It was so cool of Mel to not shield Cait but Maddie, so the bullet would ricochet back to her. What a phenomenal finale

2024-11-27 22:15:52 +0000 UTCThats a fair shout. I had just assumed that anyone who was in the game was gonna survive. And in a way, she did sorta sacrifice her life by leaving? It kinda goes back to what Ekko was saying about how sometimes moving forward means leaving some things begind.

2024-11-27 16:54:13 +0000 UTCYeah, it was wild how fast reddit was posting every clue and bit that points to it. I am glad because I dig the character but it does take some of the juice out of her final sacrifice.

2024-11-27 13:33:36 +0000 UTCLet's put some respect on the names of the various unnamed homies. - Peanut Papi, aka Zander, actual name Loris. RIP to a real one. - Fish boy actual name Steb; I was sure he was gonna die but glad he lived. If they do another show in Piltover/Zaun at some point I would lvoe to see him as like a second in commander to Vi or Cait. - Piano Man who punched way above his weight, no name but deserves one. -Maddie who can die in a damn fire forever, duplicitous asshat. I rewatched her death like I had Ekko's z-drive. -Kirkland Zangief actual name Rictus was a badass but I feel like he had a good arc for background character. As far as main character outcomes, deaths or MIAs: - Ambessa is gone gone. She was so badass that even as a bad guy I was rooting for her. Her methods sucked but I could almost sympathize with her intent. I just wish she listened to Mel. - Heimerdinger didn't end up as a pile of ash so he probably just got winked into another reality. Heimer is one of the shows creators favorite champion so I really doubt he's gone forever. I want more of his Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie folk singer arc. - Vik and Jayce in Arcane limbo until Riot finds a way to bring them back but pretty much dead. Both dope characters in season 2. The VO for Viktor was Harry Lloyd who played Viserys in the OG GoT. His vocal performance was one of the best in the whole show. - Warwick/Vander; the Vander part was annihilated in S2E8 as part of Vik's final glorious evolution but the Warwick could be brought back by SInged or something. In the game he is like a monster that prowls the undercity I think, almost like a scary folktale. -Mel; from what see her outro she is on her family's fleet heading back to Noxus to hunt down the rest of the Black Rose. All she did was banish them from that little pocket dimension. The leader of that faction is stupid powerful and ostensibly part of the ruling council of Noxus. Even as powerful as Mel is now, I very much doubt she could go toe to toe with them without support. - Singed basically got everything he wanted but is now probably the most hated and wanted man in all of Piltover/Zaun, if not all of Runeterra. I love the little glimpse we got of his daughter's new form; it looked like he adapted parts of the hextech that was transforming Viktor's followers to craft a body for her. I have a feeling his punishment is going to be that she sees the monster he has become and rejects him. In league lore he is prominent so I think we will see him again, maybe in the next show if they end up following Mel to Noxus. -Vi and Cait are one of the few who get a happy-ending. They are going to have to do all that work of rebuilding. I am just happy they ended up having each other in the end. They both deserve a win. -Sevika is also another secondary character with an awesome arc. She learned from all of Vander;s and Silco's mistakes, I feel like she will be a good foil to all of the uppity nobles on the council. For Jinx there are a million clues and easter eggs that point to her survival. Plus the more obvious stuff at the end where Cait is holding a piece of Jinx's bomb that was recovered from the wreckage of the Hexgate shaft and it seems like she is looking at the schematics of vent tunnels, so Jinx may have escaped though there. And at the very end the ship we see flying off towards the horizon is the same one from S1E1 that young Powder said she would fly one day, and the end title card was one of her style little flashes. So, I think she is taking that last insight from Silco in the healthier direction than her initial impulse of the self-annihilation. Too popular and frankly too awesome to be gone, gone; but I doubt we see her even in the next show. For Ekko, I am thinking that him breaking past that 4 second mark is going to have a consequence for him in a later show. In League he is called the 'Boy Who Shattered Time' so I feel like something about that is going to haunt him in the future. Or he could just be fine; that is my hope. He deserves it. Arcane hates our happiness though. The next show is already in development/pre-production so maybe we'll see it in the next 2-4 years if we're lucky. That being said I am very happy with what we got. I wish there were a few more episodes to flesh out some parts they had to compress for time, but if you pay attention, they paid off most of the story arcs from season 1 in this final season. Was hella fun watching with the Normie's, I wish we could've had Chris and Marketa there but happy for them on the new addition to their family.

2024-11-27 13:32:06 +0000 UTCYeah, she was definitely played as 100% sincere but once you get the reveal, it makes sense, even if a bit contrived. Ambessa planted her from the getgo to watch Cait and also to test her resolve. I am just glad they didn't do the jilted lover trope. Something I didn't see until this watch was that she was definitely the one who sabotaged their bomb. She was the one carrying it until it was handed over to the cannon fodder homie to run it in. I like the instant-karma for her. "I did appreciate your warmth." well I did appreciate seeing her brains get scattered around that golden orb that Mel erected around her duplicitous ass.

2024-11-27 12:42:12 +0000 UTCI feel you there and that's an entirely valid point. I guess I just wish they'd done a little more with it? I mean in hindsight, the bomb she was holding had the nail in it to stop it. It seemed a little rushed. I'm not salty about it or anything, I just think it could have been done a little better. Sorta like they sacrificed some of the substance for the sake of the big rug pull reveal. But that's just how I see it and I'm of course no expert.

2024-11-27 02:18:05 +0000 UTCyep, to add on to this Caitlyn has a really good ability to recreate scenes accurately from evidence just like the time she did when Jinx first attack the airships, and the warwick prison incident, the fact that she isn't 100% sold on jinx death after seeing and collecting fragments from the site most likely means Jinx did not die

2024-11-27 02:17:11 +0000 UTCI think the seed was planted when Maddy was one of the first one to join the the salute with the noxian at Caitlyn's appointment of general commander, so she was sort of already joining them in a way, then when Vi returned I think she kind of always knew who Caitlyn was going for so that just solidify her option even more, only thing off is how she was the one sort of convincing Cait to not follow in Ambessa guidance from epsiode 4-6 so I'm not sure on that part

2024-11-27 02:15:02 +0000 UTCAlso does anyone else feel like the whole Maddie being a traitor thing was super contrived? It felt like they had to find a way for cait and vi to get back together without cait coming off like more of a tool than she already is so they just decided to make her side piece try to kill her.

2024-11-27 02:01:30 +0000 UTCPlease do a series review of Arcane Season 2 and theories of what happened to Jayce and Viktor. If you rewind slowly it seems like Jayce and Viktor fuse into one being, and then he disappears which I assume is a parallel world or future timeline.

2024-11-26 20:22:32 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown This show was beautiful, while I understand people’s feelings about wanting more, Arcane was always the story about 2 sisters and the messy web of life they became entangled in and they told that story well. I’m excited for the next show Riot makes, Piltover & Zaun is one region of Runeterra(LoL World) & of the 169 champions in LoL, only 22 of them come from this Region and only 10 out of those 22 were technically involved in the story(Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor, Singed, Heimerdinger, Warwick, Ekko and Orianna(Singed’s Daughter). Apparently the creators have said they’re working on 3 sequels taking place in 3 other regions, one being Noxis where Ambessa(who was the newest LoL Champion released on Nov. 6), Mel(not a champion yet but maybe in the future) and the Black Rose are from.

2024-11-26 20:12:35 +0000 UTCGuys Jinx isn't dead. She 100% survived. All the clues are spelled out pretty clearly in the show. EDIT: I looked back on this and it could totally have come off as salty. Definitely not the intended tone 😅

2024-11-26 18:01:00 +0000 UTCFYI not sure if its mentioned but its heavily implied that Jinx survived. Caitlyn was looking at the tower and vent systems near the end, implying she suspects Jinx made it. There was also a brief frame that showed Jinx used her purple dash as she was falling. And the flying ship at the end was the same ship Powder saw in season 1 and said she'll ride on it one day. Not to mention the whole jinxification of the end frame. TL;dr Jinx is most likely alive and as Silco said, is breaking the cycle of violence by leaving. #SundayRundown #Arcane
