However the ending you can watch and episode 1 and 6 have a special ending that it would be great to see you watch either straight after the episode or on their own. Super exciting to see you guys almost at the end of the original run and can’t wait to see your guys reaction to the end and then the start of TYBW!

Now that you've seen Ling be turned into a homunculus, I wanted to highlight a cool story parallels between him and Bradley, the other human-based homunculus. When Bradley told Roy about how he became Wrath, he mentioned being the "twelfth candidate" out of a larger group of men that had been raised to become potential rulers. Ling, in turn, is the "twelfth prince" of Xing, out of a much larger group of people who have been raised from birth to fight for the line of succession. Both have been raised with the belief that they should rule, and both have learned to fight for their lives from birth. But they have very different ideas of what ruling means, and how they value other people. For Bradley the people do not matter: someone like a wounded Lan Fan is just "excess baggage". Ling meanwhile states that "A king is no king without his people", and refuses to leave Lan Fan behind. The way they react to all the other souls within the stone reflects this difference too. Bradley experienced a fight for dominance and survival, and was left with only a single soul, "the most wrathful" one, and that's why he ages like a regular person. Ling, in contrast, opened his arms to Greed and all the souls within the stone, citing his desire to protect others and to honor Lan Fan sacrificing her arm as the biggest reasons driving him. Really interesting parallels and contrasts with these two characters!

2024-11-07 16:26:23 +0000 UTCI'm late to this one, but HELL'S YEAH! "BLEACH" AND "Yu Yu Hakusho"?! I get to re-experience 2 of my faves at the same time with y'all?! This is gonna' be good. When I first watched "BLEACH" in college, I noticed a lot of parallels to YYH; which I watched back in high school. It's one of those shows in which you're gonna' notice a lot of stuff that would appear in other works years and decades later. (You're already noticing that, of course.) I didn't think much of Kuwabara when he first gets introduced getting his ass kicked. However, him showing up at the wake was one of the most unexpectedly emotional moments I had ever seen at that point. Made me instantly love the dude. The beginning of this series packs some serious heartstring tugging into only a few episodes.

Wow this is gonna be a journey and I’m so happy I get to be here for it, I’m sure you guys are gonna love it it’s even better than hunter x hunter.

2024-11-07 04:52:08 +0000 UTC#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Bleach I just realized this episode and this arc is basically just the Mr. Poopybutthole episode of Rick and Morty, this random wacky character coming out of nowhere psychically implanting himself into everyone’s memories making them think he’s been here the entire time. Wow now I can’t take this arc seriously I just keep picturing it through the lenses of a sitcom trying to gaslight you, but I will say that actually makes me like it more. Now those scenes that are supposed to be haunting and showing how freaked out ichigo is I can’t help but laugh at just imagining the show adding a laugh track to emphasize these new characters. Also free the tiddy, ignore the haters in the comments of tite kubo loves the yabbos he obviously wants you to comment whenever he makes the knockers even more apparent!

That's why my name is botanbutton (pretty sure I'm the only user on the internet with this username)! Obviously, YYH is one of the most influential anime of my life and it's why I can't help but be obsessed with Togashi's writing. I can't wait for y'all to meet the rest of the cast. And while I wouldn't be a butt and say switch to sub, I'd say give it watch on your own time; I was surprised by it tbh.

This show basically laid the foundation for a lot of shonen series, so it'll be interesting to see if you pick up on certain tropes. Can't wait for the next one!

He’s the whole reason we got to this point, everybody knows uncle Tsukishima I mean he saved all of us, so please give him a shoutout in the next reaction Anyways, What I love about this arc is the character introspection. Tsukishima really delving into the psyche of our main cast especially Ichigo. Tsukishima is a great antagonist in that he directly acts to go against the very things Ichigo's holds dearest. Ichigo's purpose has always been to protect the people around him since it’s his coping meachism for his mothers death, so what happens when you have an enemy who can turn those you love against you, how can Ichigo point his blade at an enemy who will be protected by Ichigo's friends? This is also a very good arc for Ichigo’s character especially building up to TYBW. Also heard you guys seen the 20th anniversary Trailer interested to hear your thoughts on that. Can’t wait for TYBW next month we only have 8 episodes left not sure what episode you guys are currently on, but I’m itching for the first reaction. I know you guys will love it

So if you wanna hear the ED and don't wanna be spoiled too bad, watch it early. Also be wary of episode titles as they are also spoilery af.

Bleach got approved by Shonen Jump with one chapter even though serialized meetings as suppose to submit up to 3 chapters, it never got rejected at all and nobody wrote Kubo a letter neither Togashi or Toriyama that’s all made up.

I'm gonna have to Yada Yada a lot of complex concepts, so bear with me. Okay so Gnosticism is an offshoot of Judaism and early Christianity. Gnosis is the Greek word for knowledge, but usually implies a kind of deep spiritual knowledge resulting from direct contact with the divine. They dealt less in sin and repentence and more in illusion and reality. They were considered heretics by orthodox members of Judaism and Christianity, probably because they were like, "Hey maybe god is at best deeply flawed and at worst actively malevolent." See gnostics believed in the god of the material world, the demiurge(word comes from Public or Skilled builder)who is the false god. They also believe in the Monad(The One) who is the true, spiritual god. Gnostics see materialism as the real evil and the search for divine knowledge as good. I'm skipping over Sophia(Wisdom) entirely which is insane because she's vastly important but we don't have time for it. Sophia was an emanation of The Monad and she created the demiurge. The problem was she created it outside of The Pleroma. Um...for the sake of this just think of the Pleroma as heaven. So the monad created a bunch of higher beings and lesser divinities(Aeons) in the pleroma and the demiurge is stuck outside. So what does it do? Creates it's own lesser divinities(archons). SEVEN Archons, to be exact. Seven false divinities of materialism. One could say, seven sins. So what did the demiurge do? Went about creating the universe and the world, using the divinity it took from Sophia and embuing it into humans. This was done to either emulate or mock the monad, putting more importance on the material than on gnosis. It is the goal of gnostics to, through gaining gnosis, make their way spiritually backwards from the demiurge, all the way through the Aeons, and back to the monad. So what I'm saying, guys, is The Truth is The Monad, Father is The Demiurge, The Hominculi are The Archons which would make Hoenheim Sophia but we'll talk more about that later. Theres....so so much more but this is already so long and I think I said enough to get my point across. The similarities are not accidental haha.

This is a very serious arc with Ichigo losing his memory about his cousin Tsukishima for some reason and y'all are acting as crazy as Ichigo. I guess I'll just give you some fun Tsukishima trivia to jog your memory. The book that he's been reading since all the way back in the first arc is "The Return of Aion" by George Kirian, a book that Tite Kubo invented and isn't real. His fight against Hitsugaya in the Soul Society was voted the fifth best fight in the second best fight poll, and his battle against Szayelaporro in Hueco Mundo was voted tenth best fight in the next poll. Oh! I know you don't really watch the movies since they're non canon but the second Bleach movie, Tsukishima's Requiem, is great because it fills in the gap from when we last see Tsukishima leave Karakura Town in flashbacks to when he returns home back in the tenth episode. Tite Kubo was heavily involved in the movie and so it's treated as at least pseudo canon.

This is also why miscommunication was crucial for the twist to work, so that Ichigo has no one else to relly on except for Ginjo. On a separate note I would not tolerate the slander of my good friend Tsukishima, he help me in my worst days and is a very respectable person.(This kind of joke's flood the comment section everytime someone reaches this point of the arc, a classic Bleach meme)

In Japanese, Ginjo asks Ichigo (after Ichigo completes his 14th set of pushups) to do another set to "match his name" (Ichi-go meaning 1 and 5 respectively, so 15 together). To this Ichigo responds by saying "there it is, I hate those kinds of puns". Ginjo retorts by saying that he knows Ichigo owns a shirt with "15" on it, so he shouldn't lie (implying that Ichigo secretly enjoys puns with his name). Ichigo then gets creeped out by Ginjo's "stalker network" and asks him how many more details of his personal life Ginjo knows about. Also that Orihime and Chad fight with Tsukihima is anime-only. As well as most of Uryu's and Riruka's investigations. In the manga Orihime, Chad, Uryu and Riruka really don't do too much in this section of the story so I guess the anime used them to pad out some time. I just wish we had less "Is there something wrong? No, it's nothing" types of conversations going on as filler lol.

This is going to be a fun ride, I remember in Hunter X Hunter you guys wished Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leolio had more time together. You're going to get your wish. They aren't exactly the same, but you're going to see similarities.

The narrator is Kent Williams who is also Mr. Compress in My Hero Academia. I used to be obsessed with Dragon Ball Z and YuYu Hakusho when I was a kid. To me they were the anime all the other anime revolved around 😂 Naruto and Bleach were seen as the next generation Dragon Ball Z and YuYu Hakusho for me. I can’t wait to revisit it all with the Normies 😎

Do I think it's the best anime ever? No. But even though there are some anime out there higher quality, better written, and better animated, this one is still my favorite. Probably always will be.
