I caught up to their second campaign live around the 50 and that became my favorite campaign. Maybe it’s cuz it’s the one I saw live week to week. This early episodes and campaign were really special and hold a special place in my heart. Really hope you guys enjoy it.

It may be worth just spending 5 minutes looking up abuot the kickstater campaign they did to make the show just for interest and see how it blew up . For a while it was the highest funded kickstarter for a entertainment type project. I think Surj would also probably be interested in the little behind the scenes videos they made in the build up making the show.

Also Director Nasty from the YaBoyRockLee channel is in one of my games. I generally run sessions for new players so no knowledge is required. We use Roll20 for dice and maps and discord for voice.

If there's one thing I know more than obscure religious sects and history, it's an encyclopedic knowledge of everything Critical Role. Also as for whether or not people have started watching the campaigns after they watched the animated series, Critical Role's YouTube channel has gotten roughly a million new subscribers since the animated series first aired.
