~~We will be replacing Young Justice slot with DC Animated Movies: https://www.patreon.com/posts/dcau-release-116456731 . So there will be ongoing DC content. We are considering watching "Creature Commandos" when it comes out and during that time we will pause DC movies until Creature Commandos end.~~

I want you to know I read this, but won’t be able to share it on the run down!

Good to know!

#SundayRundown #YoungJustice “We want more!” Your club jackets have been shipped I commented this on the episode where it seemed Connor died, when Lor Zod wasn’t revealed yet. “I see that kryptonian ash imprint and I laugh. I laugh, I say! I hated them. Always have. 😈” I really hate that Mal gets his happy ending, and that it’s necessary for Chameleon Boy and his species to exist. If we ever get S5 I want him to die. His colony can continue on, but I need him dead. Brainy aka Brainiac 5 is a descendant of Brainiac.

#SundayRundown #Angel As problematic as this season can be (and that’s all been discussed plenty) I actually really enjoy this season and a major part of it is that last scene between Angel and Connor. The acting between David Boreanaz (heartbreaking) and Vincent Kartheiser (also heartbreaking) is some of the best of this show I think. But more beautifully tragic is how the last scene of this season perfectly bookends with the very first scene of the season: a family sitting together at the dinner table. Even the parallel we see in the toast (“To family.”) where in episode 4x1 it’s Wesley who says it but now in the finale it’s Connor. Family is what Angel and Connor both needed and desperately wanted with all their hearts. And this theme has been sprinkled throughout this season through Connor's POV, like when he got so affected by the Svear family massacre, and in this episode where he gets so mad at that cop who was gonna kill himself and leave his family behind. In the end they were both fighting for family but unfortunately Angel came to realize that in order to give that to Connor he couldn’t be the father Connor needed. Ultimately, the same theme we’ve seen before on Buffy and even earlier in this season of Angel is that 'Love is sacrifice' (as the big bug demon from episode 4x20 said to Wesley). And Angel literally had to kill his son in order to have him essentially be magically reborn to a new family and happy life. Also the ending music in this episode......so beautiful too, on par with the Buffy season 5 finale music (which was interestingly titled ‘Sacrifice’).

Ariel17

Also wanted to say that there was a panel in Heroes in Crisis where Tim Drake is in therapy and he questions what his place is. He talks about Dick being the original boy wonder who became his own hero in Nightwing, Jason being the anti-hero, and Damian being the son of Batman and heir to the League of Assassins. Tim sees himself as the boring one without a hook and questions how he could measure up. Very small moment, but I thought that was a nice meta commentary about Tim’s character and how he’s perceived by the fandom.

Ren Davis

It’s definitely worth checking out! They really know their stuff and it made me appreciate the series even more.

cosmotron

Thank you for this, gonna look more into it

Zee

I didn’t even know there was a podcast. I’ll check it out.

Zee

Oh shit, I had forgot about that

Infinite Ree

If memory serves, Wally came back and was beset with grief after losing his family. The universe changed after New 52 where Wally and his family no longer existed. He later returned during DC Rebirth, but Linda and his kids Jai and Irey were still lost. He was so depressed that he lost control of his powers and killed everyone else in the Sanctuary. He felt broken as if he were the only hero who had severe mental health problems, but after seeing the tapes of other heroes’ struggles, he feels overwhelmed by all the emotion and kills everyone. He then goes on to cover it all up, leak the tapes of everyone’s sessions, and turn it all into a murder mystery to cover his ass. It was about how these struggles can be so damaging that it led to Wally’s decisions. I may have twisted some of the details as it’s been a while, but that was the gist.

#SundayRundown, Young Justice. The end of an era! I'm both glad you guys experienced the show and sad to see it end. One neat thing I wanted to note. Nightwing has a line to M'ghan about how she is "a ball of sunshine hiding a terrifying demi goddess". That descriptor for her character actually comes from one of the hosts of the Young Justice Podcast, called Whelmed: the YJ Files (highly recommend them, they do deep dives on all the episodes). The writers and actors for the show have been on there multiple times as guests. Anyway, one of the hosts - Emily - has long described M'ghan's character this way on the podcast. Back when s4 was still in production she got an email from YJ co-creator Greg Wiseman to ask for permission to use that description of M'ghan. She didn't know what context it would be used in or when, but happily agreed. When she saw the season finale she couldn't contain her excitement at hearing the line and how it was used. It's a really neat thing to include in the show in my opinion, and super sweet to hear her talk about how excited she was about it. Anyway, let's keep hoping for season five. The show more than deserves it, and I'm so glad y'all enjoyed the story and characters as much as you did.

cosmotron

Out of curiosity, why did people feel like it assassinated Wally’s character

Zee

I mean in his last appearance, they did tease him becoming aware that something bad is going on

Zee

The circle of life

Zee

#Sundayrundown maybe, but have people not mention that Gaius Baltar's actor is the voice of Alucard in Castlevania?

Dominiyankee

I doubt that they would have brought Wally back. Greg Weisman was adamant about that death sticking. He doesn’t want to lessen the consequences of death. Especially with all the fakeouts that they do already.

Ren Davis

It’s been a blast watching Young Justice with you all. And now you all can wait in limbo for a Season 5 with the rest of us 😜

Ren Davis

Just to reiterate, the miniseries is not a prequel and did air first. There's one detail you guys overlooked regarding Helo/Caprica (Don't think it's a spoiler but also don't recall if it ever actually gets called out or plays a roll). The planet has been bombarded with nukes so theres no way of knowing how much radiation is just floating around or where.

Benjamin Donahue

#sundayrundown the random guy in the wedding was Marvin from the first season when he pulled that prank at the Halloween party in the episode secret. Also the superboy haircut is comic accurate from his look with the black shirt and jeans.

Steve Harvey Dent

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Young Justice Now that the show is over they left quite a few unresolved issues and more than one cliff hanger, I can’t believe my boy Brion got done so dirty. He’s had his life manipulated since he showed up last season and even now he ends up separated from all the connections he made last season being manipulated by the light with not even mention in the end. If we ever did get another season I was hoping he could finally get some help from his so called friends.

TrixieTurner

"I'd be afraid to sign anything, I mean look at her (Lilah)" Oh Rona you have no idea..

Carson Cardarella

With most of said voice actors being lovingly remembered for playing those roles in the DCAU (BTAS, STAS, JL/JLU, etc). And those shows don't hold continuity with any of these movies.

David Brown

Yessss, thank you for clarification! I probably annoyed the heck out of them cuz I mentioned it like 20 times 😆

Carson Cardarella

#Sundayrundown Young Justice. I still find Brainiac 5's noseless design weird after all this time, but it's cool you guys saw the best member of the Legion. Also it looks like season 4 was setting up several comic storyline. The Sanctuary thing is from Heroes in Crisis, a story that was hated because Editorial hijacked it to character assassinate Wally West. The Emerald Empress storyline looks like it was going to introduce this show's version of Christopher Kent/Nightwing, the original heroic version of Lor-Zod

Tupocalypse Shakur

That’s really not the same at all. Does the detective have anything to do with die hard? No. Whereas these movies literally take place before the Flashpoint. They even mostly have the same voice actors.

Matthew Cronin

It’s not that deep bro lol. They’re watching a film order because they are connected

Zee

There is a difference between page to screen adaptations. Based on your reasoning, one must watch The Detective before watching Die Hard. But I'm totally down for watching them watch the movies on your list. After they finish the DCAMU.

David Brown

🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure Baltar had this dream during 33. It's a mash-up of Friends and BSG (don't worry, there aren't spoilers): https://youtu.be/0ytxzD5uBBA?si=R7wOWGRyCFZzcIwU

Javi alias Killua alias Hiei

Y'all should really react to My Adventures With Superman at some point. There is in fact a talking gorilla.

Raleigh

It has as much relevance to them as the comics have to the new 52 comics. There’s already a fully formed Justice League in Flashpoint, this way it’s less jarring. Plus they would see adaptations of excellent comics.

Matthew Cronin

But it has no relevance to the DCAMU

Zee

I know y'all really enjoyed that S4 finale episode! Together the heroes finally took down those Zods, M'gann once again restored Conner's mind and Lor-Zod wss disentergrated into the ashes we saw at the very beginning whom we thought was Superboy at first, but he may soon be reborn. Also Rocket was saved by Metron of all people. Then that whole wedding was just excellent! However on Apokolips Darkseid now has Black Mary and SUPERGIRL!!! Well that's it for YJ until they ever decided to finally make the next season.

Brandon Gibbs

#sundayrundown what happened to the missing 1300 passengers. I think rana had it dead right they all got sucked out and you could argue this was the point of the cylons plan jump every 33 min so that Battlestar Galactica made a mistake and left a ship any ship behind . Also there is a movie you need to watch in the season 2 called Battlestar Galactica: Razor its recommended to watch it during season 2 after the episode The Captain's Hand this is episode 17 . Thank you for finally watching some syfy recommended show star gate sg1 and farscape

BradBoimler

#sunday rundown angel Congrats on another season of Angel! This is definitely not everyone's favorite season but I still enjoy a lot about it. I think they had some good storylines (the beast, angelus return, faith/willow, etc.) but then the Cordy/Connor story is usually what drags it down for people. This season unfortunately had a lot of writing/production issues that plagued it as well. The original plan for the season was for Cordy to be the "big bad". She was supposed to have returned from the higher plane, possibly changed by her time there, she would have confronted team Angel throughout the season culminating in Cordy vs Angel finale. When Charisma become pregnant early on, they rewrote a lot of that story. They decided to write the pregnancy into the story (despite the previous season having a similar story with Darla). Now instead of Cordy being the big bad, its whatever had possessed her. To justify the pregnancy, they wrote the Connor/Cordy story. Even halfway through filming the season, the writers didn't actually know what Cordy was going to give birth to. It could have a been a demon or something else before they finally settled on Gina Torres very late into the process. Anyways I'm a big fan of this finale for S4, I love how it sets up next season as a soft reboot for the series. Also, shoutout to Wesley and Angel this episode for trying to do the right thing for the ones they love. Lilah telling Wesley that him trying to save her meant something was very touching and a great end to their relationship. Angel steps up as a father and does something to give his son the life he always wanted him to have but could never give him. A good ending for Connor and its fitting for Angel's character. Although now he has to carry the memory of Connor alone since no one else remembers him. Great finale and can't wait to get into Season 5 now!

Anakin

I'm going to miss Young Justice hopefully season 5 will be here soon 😊💙💛

Catradora fan

They did indeed skip the intro and were thoroughly surprised during the episode.

Ren Davis

Yeah have already watch I think the three first episode of season 5. Hopefully they did not watch the credits of episode 1

Andreas Froby

Young Justice #SundayRundown (spoiler free for Rana) It is quite appropriate that you guys have finished the show this week, it was recently the show's 14th year anniversary, it all started on November 26, 2010. I still remember when I first discovered this show, I was around their age in season 1 and now I'm around their age in season 4, it's very rare to see a cartoon age with their audience like this and I miss that more than anything. It was able to come back from cancelation after 6 years, due to popular demand, only to find itself in limbo again. The wb/discovery merger really screwed things up, especially with the timing. There are still meetings, and Nolan North has stated that he always feels like it's a when and not an if over another season. What a journey it has been though, on this channel especially, and it was adorable to see Chris and Marketa hold each other's hand when the episode was nearing its end. Join us in the void Rana, join us! Gonna need those uncuts to get my young justice hit now.

iman

So I didn't really care for this season of YJ but I do like how they tied the ending into the earlier episode with mini zod being the one we saw on the wall

Daniel Gonzalez

#Sundayrundown (Young Justice) I really enjoyed watching this series with you and also hoping for a season 5. I know that some production studios are now using reaction videos as ersatz "test audiences" to gauge interest and response so here's hoping this helps to make season 5 happen. Anyway, the comic book nerd in me can't let this go so to answer some question the YJ couch had: Maalefaka was sent to planet Durla which in the future (31st century) is home to a race of shapeshifters (Chameleon Boy). The implication is that durlans are descended from martians via MFKA hence their shapeshifting ability. Emerald Empress landed on Daxam which in the 31st century is home to a race of people called Daxamites (basically Kryptonians minus the powers). Empress is Kryptonian and apparently the rest of the phantom zone Kryptonians were exiled there after whatever Darksied used them for. Daxam is that red sun planet and was considered off-limits to the rest of the universe because no one wanted Daxamites to have access to a yellow sun. The little lizard napping on Wolf was that one magic girl's familiar and the other dog in between Wolf and Gar's corgi was Batman's dog, Ace the Bathound. The guy officiating the wedding was Snapper Carr (that's why he's always snapping his fingers). He's a longtime DC character that just sort of hung out with the Justice League as a mascot and in the show, was a teacher at the high school Conner and Megan went. I could go on but I think I've exhausted my nerd battery. Peace out, take care and looking forward the DC animated movie run!

Rusty Shackleford

#Angel People probably mentioned it a thousand times before but SKIP NEXT WEEK'S OPENING. JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES

Chris K.

#sundayrundown End of an era :( Here's hoping we get more YJ eventually, there's so much more story to tell. Maybe adding some salt to the wound, but the "Sanctuary"/mental health retreat thing Black Canary mentions at the end of the episode references a storyline in the comics called "Heroes in Crisis", and largely features Wally/Kid Flash...maybe it's the copium but it probably would have brought him back into the story.

Charlie Maletich

The Angel crew will go CRAZYYYY over next season. So, so, so good.

Scott

#SundayRundown for Battlestar Galactica. The original Battlestar Galactica show was made in 1978, and it was not that good. Some people liked it, but the original was campy and weird in my opinion. 20th Century Fox actually sued Universal Studios because they thought the 1978 Battlestar was a Star Wars Ripoff, the dispute was settled out of court. I like how the Reboot goes for realistic and serious. This is one of the few cases where the reboot is better than the original. About "33", even if everyone in this episode slept in shifts, I get the impression that the FTL "jumps" are a little unpleasant. In the miniseries Cally the repair crew girl goes "I hate this part" before a jump, so I'm guessing that an FTL jump would wake everyone up. So yeah, the 33 minutes thing would have been awful even if you're off duty I think.

Frankie H

#YoungJustice A season 5 Under Red Hood Arc would be killer and was clearly being set up to an extent. Also don't know if you guys noticed at the time but Connor's hallucination of Wally in the Zone looked like an actual Phantom Zoner while all the other people he saw were normal looking. And Wally's 'ghost' actually helped Connor... let's manifest a season 5 with the return of Fastest Flash alive (ish).

Mzuka

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! 🥧🌽🍽️🍗🍞🍂🦃🥔🥕

Lost me when you suggested titans. Worst show ever made

#SundayRundown (Young Justice) End Of An Era ❤️‍🩹. Idk if Greg Wisemen knew they’d be going on a hiatus or knew a season 5 wouldn’t be immediately picked up but I felt, similar to how they ended S2 before the break, he did the best he could to give a conclusion while also leaving big things on the board for a return. WB must hate Darkseid because this is the 2nd time they put the show on hold after a mindfuck cliffhanger with him lmao. In some stories Supergirl was sent or accidentally wound up in the Zone after Krypton was destroyed. It makes sense since she’s technically older than Superman, she’s just physically younger. S5 Theories: I think the Brion & his team Infinity, Inc. were realizing they were being manipulated and eventually will align with our guys against The Light & Savage. I think they teased the ‘Red Hooded Ninja’ getting his memory back slowly enough that we might have gotten a Jason Todd/Red Hood storyline. And I think the Darkseid/Savage v Hero war would’ve popped off in S5 into a final S6 I’ve said it before but I appreciate you guys for being on this journey & enjoying some DC content. I’ve watched you since the Talkin Thrones days and YJ is up there with me with for my favorite animated reactions from you guys along with Naruto, Arcane, HxH & ATLA. To me, y’all, along with YaBoyRoshi had the best reactions to this show and can’t wait to see more DC content with the DCAMU or CC. Happy holidays guys ❤️.

Zee

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN for Angel. This is a great finale imo. A lot of people had a lot of issues with season 4, mostly relating to Connor and Cordy, but I think this finale satisfies both the season 4 haters and lovers. If you like Connor, he's gotten his best ending... if you hate Connor, he's fuckin gone. Plus, Wolfram and Hart as the new base? Basically a full reset for the series... and this just opens up so many doors.

Bisibia

#Angel. The actress that played Gunn's tour guide is Merle Dandridge. You may recognize her as Marlene on The Last of Us. She played her on the show and was the voice in the game.

DeAnne

Love this show so much sad its over :( but can't wait for you guys to dive into the DCAMU and would love to see em check out the Justice League show and Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond and Static shock one day

Narutoanime16

I really like how this angel final sets up next season, there's a really strong theme of how seductive evil can be and how do you fight it and what are the consequences. It's takes us into a strong final season with many amazing episodes. Also just gotta say how good David was in that last confrontation with Connor, he conveys so much emotion with just a look and it's also very satisfying to finally hear Connor acknowledged holtz as a bad guy who messed him up and stole him away from his real father that loved him, with the "you let him get me" and "not enough to hold on" lines. I'm glad his storyline was wrapped up and he has a good life and angel can be at peace knowing his son is finally happy.

ray s

#SundayRundown #YoungJustice You know a part of me will always be happy if young justice ever returns, but another part is completely fine with things ending here, obviously not everything was perfect with young justice, still it was a great show with great characters and to have it begin with Conner escaping captivity, to now him being married and happy. In my opinion, that's how most superhero shows should end, not with defeating evil once and for all since there will always be heros vs villains in comics, but with a nice moment in time where they don't have to worry about the next world ending event... Goodbye Young Justice.

Jackie Gibson

All of the movies on my list are based on actual comic books which take place before the flashpoint comics and the new 52 which all the other movies are based on.

Matthew Cronin

As good as those shows are, they’re random. Watching CC makes sense since it’s apart of the new DCU & they’ve seen Suicide Squad & Peacemaker BW stopped watching because they harped too much on the original crew

Zee

They’re watching the DCAMU because they felt (and people told them) it’s more closer to the YJ vibe. They’ll react to others later.

Zee

Vincent Kartheiser (Conner) gave an amazing performance at the end here, his line delivery "you let him take me" just kills, I know you guys hate conner and I understand but the entire conclusion to the Conner arc was amazing, Angel is doing the only thing he has left to do as a father, Conner is so so broken their is no fixing it. Lots of other stuff about the ep, but for this it was perfect and the only ending for the Conner arc imo.

Macs

The point of their list is that they are following the continuity of the DCAMU. Not the wider DCUAOM. Which, aside from Superman/Batman, are each standalones with no shared continuity.

David Brown

Also! The follow up to this season is a comic called Young Justice Targets! It’s great to see all the characters again after this season ended.

Gino De Lucca

Happy Thanksgiving!

Chaos T

Loved all your reactions to young Justice! You guys should really jump into the Justice League Animated series and then into Justice League Unlimited. Truly the next best thing DC has besides Young Justice.

Gino De Lucca

great list also would add Justice League vs. the Fatal Five it has jessica cruz green lantern and Megan

BradBoimler

Happy Thanksgiving! I get to watch Battlestar Galactica before I go to war in the kitchen! Cheers to everyone who celebrates!

Daniel R

#sundayrundown please don't watch creature commandos watch stargirl watch the batman cartoon from 2005 watch the green lantern show watch batman beyond just not creature commandos watch Gotham watch Titians live action also the star girl show is like young justice live action. Also congratulations on finishing the show blindwave never finished or started season 4 it was too woke for them.

BradBoimler
