So i don't think anyone has mentioned this yet but they're 2 OVAs for this series that i think you guys should watch. The OVAs came out in 2018 as apart of the Yu Yu Hakusho 25 year Anniversary Blu Ray and they are both pulled from the manga. The First is called "Two Shot" which is an Extra chapter from the manga that actually falls in between ep 34 and 35 of the anime and the 2nd OVA is called "All or Nothing" which is actually an adaptation of the Manga ending which serves as an Alternate Ending to the Anime and is best watched after finishing the final ep.

Inuyasha has an opening!?!

Iirc the first time a Japanese opening was used on Toonami was when Naruto switched from the localized opening "Rise, Power" to Haruka Kanata. But Adult Swim pretty much always used them with the exception of Inuyasha where they always just skipped the opening altogether.

*Repost from last week*
Hey Normies, I know some fans have suggested skipping the opening for TYBW, but it's important to consider that many of them have already watched the entire season or are manga readers who can easily spot potential spoilers. As someone who only watches the anime, I had no idea there were spoilers in the first opening until a rando fan pointed them out to me.
What I'm trying to say is that while those fans have good intentions when they recommend skipping the intros, their perspective is a bit misguided. Their prior knowledge of the show makes them more aware of spoilers, and by making these suggestions they end up making the anime experience worse for first time viewers.
If you're concerned about spoilers, one possible solution might be for one Normie to check if the intro is safe for the others.

Just because Navi brought it up. In the early days of localizing anime for US TV it was pretty much standard practice to dub or outright change OP/ED songs. Pretty much happened to everything up to the earliest Toonami days (Dragon Ball/Z, Yu Yu, Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Tenchi Muyo, Samurai Pizza Cats, Kenshin, Inu Yasha etc.) Not sure when the acceptance of the original Japanese took hold but I'd place probably around 2010ish.

BLEACH SUNDAY RUNDOWN
When Ichigo slashed Ginjo’s arm that was censored. In the manga that “slash” was his arm getting sliced off, I’ll add an image in discord if you’re interested

Kubo’s writing is filled with subtleties, same case with his art. Anime did a great job showcasing Ichigo’s eyes full of despair and rage. Ginjo’s line of Ichigo’s father does have meaning when you delve into the lore of TYBW and the novels
People don't understand how broken Tsukishima ability is, he doesn't simply change a persons memory, he actually alters their past. This is seemingly done on purpose, Aizen was the 1st Major Antagonist and his goal was to change the status-quo, otherwise the “Present”, Tsukishima was the primary Antagonist for most of this arc and he changes the “Past”, and you'll see what the next Antagonist does...
Yes, BLEACH: Memories of Nobody is now canon due to the recent episode of TYBW. Beautiful movie, hopefully you guys have time to react to it.

#SundayRundown Bleach
This is the angriest that we’ve ever seen Ichigo. He’s so furious at Tsukishima for putting both his family and friends against him, that he even considers killing him (which are not thoughts a normal 17 year old should have lol).
If you stop to think about it for a second, you realize that Ichigo has never killed anyone in the show thus far, he is not a killer, he doesn’t fight to kill, he fights to win and to protect his loved ones. This anger is reflected in their fight. (In the manga) Ichigo cuts Tsukishima’s arm clean off, which is censored in the anime for obvious reasons lol.
Good news though, i believe this is the last instance of extreme censorship in the show, woohoo!
Btw unrelated to bleach, i loved both Rana’s and Navi’s outfits!! ((Is Navi single? Asking for a friend hehe))

Pretty sure, they mentioned a "Shinenju" in the mid-episode cards of the last episode and show a ribbon. If that's not canonizing Senna, then nothing is.

#SundayRundown Bleach
The reveal with Ginjo is the highlight of the arc, and if you were paying attention there were a lot of subtle clues in the arc. First is with Ginjo's introduction and him randomly having a Soul reaper badge; then when Ishida is attacked you can see him turning to other side, implying he was slashed from the opposite side were Tsukishima was; next is Ginjo's super sus design, the guy just looks evil; and after Ginjo is cut he calls Ichigo "Kurusaki" instead of his name, implying a less closer relationship.
All of this combined with Tsukishima's gasslighting is what makes me love this arc and makes this duo one the most evil in Bleach, screwing his live for no reason.
Also as someone mentioned before, recent events in TYBW have almost certainly cannonised the first Bleach movie: Memories of nobody; I'll recomend watching it before so you can understand certain concepts better, and it takes place after Grimmjow's firts attack but before Orihime's kidnaping.

Both endings 1 and 5 are probably my favorite for the nostalgic feeling they give me.
But you’re right, 3 goes hard and really sets the tone. Makes me feel tough when I watch it lol

#Sunday Rundown - Bleach
Oh yeah we're finally here! Ginjo was the bad guy all along! It hits double hard since, to Ichigo, everyone else had been turned leaving only Ginjo to rely on. I wouldn't have minded the "buddy cop" duo of Ichigo and Ginjo going on a bit longer, but the twist is so good that i'm ok with it lol. Ishida shouting at Ichigo was so good. They even have Ginjo appear in a shot with Ichigo and all his friends during the OP. So even the anime itself plays up to the twist lol. I'm assuming that this is also (part of) what was edited out of the 20th Anniversary video you watched. The depression that Ichigo suffers here is probably his greatest (or close to it), bro got led on HARD. This also follows a theme with Ichigo that you may or may not have noticed - his life is always seemingly "planned" by others and he's often used by others for their own purposes. A big part of Bleach is fighting against fate and Ichigo is constantly fighting against his fate of seemingly being used by others constantly.
Also - maybe a bit early for this but i might as well tell you to plant the nugget in your head, so to speak - the most recent TYBW episode hard confirmed that Bleach movie 1 is actually 100% canon. Obviously the chances of you watching that before you get caught up on TYBW are slim to none, and it's not super necessary to watch it before you reach that point, but i figured you should know this for when you do eventually watch it (if you ever do) and/or for when you watch the latest TYBW ep (i'm sure many people will point out for you which episode it is when you get to it).

Yesss finally ,
People always talks about how crazy aizen twist was , but i really have this as the most unexpected twist i’ve ever seen in bleach , ginjo tricked us this whole arc and even the idea of letting tsukushima stab him 2 times is clever .
Please enjoy the last 6 episodes , and don’t forget to watch Bleach: Hell verse movie , its literally a cinematic experience i promise you 🙏

#SundayRundown for Yu Yu Hakusho.
Just a heads up. I know you said you’ll be watching the ED in your next batch of episodes. Like Hunter x Hunter, the OP stays the same, but the endings change throughout the series. I’d recommend watching them after the previews. The 90s music goes hard and I listen to them all the time.

Bleach #SundayRundown
It finally happened, Ginjo was playing Ichigo(and us by extension) this whole time and it makes complete sense. As much as I want to rant about the miscommunication, it was needed, otherwise we wouldn't have the story we do now. Think I mentioned it before, but the fullbring arc is when I first started to read the manga and Ginjo looked so menacing early on in the arc, just to turn out to be chill. Like, he completely dropped his supposed investigation of Isshin, and it was clearly done to sow doubt. This was something that was theorized, I thought of it myself when I didn't understand why Ginjo still carried around a substitute badge while claiming that Tsukishima killed one, along with every fullbringer aside from the ones we know. It just doesn't add up as an explanation. Unless, these memories were implanted.
If Tsukishima could make himself an ally to Ichigo's friends, he could also make himself a villain to others. They manipulated the situation from the very start, even Uryu's wounds were not consistent with the damage we've seen Tsukishima dealt. And speaking of damage, this episode did indeed pad some stuff out. When Ichigo activates his fullbring, he immediately takes Tsukishima's arm completely off, that is when Chad and Orihime step in, with the latter healing his wound. You guys had already teased that you got here last week, so I need no guesses where you're at now. Just want to let you know that the opening has been updated, so be sure to check that out on the next watch. Almost forgot to mention that the heavy rock soundtrack that Rana was vibing to is called Sakkaku, it originally debuted in the Hellverse movie. it's one of my favourite themes in Bleach. Finally, I love that NONE of you were prepared for this, 3 of you were losing your minds while Pat is just sat there smiling and going "damn!" LMAO

Honestly, the big twist with Kūgo is in my mind easily on part with the Aizen reveal if not more due to how much of an impact it has on Ichigo

So since it was discussed abit after the episode. Yu Yu was one of the first dubs (history is messy but I've seen claims of first or second) done by funimation studios which was Funimations in house dubbing crew. While funimation as a licenser did have other anime before including dragonball z or cowboy they were dubbed by other studios for them these outsourced studios is why their is the first Ocean Dub of early dragonballZ (funimation went back in 2003 or 2005 and redubbed it later). Or how Cowboy Bebop in 1999 was a Funimation licensed anime but dubbed by another company. The funimation dubbed dbz wasn't till years into its run. So arguably Yu Yu is the first or second full funimation studios dub using all their actors and crew. (Hence the crossover with the DBZ dub VAs)
