You open bleach on the official Disney plus page and play it at the same time as their reaction. They cant give you the episode as that's illegal

William Long

Nevermind I now realize that I did waste my money, this was extremely disappointing. I'll just stick to watching on youtube. Enjoy the 10 I guess.

Jaylan Burgos

Can someone please help me figure out how to watch bleach? I paid for the 10 dollar tier and the screen keeps blurring. I don't know how to sync and I feel like I wasted my money.

#SundayRundown. In this second episode of Blue Eye Samurai, during the flashback scenes with Swordfather, we finally learn that her name is Mizu. In Japanese Mizu means Water. And in this episode, the Water element is everywhere in its different forms, like with the water used to cool down the broken blade, the snow, the waves, the rain, the tide, Akemi's bath water, even Mizu's sword has waves on it... The "unexpected element" from the title of the episode was water. It is the element of change and represents the ability to adapt to different situations, and is a symbol of purification. This episode's main theme is "rebith" and it is also often associated with the notion of purification and water. This episode has multiples scenes with Mizu submerging herself in the water to be "reborn", like when she bind her chest to hide her true identity and re-ivent herself, same goes for Ringo (who thought his noodles were the best), and the Town's People who all dived in the sea during the festival's ritual. The water represents Mizu's personality and her tumultous life path.

The Evil Queen

You're right, there is one on the door.

Yes Suraj the ost is called 'Nothing can be explained' which is also Zangetsu's them. One of Bleach's best soundtracks, it hits different this scene. This is the vocal version which explains you hearing the singer in the background. Ichigo’s best transformation hands down and one of the hypest anime moments. 'Stand up be strong' ost embodies the scene perfectly 🔥 Mugetsu means 'Moonless Sky' which represents the darkness of Ichigo's technique. Only thing I wished this fight lasted a little longer. It ended a bit too quick for me but regardless I still love this fight.

Kayso

Mm I don’t think so there’s not really a difference between mha dub and sub. But for bleach the dub is damnn near intolerable for me especially with all the mistranslations and things they just leave out which confuses them which is annoying so when the sub is far more superior to the dub for bleach I would prefer they switch to sub or at least consider it after listening to a few sub scenes or sumn

KingCapone

Yeah no if they switch now after all this I'm stopping with the reactions. Same bull they tried to pull with My hero that upset everyone

PKKite

Please don't switch to sub for Bleach. Not after watching it in dub for so long.

Annie

You guys really should watch the fullbring arc or you will be confused about the tybw arc. Anyway thank you for the reaction! Edit: now that you are done with bleach(besides fullbring arc and tybw) just wanted to say that Aizen never used/attempted to use his Kyōka Suigetsu against Ichigo.

Ypres

Love you guys. All 5 of you guys are effing amazing. Thank you for the wonderful bleach reactions 🙂

#SundayRundown Bleach Yeah Yammy is dead and we won’t see him again. Despite being ranked as Espada 0, most fans I know have Yammy as their least favorite Espada and pretty much nobody liked the twist that he turned out to be Espada 0. Not surprising since he had the least liked personality and had the worst showcasing of the Espada, especially for someone of his ranking. To be fair, he did give more injuries to Kenpachi and Byakuya in the manga and Kenpachi had his eyepatch off. But it also says something that Kenpachi will thank Nnoitra (who’s #5) for a good fight while calling his fight with Yammy boring. Perhaps the reason he’s ranked 0 is because he had the potential to be the strongest since he gets stronger the angrier he gets? Even to this day, the strongest Espada debate still goes on with Yammy being 0, Starrk fighting 4 Captains without motivation, Barragan’s OP decaying abilities, and Ulquiorra’s secret 2nd transformation. There’s also Wonderweiss who’s confirmed to be Espada level in the databooks. After seeing what all the Espada can do, who was the most impressive one in your guys’ eyes?

#SundayRundown for bleach. I think the fullbringer arc gets a bad rap because it came after all this amazing finale stuff for the aizen saga, and then immediately after the fullbringer arc ends it got cancelled. And because the fullbringer arc is the introduction to the TYBW saga, it felt slow, low stakes and out of place. Because it's a new beginning. But I think it will flow better for you guys going straight into TYBW plus it contains very important information! I hope you enjoy it

CalamityJay

Sho Hayami is definitely my Aizen. I actually really like Kyle Hebert's voice too, but man......Sho Hayami is just a tier above imo. Also side note about the 20th anniversary - they announced they're doing a new project for Bleach (And from the way it's worded, it's NOT TYBW) and i really hope it's a remake lol.

Shockzz1234

Also tbh i think most people who read/watched it back then were teens who couldn't really understand the nuance and introspection that the Fullbring arc gives us. I say this because i was one of those teens who read it week to week lol, i remember thinking it was a bit boring. But maaaaan when i re read the series a few years later, when i'd grown up a bit, i liked it a LOT more. Like, it's slow paced yes, but everything about it is great. Character moments, character development, lore drops, a cool mystery angle, it was refreshing and different (different being another reason people dislike it). Also in the anime, since it was the last arc, they went all out and it has some of the best art and animation in the series. Idk, it's just GOOD.

Shockzz1234

" There is a reason why it's popularity fell off in the Arrancar saga." That is...not true at all though? It sold the most it ever did during the Arrancar arc. Arrancar was literally peak Bleach popularity.

Shockzz1234

#SundayRundown Bleach With Ichigo's thoughts regarding Aizen at the end, it is just his theory but since he was able to feel the sword and actually understand things a bit better he's able to know the truth. Knowing that you're that much stronger/smarter than pretty much everyone around you with no one particularly on your level gets to be a lot after a while. That's why Hogyoku gave Ichigo the opportunities to get this power, Aizen said he knew about him from the very beginning and he's been interested. So this whole time Aizen kinda specifically gave Ichigo all this to stand on his level. This next arc is really good and has actually one of my favorite "Villain" moments in anime that stands out just because of how crazy it is.

BlakStatik23

Aizen fr told kyoka suigetsu to put the fries in the bag lmao

iman

#SundayRundown, Bleach - Aizen became cocky after he started fusing with the Hokgyoku. He even destroyed the Cleaner in between worlds out of nothing but pure arrogance, which is what ultimately led to Ichigo being able to train and learn the Final Getsugs Tensho and it leads to his own demise and loss. Or perhaps per Ichigo's theory about him wanting an equal, he kills the Cleaner on purpose not out of arrogance, but in giving Ichigo one last chance (he says as much when Ichigo first appears before him, that he gave him the one last chance and he fumbled it) but of course Aizen didn't know Ichigo wasn gonna be THAT strong lol. Anyways, It's always funny that Aizen basically stopped using Kyoka Suigetsu once he started ascending. Like he never used his illusion powers once. A lot of people think in the long run it made him weaker not using it, and this is probably true, but - he basically says the reason why when it starts fading away - he feels he no longer needs its power anymore, he has become something "more", to him his Soul Reaper powers are now meaningless. Then there's the whole "Aizen throwing his powers away on purpose, wanting to become a normal Soul Reaper" thing that Ichigo says in the ep after, further confirming he abandons Kyoka Suigetsu. We never get to see it, but i really do wonder what Kyoka Suigetsu itself thought of this. To be essentially abandoned by the person it's closest too, the person who's soul it's modelled after. Was it ok with it because it was Aizen's soul? Or was it sad? Especially when it looks over to the other side of the battle and sees a Soul Reaper and a Zanpakuto in perfect union and understanding, basically one with each other, in Ichigo and Zangetsu. One who fights perfectly together with their Zanpakuto and one who rejects their Zanpakuto and deems it now useless or WANTS it to be useless so he can be a "normal" Soul Reaper. Who knows, but it's an interesting thought i have whenever i think of or watch/read this fight again.

Shockzz1234

Bleach og anime - censors everything and anything, even the smallest cuts and injuries. Also the Bleach og anime - YEAAAHHH POOL OF BLOOD FOR AIZEN'S TRANSFORMATION A WHOLE PILLAR OF IT YEAAHHHHH I always found that funny.

Pat was incorrect about Michigan basketball team they were called the Fab Five.

BLEACH #SundayRundown There is a lot to say about Aizen and Ichigoat summed it up brilliantly. What I will is that as much as I loved Kyle Hebert's Aizen, his performance in this last act is unfortunately not as good as Show Hayami, particularly when he's getting sealed. I recommend you to watch that part at least with the subs, it is exceptional. The anger and frustration in his voice, especially towards Urahara, and the drive to still have the conviction as he's silenced. Pat was definitely drinking the kool-aid and I don't blame him. Aizen made us all question the existence of the Soul King too. Overall, this was a brilliant way for this arc to bow out and I enjoyed listening to your theories and predictions for the Thousand Year Blood War. I don't know if you have already started the Fullbring arc(I'd imagine you've already clarified it before reading this comment), but defo don't skip the opening, dw there's no spoilers. I can't speak for everyone else but there's a sequence in it that got me really emotional, you'll know what I mean if you don't already. There's also a couple versions of the OP, so just something to keep your eye on. Speaking of the credits, in the next filler arc, there's an ED to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bleach, or rather 13 of them, focusing on different characters, with the final one coupling up Ichigo and Rukia. Time is indeed a flat circle, because next month, on October 5th, it is not only the 20th anniversary of the anime, but the 3rd season of the TYBW. You could say, it's all going according to plan. Lore note: You guys seemed a little confused about the hollow dog barking at Yammy before he died, his name is Kukkapuro. When he woke up in Hueco Mundo as a Hollow, he lost most of his memories, only recalling a large hand petting his head and calling him Kukkapuro. When he first met Yammy, he was reminded of his owner and accompanied Yammy since, who reluctantly kept him around. He's also an arrancar, and was given the number 35.

#SundayRundown Bleach Ichigo's final form has to be one of the coolest and most badass transformation's in manga/anime, also his final tecnique Mugetsu, translates to "Moonless sky". Also I love the scene with Urahara, him and Aizen are very similar, both studied Hollowfication, both created a Hogyoku and know the truth of the Soul King but while Aizen wanted to replace him and destroy the status quo, Urahara choose to maintain it at any means nessesary and from anyone, which makes him a very grey and facinating character. Also, in some aditional pages of the manga that were added later to the volumens, it is stated that Orihime heal certain characters and they survived the arc, not telling who to avoid spoilers but you should theorize who migth show up later.

And that’s y I will always believe pat is a secret trump supporter

#SundayRundown Do not skip the Fullbringer arc it is manga canon

The japanese freakin love their German Philosophers 🤣🤣 Though I'd posit that Aizen is closer to the people that Nietzche said would look on his work and come out with the wrong conclusion. I know that because a lot of Nietzche's works were published by his sister after he died and were edited in a way that made his work seem to support Nazis(Nietzche's sister very much subscribed to their BS)that people think it was his jam, but the nazis and in this case Aizen are definitely the people he predicted would take concepts like The Will to Power and The Ubermensch and bastardize it. But i fully agree that Aizen would see himself as the Ubermensch.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Also I'm pretty sure Ichigo has a sign with 15 on his bedroom door. I can't remember if that's something they consistently kept or if it was only there in the beginning. I could be misremembering though.

Smash Bran'Discootch

I think the reason so many people get upset about the Fullbringer arc is because it is a very different tone. It is canon and very important to the story but after the Aizen fight and then having nothing after the fullbringer arc (until ten years later when they released TYBW) made it feel off. I think knowing you will not have to wait for the TYBW it will not feel as frustrating to you. Having the original show end after the fullbringer arc was the reason it took the hit it did. But again as others said, not filler and has some important characters.

Christy

I thought Byakuya said it was the monkey trying to capture the moon unless it was another bad translation from japanese

#SurajdayRanadown (FmAB) - Holy Motown I've got a lot for you today. First off, I know anime fans so Rana might be getting some crap for referring to alchemy as "magic" instead of science but like...real world alchemy was deeply rooted in mysticism so like...she's right lol. It wasn't until alchemy made it's way from Egypt, through Greece, and into what is referred to modern times as the middle east, that alchemy went full on balls to the wall science and eventually turned into chemistry. Heck, the word alchemy comes from the Arabic word الكیمیاء . A huge reason the western world even knows that Alchemy is a thing is due to texts being translated from Arabic into Latin. Now let's talk about Alchemy vs. Alkahestry. Alchemy as depicted in the show is based on Hexagrams(a six pointed star). This comes from the alchemical symbol for fire(an upward pointing triangle) and the symbol for water(a downward pointing triangle) being laid over one another. This forms what we would recognize in modern times as a Star of David. A star of David is a two dimensional representation of a Merkabah. Okay so what's that? TL;DR religion: The merkabah is a symbol in sacred geometry and basically means "Chariot of Fire" and was considered to be the moving throne of God. This fully represents Amestris' use of alchemy for war. There is even a modern day Israeli tank called "Merkava". So what about Alkahestry? They use it for medicine in Xing. You'll notice that it is based on pentagrams(seven pointed star). Well where do we see that in relation to medicine?! If you think on Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man drawing, the symbol is very close to a pentagram. You can also think about the seven chakras, ways of distributing energy across the body. This is getting way long so i won't talk about Gnosticism YET but oh lawd it's coming. Also if this makes it to the rundown, Suraj if you have your phone with you I'd love to see your reaction to looking up the other name of the Alchemist Paracelsus(I spoke of him before). I'll explain the relevance to Rana on a later rundown but it'd be a spoiler for her right now. I KNOW you'll get a kick out of it though haha.

# SUNDAY RUNDOWN It was so exhilarating to relive this awesome peak through you guys. As Chris says, when Bleach climaxes, it climaxes HARD. It's a shame the middle was weighed down by anime changes, censorship and bad pacing. The Manga is the best of the big 3 imo. A part of that are the poems. You see, in the manga, every volume begins with a poem from one of the characters, highlighting their perspective and character. Way back when Aizen was introduced, he got a poem. "We think a flower on the precipice is beautiful Because fear halts our feet at the edge Instead of stepping into the sky Like that flower." It's about a flower on the very edge of a cliff growing alone into the sky. I believe this highlights everything about Aizen's situation. Again, it was an honor to climax with all of you.

Tristan Harley

#SundayRundown Bleach As you saw in the episode, Ichigo wakes up with his friends around him. But he's wearing a white robe. In the manga however, chapter 423 shows him wearing a yellow sweater with the number 15 graphic on it. Looks pretty cool, you should look it up. Fun fact: The word "Ichigo" means strawberry. But it also means the number 15, correlating to the age Ichigo was at the start of Bleach, as well as Ichigo's birthday July 15, which is also my birthday.

Bleach Expert

BLEACH #SUNDAYRUNDOWN These episodes cover content found in Volume 48 of Bleach titled "God is Dead" which is very important here and later within the story Aizen is Übermensch, The Übermensch is a being who reaches their best self by not succumbing to religion or morality, a being who can affirm their own life, not seek purpose in what they have been told to do. The Übermensch can determine for themselves, their own value. Not falling into despair/ nihilism instead gaining strength and transcending. Aka being a God. Which is why here Aizen says, "The Victor must always speak not of the world as it is, but of how it should be". If something greater does not deem it so, then for what purpose do we exist? Figuratively he is a fallen angel cast out of heaven, who builds an army of demons in the underworld and invades heaven so that he become god. His final transformation also looked similar to William Blakes Great Red Dragon painting. He seeks to be a "God" and he seeks to escape Isolation. To be more concise in regards to his God Complex, he doesn't want or accept anyone or anything having governance over him which stems from his natural state of being better than everyone around him. This also leaves him with no equal, therefore no one understands him. These two goals form a conflict, Aizen wants someone on his level yet he is also aware that someone being on that level could force him into a state of governance which is why he got so frantic with Ichigo, someone who he purposely made his equal Aizen is a character whose natural state left him in a neverending Conflict, he has the will, ability and Ego to Govern the world yet those benefits stripped him of the chance to ever garner Understanding (Also why he was so upset with Urahara who he thought at least understood his mindset). In a way, his story is somewhat tragic, Someone who through natural Isolation seeks to make a world where they can be understood Kubo intentionally set up Aizen to NOT be relatable, backstory is an easy and common tool in literature to form a sense of understanding between the Viewers and the Characters but Aizen whole concept is that no one has or will understand him Also next arc The Lost Agent is amazing, my 2nd favorite behind Thousand Year Blood War

Ichigoat

Man sub is so much better especially with the award winning VA they got for TYBW

KingCapone

#Sunday Rundown So the last part of this episode is actually filler sort of. In the manga he loses his powers immediately and the scene we get is the end of the next nonfiller episode you will watch instead of him in the Soul Society. The reason they had him lose his powers over time is because they wanted him powered for the next filler arc, The Invading Army(which actually has one of my favorite moments in Bleach period so it is worth watching on your own if you wish.)

Annah Suarez-Domit

especially for 1000 year blood arc which sub is better than dub

metcaldfl. bob

#SundayRundown Finally after about 200 canon episodes we have seen the phenomenal end to the arrancar saga and will continue to a very controversial arc that some fans can’t appreciate even though it is very integral to the story of Bleach as well as Ichigo as a character. Just want to say ahead of time that the TYBW so far has 2 parts out and that the last 3 episodes of each part should be watched together as that’s how they were released.

ispeckz--

Watch fullbringer arc. It is Canon. Don't listen to anyone that says not to watch it and that it's not Canon. They are wrong. And the pacing is mostly an anime issue. Not to say the Manga is perfect but it's way better. And I repeat. Do NOT skip the fullbring arc.

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

#SundayRundown (Bleach) Don't let people bring you down on the next arc, you'll just need a little introspective with the more adult themes to fully bring home what it's all about. Interestingly though, this arc was actually supposed to be the first arc of the show but got shuffled around.

MarkyO

The Fullbring Arc has some really amazing moments and I'm excited to see you guys react to it. It's tonally different from everything Bleach has offered so far which makes it refreshing.

AttackRunRepeat

It's official name isn't Xcution. It's the Lost Agent arc.

Man I’m praying they switch to subs or at least listen to how good the sub is

#Blue Eye Samurai: Remember that the main dude in the 4 fangs said "Your foot announces your thoughts" to Mizu when they sparred. Mizu did not use the tide to determine when to throw the sword... she used the footfalls and knew that he was jumping, because his feet announced his thoughts. When she heard that he missed a step, she knew that he was in the air and unable to dodge. Regarding Taigen: Remember this... Mizu is heavily damaged and Taigen does not have a scratch on him. He could return with the corpse of Mizu and tell everyone that they fought a battle, where he gave her all those wounds and she didn't get a single hit in! He basically has the perfect scenario right in front of him, where he would gain all his honor back (seen from other people) and he would gain the fame of having killed the one who made a joke out of the whole Shinjo Dojo! All without a single wound. Everything he ever wanted is right in front of him, served up on a silver platter!

One more arc and then its time for the Thousand Year Blood War.

#SundayRundown #BLEACH Suraj ALMOST got it. 😛. The "final" arc of "BLEACH" (i.e. pre-TYBW) is known as the Fullbringer arc; even though its official name is Xcution. I'm actually super excited for you guys to watch it because, unlike most of us, y'all get to actually experience Fullbringer for what it was meant to be: The calm before the storm. A smaller arc that goes in a decidedly more introspective direction, before the MASSIVE finale that is Thousand-Year Blood War. For most of us, on the other hand, it was very disappointing because with the shows cancellation, that meant this smaller, introspective arc WAS the finale; which made "BLEACH" feel like it was ending with a whimper. Now that we have TYBW, many people are coming around on the Fullbring arc, and are more able to appreciate it, which I think it deserves. 👍🏽

Nabeshin

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN #Bleach In the manga, Ichigo pretty much loses his powers instantly. In the anime, there is a filler arc after Ichigo vs Aizen where he slowly loses his powers. It takes place before the full bringer arc and is anime only.

MackXi

#SundayRundown Bleach The conflict of Aizen and Urahara is that of Nietzsche's Übermensch vs the Last Man. The Übermensch is someone who saw that all values are fake, that god is dead, but instead of falling into despair/submission or nihilism, he gains strength from it and transcendents from man to super man. Aizen, mostly thanks to his ego, only saw this as even more evidence that he was completely right (debatable) and wants to change the system so that it fits his ideals, whatever those may be. Urahara on the other hand (seemingly) gave into the system. Not because he wants it, but because he can't see any other way. Aizen is someone who sees the system as incorrect and lead by a force he doesn't belive. While Urahara knows the system works well enough and doesn't want to change it. Depending on your point of view it's a fight of a man wanting to change the system for the betterment he belives in while Urahara wants to keep things the same for stability. Which parallels our world with systems staying in power for stability whether or not they should stay as decades pass.

PKKite

#SundayRundown #Bleach Unfortunately, Gin is dead. Yeah, it's kind of a let-down considering how many people survived with arguably worse injuries (Momo getting stabbed in the heart and Hiyori getting cut in half). For me that's one of the issues I have with this arc. People getting gravely injured left right and centre but the Gotei 13 suffering no casualties in the end. Seriously, no one died. In this entire "war". The Espadas being hyped up as entities stronger than the captains and then the captains just roll up and fold them into the ground. The whole Yammy being 0 Espada serving no purpose. Like have Chad, Renji and Rukia fight him (and keep him as Number 10) so that they they can walk away with some Ws. Renji and Chad especially need some. But nah, Yammy gets to be the 0 Espada and gets off screened by Byakuya and Kenpachi. And yeah Yammy is dead too btw. Also Nel. Remember Nel? I wonder what she's up to. Sorry about being negative but I think it's sometimes nice to take a look at the stuff that often gets forgotten in these comments. Bleach isn't perfect. There is a reason why it's popularity fell off in the Arrancar saga. Kubo has a tendency to introduce really cool characters with cool visuals that get left behind when he inevitably gets bored with them. Don't get me wrong I still love Bleach. It's one of my favourite anime. I just wish it was better in some regards. In Chris's words: "Less gorgonzola on my steak please"

Daniel Holko

#SundayRundown Bleach I think it’s really interesting how the two people to have defeated Aizen are: 1. Kisuke, someone Aizen considers to be his equal in terms of intellect, and Ichigo, someone Aizen considers to be his equal in terms of strength. EDIT: btw i know you are all excited for TYBW, but know that there is still one more arc before that one. This one is a lot slower paced than what Bleach has been up until now, but honestly that makes it feel like a breath of fresh air for me. It is one of my favorite arcs in Bleach.

Alex M

#SundayRundown Bleach Kubo was struggeling alot with shoulder injury which made the manga progress very slowly. and since the big three did not work on seasons, they needed to make fillers to keep it competative and on air. In the end they needed to rush the main parts to finish. It was alot of pressure on Kubo. It is a really sad part of anime history, as the story is one of the best out there, and as good as the anime is, it doesnt even come close to giving the story justice.
