its beautiful to see the goat Solo Leveling winning by such a wide margin. As someone who read the manwha multiple times this adaption unlike a lot of manwha adaptions is 10/10. I love this story and really enjoy the majority of these characters. With the next season coming up which cranks things to 11 I cannot wait to see absolute peak be animated faithfully and beautifully

Slice of life (particularly Spy x Family’s version) is great for reactions. There are plenty of funny, wholesome, sad, surprising, exciting, and action heavy scenes for the Normies to react to and I think they’d enjoy the wider range of emotions

Both are done by great studios so the animation isn't lacking. Solo Leveling is flashier because its a lot more fight, fight, fight but I prefer Vinlands animation. I just loved their use of animation to for a lot of symbolism and thematic moments.

There's no reason for The Normies, a content creator located in the United States, to view anything in sub. You're requiring them to do one extra step that's not needed for a reaction. We're not in the 1980's. Anime dubs have been consistently good for decades; regardless if the dubs are in English, Spanish, German, etc.

I haven't watched "Solo Leveling" and can't comment on the artwork in that series. However, I've seen "Vinland Saga" and really like the art style in that series. The artists do a good job of putting real detail of the armor, fashion, etc. of the time period it's portraying. Either live action or animation, Vinland Saga is one of the best visual portrayals of Norse society I've seen. The art in the character designs are also really good.

Honestly, they would have probably had a better time watching the DanDaDan episodes fully dubbed. The "Goodbye" scene completely went over them because as English speakers, they didn't get the nuance of the variations of Goodbye just via subtitles. In the dub, it is conveyed perfectly in the tone of the voice. Normies crew: Watch whatever language you prefer, it's not that big of a deal!

The thing with Solo Leveling there is a lot of stuff on the screen, like item descriptions for example. Imagine the Normies trying to read what the characters are saying and read items description, and the names of enemies on the screen. It would be a nightmare without trying to pause every few minutes.

Man after Frieren today I was hoping to see Spy Family😅 But tbh knowing how some of them are, I dont think they're gonna enjoy Vinland Saga. Personally loved the show but there are alot of parts where stuff is going down but important info is being given. So knowing that some of the crew mentioned prefer dub, it might be better to pick Solo. Im here for either or though so it's a win-win😄 Also side note: 86 would be an amazing addition to future list. There was a public poll on YouTube with 4 options, the top 2 in that poll would then be put in a patreon only poll for members to vote on. Solo Leveling and Vinland Saga got the most votes, so they’re what got put on the Patreon poll. The two options that lost the YouTube poll were Dr. Stone and Spy x Family, arguably better choices, but also much longer at 49 and 38+1 movie respectively. Compared to 12 episodes of Solo Leveling or all 48 episodes of Vinland Saga with a different group since the original group only reacted to S1 It’s unfortunate, but expected as they’re currently doing reactions to FMAB again with a different group
