just follows the changes of characters tones primarily for example superman being the poster golden boy to gigchad just for one but can’t wait till you guys get to son of Batman one of my favourites P.S sorry to break the news to Navi just so she doesn’t ask every movie there will not be any Vandal Savage in this universe 😭😭

The clients and cases would be much darker than Angel inc. is used to. Ps. Ryan Adams “La Cienga just Smiled” at the end of episode is a wonderful surprise. Such a great indie rock artist during this time. My dad and I went to many of his concerts

Hal had to call up the Flash to intervene and he was running laps around Supes, pummelling him like those parademons did GL. Until Supes managed to flick him. Deffs watch Batman Ninja for sure! And if you want to watch Green Lantern add 'Green Lantern: Emerald Knights' to your list - its an animted Lantern anthology movie where the framing story is Hal inducting a new Lantern. 'Green Lantern: First Flight' is a Hal origin story too. But the movie I really hope you guys watch before Superman comes out is 'Superman vs the Elite'. I think some of its DNA will be in Gunn's movie.

These movies really set up some unique versions of the characters, like the dynamic with Billy and Vic or Bruce and Hal are something we don’t see too often. This version of Wonder Woman is a pretty great one too really jumping into the fish out of water aspect of her story. Don’t know what they were thinking with Superman though, he’s a bit of a tool and his costume isn’t that great. I can see they wanted to shy away from the typical Superman story but they might have missed the mark here. Still if you are interested in old dc shows that are as good or better than their movies the Justice league unlimited series as well as the 2004 The Batman show are some of the best. Batman the brave in the bold is a great way to showcase a lot of different characters since he’s doing team ups in every episode, and it’s a real refreshing change of pace as it doesn’t take itself too seriously and pulls from the silver age of comics.

2024-12-19 21:20:13 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown - Justice League: War (First off, Rana you’re YJ reactions have been great, can’t wait for you to start S3! & Suraj that was Guy Gardner in the Superman trailer LOL) This is a great movie. Action packed while bringing the team together. It’s also good if you’re a casual since it gives you enough info on each hero to let you know their personality and what they can do. I’m glad to see how hype Spidey is in these reactions + the knowledge from Young Justice playing off for Navi, Suraj & Chris. It’s one of reasons alot of us recommended these movies since they had a similar vibe & story beats in Young Justice. FYI, as far as Creature Commandos, it’s only 7 episodes (episode 4 was this past Thursday) and it’s been well received so far. Maybe you guys can do something similar to what you did with X Men 97? Since it would only be 2 binges once the full season is completed

It also features interviews with some of the survivors (including the late Sen. John McCain, who was nearly killed in the accident when his fighter jet was engulfed in flames). After McCain escaped from the cockpit, a couple of thousand-pound bombs dropped from the belly of his jet into the fire. 2024-12-19 18:01:54 +0000 UTCYeah the DCAMU is heavily influenced by the the New 52 comics run back from the 2010s which had an edgier tone, a younger Justice League, Superman and Wonder Woman potential romance, and everyone’s super arrogant. The filmmakers eventually ease up and stick to more well known interpretations of these characters. Also, other than in Justice League: War, Rosario Dawson voices Wonder Woman for all of these movies.

That was introduced with the New 52, which the DCAMU is an adaptation of. Four seasons of Young Justice and you finally hear Darkseid talk _in something else._ 😂 Jk, he did talk a little. Just a heads up, the DCAMU unfortunately barely does anything with the Lanterns. I don’t even remember seeing Hal charge his ring. This is why you gotta do the two disconnected animated movies if you want more. Also the show. There is a third Lantern movie but that’s part of the Tomorrowverse movie arc that’s after the New 52 movies

2024-12-19 17:19:23 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown (Angel) Fun fact: they changed the werewolf design from Buffy in order to create a more horror feel to the look. They simply said it was a different species to explain away the design. Like I said in an earlier Sunday Rundown, Season 5 is episodic in its plots, but serialized in its characters as it builds to its ultimate philosophical message. This episode in particular is about connection. Angel says the werewolf that bit Nina was so consumed with his curse that he removed himself from people to protect them. Problem is that he became so removed that he stopped caring about people and got careless with his transformations. This idea harkens back to the premiere where Doyle tells Angel that the more he walls himself off from people, the more he has a chance to backslide. It’s also a theme that is connected to being the Wolfram & Hart CEO where the power that comes from the job has the potential to disconnect Angel from the people he wants to protect. We saw that in the Season 5 premiere where Angel saves someone in need, but lawyers and security guards separate him from the woman he saved. This is why the episode ends with Angel letting his team into his apartment and everyone having dinner with each other. It’s important to stay grounded when you have power lest you risk losing your humanity.
