Agreed that 1 was better than 2, but I'm not sure it needed more seasons. I did think a couple times things seemed rushed and needed to be flushed out more but I don't think they needed more than another set of 3 episodes (at most to) accomplish that. Right there with you that my biggest critisizm is Heimerdinger but I also look at it as every story like this needs something to go wrong to put things in motion, and in Arcane's case that's really him. If anything my problem is that his character is too wise, compassionate, and experienced to have not noticed and/or let that happen. Take away anyone of those aspects and he fits, hell It'd actually be fine if he were just an asshole XD

#Sunday Rundown League of legends has some of the best cinematics for their games, some made by Fortiche too, that made Arcane. But to keep it simple and connected, i highly recommend watching "Get Jinxed", Jinx's champion launch trailer from 2016 & "Blood Sweat and Tears", Ambessa's champion trailer.

#SundayRundown Season 1 was better. Arcane had something going for them with the classicism plot and Jinx being mentally unstable. Season 2 threw all that away by relying on the aliens invade trope so we’re forced to work together. The undercity didn’t have a real choice to fight. It was either fight with uppercity or get taken over by Victor. I wish the series would’ve went with a more organic route to build unity between upper and lower cities. Also Isha being introduced just to be martyred was annoying. She wasn’t a real character and she literally wasn’t given a voice. And Jinx being suicidal in one scene to saving Vi in another was too drastic. I would’ve loved to hear what Ekko told her to change her mind. Overall there was just too much going on in Season 2 with the Black Rose, Jayce and Viktor, Cait and Vi, Jinx and Ekko. I wish they either focused on just 1 conflict or have more seasons to lay everything out. All in all I enjoyed Arcane. But I’d rather rewatch Season 1…. Also one last thought. I’m annoyed that Heimingdinger got to die a martyr and was never rly criticized for letting the undercity rot for how long. He was the worst character in Arcane in my opinion

#SundayRundown Just wanting to start things off by saying thank you Rana and Suraj for reacting and watching the translation of Isha's Song in the previous Sunday Rundown! (Hope you enjoyed and that it broke everyone's hearts as it did mine :p) This entire run of Arcane has been PHENOMENAL from start to the finish in terms of not just art but storywriting as well...One thing I noticed about Arcane was how much this Season's focus was upon breaking free from a cycle in order to move on, whether it's the cycle of grief ( for Caitlyn), the cycle of destroying things that she loves ( for Jinx) or the cycle of how Piltover and Zaun have each been caught in their endless amounts of mutual disdain, dislike and prejudice keeping them incapable of banding together as one. Hints of it have been peppered throughout the show, and each of our characters reached the end of their arcs BEAUTIFULLY by the end of episode 9, with some arcs more subtle than others. IDK if you noticed, but Jinx's idea of "breaking the cycle" wasn't just for her alone, but for Vi as well. Unlike Jinx who had the talk with Silco and the realization that the reason why they were stuck like this was because of the repeated need for Vi to "save/ fight for those she loves", and Jinx's need to "prove herself", Vi never had the same epiphany that Jinx did. It's hinted in Episode 7, when alternate Powder tells Ekko that the "reason why Vi fights so hard is because she's afraid of losing us", and it's that fear that stops Vi from breaking free : To her, Jinx will always be her baby sister that needs rescuing, to her, regardless of what Jinx or Vander has become, they NEED to be saved, so that they can return back to that family unit that they were once again (even if its fractured and can't be the same as before), and because she will always chase after that, she will chase after Jinx, she WILL stop when she can save herself or move on to look back over her shoulder at an incapacitated Warwick/ Vander and because of that, she cannot move on. Jinx's sacrifice frees not just herself from needing to prove herself, but also her sister -- with both Vander and Jinx gone, we finally see Vi, as grief stricken as she is, finally able to healthily move on with Caitlyn & their relationship growing. With their deaths, the cycle is broken not just for Jinx, but for Vi as well to do what alternate powder and Ekko have said in that convo they had : "ever wish you could stay in one moment?" "sometimes, taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". It's implicitly implied further too in Episode 7 at the ending snippet where we see alternate Powder leave the necklace and the pouch of hexstone crystals in Vi's drawer. Because Powder didn't live up to her full potential (she didn't feel the need to prove herself whether to Vi or anyone else, she was content to be in a bar [Vander telling her : "I think you're too smart to spend your life in a bar." ]), she never explored the potential of the hex crystals, and we never had the evolution from Powder to a chaotic and unstable Jinx, and hextech was never created in that beautiful world of theirs. Her putting the necklace together with the crystals in Vi's drawer really hinted HEAVILY towards the breaking of the cycle that she would do much later on...and that's her choosing to sacrifice herself instead of proving herself :") / taking the blimp and leaving her sister and zaun behind and starting a new life for herself (if we're going to cling onto the hope that she zipped her way out of there with her shimmer and is still alive XD) Ps: Sorry for the long comment!! If you guys do end up reading this...my apologies to whoever ended up reading this aloud XD Please go get some water XD

#SundayRundown I've been a huge fan of this series since the first trailer dropped, and I'm so glad you guys got to watch it alongside us. To me, this series raises the bar not only in terms of animation, but also storytelling. From the music to the character's, to the experimental animation, it was one hell of a ride that I'll admit I'm sad to see go... That said tho, I'd be remiss to not mention that the Arcane creators have been working on a new series believed to be set in Noxus. They've been working on the series for about a year now, and it's supposedly going to have the same writers, directors, and animators. With luck, maybe a year or two from now we can catch up with the world of Runeterra and start a new story (And perhaps catch up with a couple of old friends).

Something you guys might consider for more Arcane content is reacting to all of the official music videos (If you haven't seen any yet) from S1 and 2 (in particular I'm sure you'll like Blood Sweat and Tears). Love your thoughts on Ekko (who I think is my favorite character). Something that occured to me during episode 7 is other than Jayce and Hector obviously it's not stretch to say this is largely Ekko's fault. They made a point to show how the under city changes if Vi died, but I wonder what it looks like if Ekko doesn't give them that tip. Glad you guys liked Arcane, and I'm right there with you listening to all of the "SO OBVIOUS" ways they hint at Jinx being alive XD.
