The assumption is that Ai's baby daddy is her killer and it's officially announced that he killed himself the same day. My understanding of Aqua's intention up to now was to find the person in the industry who could have given the killer her location. So finding Himekawa as a half sibling wasn't intentional, and he was just looking for information on the father's life, position, connections and such. That being said he shouldn't have seemed so surprised and relieved at hearing he was dead. I also find it hard to believe given Aqua's abilities that he doesn't know any actual information on his own father yet, so I think there's a misdirect there or I'm just missing or misunderstanding something. Haven't read ahead so this is as far as I know too.
