Currently there are no people there, as mentioned before, all the people were put to sleep and moved to the outside of the Rukon district along with the real Karakura town. But if there were any people there, all they would see is the city being destroyed but they wouldn't see who is doing it. That is what the opening depicts. Kamishini No Yari, Gin's bankai, means God-killing spear.

Say what you want about it as filler but the soundtrack for it was epic. I'd love to see you listen to the OST for Bleach, one of the best 👌

2024-08-22 03:35:03 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown - I could be wrong, but to answer Suraj's question about Tatsuki and why it was teased that she was gonna get powers but didn't etc - i think she (and some of Ichigo's other friends) were initially supposed to get some powers, but Bleach wasn't doing too well in the rankings when it first started, so Kubo bought the Soul Society plot (Renji and Byakuya appearing) forward and a little earlier than he originally planned and as a result of that, the plans to give Tatsuki and others powers was scrapped..... Kind of! There's two filler episodes (213 and 214) that kinda reference it by making Tatsuki and Ichigo's friends into a superhero Power Rangers/Super Sentai kinda looking team created by Urahara where they fight hollows (with Don Kanonji also in it!) led by Kon. I've linked the wiki page for them below if you wanna take a gander in your own time so you can see the members and what they look like, but yeah - kind of a fun idea for a filler episode (or two!). https://bleach.fandom.com/wiki/Karakura-Raizer_Team

I can go into the top part though just in the fact that Aizen knowing about the Hogyoku at all means he has methods of learning about Rukia. The fact that he didn't try to kill Urahara and take it before the Vizord incident implies he learned about it within the last 100 years after they left SS and was trying to find it on his own. I highly doubt Urahara recorded and formally archived that information, and if he did it's less likely he would have regarding where/why/how he hid it (not sure if I'm giving Kubo too much credit for writing or just found a huge plot hole) Whatever method that was could reasonably lead him to Rukia seperate from any plans he already had, forcing adjustments. Thanks for the discussion

2024-08-21 20:06:20 +0000 UTCAizen can't figure out Rukia has hogyoku if he doesn't even know that she has gone missing. I don't reminder exact spoken lines but this makes more sense. 1. Aizen sent Rukia to Karakura by pulling strings to awaken Ichigo. 2. Sent a hollow after Ichigo. Rukia met him. 3. Turn of events caused her to give her powers to Ichigo. Aizen can't have predicted that, but he was pleased with the results. 4. Aizen kept an eye on them cuz he was interested in Ichigo. Saw that Urahara gave Rukia a gigai and she isn't recovering her powers. He then understood what was happening. That Urahara is trying to hide something inside Rukia's soul with the gigai he gave, turning her into a human. 5. Aizen (acting as central 46) sent Byakuya and Renji to retrieve Rukia. This way Ichigo could survive, as Rukia plead for his life from her brother. Aizen in these latest episodes was only explaining why Rukia ended up giving Ichigo that special treatment, that she wouldn't have given to anyone else. So Aizen didn't necessarily know Ichigo will gain powers from Rukia but he did expect Rukia to go out of her way to help him.

I recall Aizen stated that by the time he figured out Rukia had the Hogoku she had gone missing. So with what he said here about Kaien here my understanding was basically her grief and mentality combined with the Hogyoku was the reason she lost all of her power instead of what she intended, and Urahara's gigai was why they never came back. He did also imply earlier that he is the reason Ichigo even met Rukia so that throws me more to what you said. Thinking about it now it sounds like them meeting and her giving up her power was planned by Aizen's, but her having the Hogyoku at the time was not. I could be wrong so anyone can feel free to correct me.

When she gave her powers to Ichigo and needed a gigai to hide herself for a while till her powers return back, she borrowed a gigai from Urahara which he offered himself. But her powers were not returning back with time and she was noticing. When Aizen revealed things in SS arc, it was found that gigai that Urahara gave to Rukia contained Hogyoku. That's where Urahara decided to hide it from Aizen. That gigai was untracable and it was supposed to turn Rukia into a human permanently. Once that had happened, Hogyoku would have been successfully hidden nice and quiet. Urahara's plan didn't work cuz he didn't know Aizen himself sent Rukia to Karakura for his pet project, that is Ichigo. Rukia was always in Aizen's sight and that's how SS found Rukia's location despite the untracable gigai. So yeah... Urahara made unlucky mistake. Aizen had sent Rukia to stir Ichigo's life and awaken him. Chose Rukia for this for a bunch of reasons. He did send hollows too to make sure the duo meet. Urahara chose wrong person to hide hogyoku into.
