Chapter 56 Someone who truly care for her

Finally, they finished eating. Thanks to Yang Chen’s huge appetite, they had to prepare another three servings of steak before he was satisfied.


Xu Zhihong could only feel his blood dripping out of his heart. Before his eyes was a content mutton skewer seller who acted gracefully while effortlessly devouring the food.


“Thank you for the hospitality, Boss Xu. I believe we should get going now.” 


Lin Ruoxi said as she wiped her mouth in a refined manner and stood up.


At this moment, Xu Zhihong, who was already exhausted, smiled and said. 


“Ruoxi, it’s already this late; wouldn’t it be better for me to allow Hairy Ball to drive you back? Driving at night is not safe.”


“There is no need to trouble you any further, Mr.Zu.”


Yang Chen responded instead of Lin Ruoxi. 


“I will be the one to drive for my wife. I am her husband and her everything. So a driver is a must. For her, I could be anything."


Seeing him speak like a true husband, many female waiters became jealous of Lin Ruoxi and admired her for having such a caring husband. 


They couldn't help but whisper to each other, speculating about how lucky Lin Ruoxi was to have someone like Yang Chen in her life.


Lin Ruoxi blushed and hooked her arm with Yang Chen’s arm. She felt too shy to say anything.


Inside Xu Zhihong’s heart, he cursed him for being such a good pretender. He was about to leave, but he still dared to do emotional damage to him!


His face was rigid and unmoving as he had to force his mouth to talk.


“You’re a very good husband, Mister Yang. Hairy Ball, please see them out.”


Not waiting to stay in the private room any longer, Lin Ruoxi dragged Yang Chen’s hand and quickly left from there. Being in a room full of waiters and getting gazes from them made her face turn scorching hot.

“Finished seeing them off?” 


Xu Zhihong asked with his eyes half closed, his voice downcast.


Fishing a cigarette from his pocket, he lit it up and fiercely took a couple of breaths. He naively smiled and showed a mouth full of yellow teeth. 


“I’ve seen them out. That bastard drove pretty quickly, leaving behind only a wisp of exhaust smoke from the car before disappearing into the distance.”


“Hmph…” 


Xu Zhihong coldly laughed. 


“This stupid woman thinks she can get away from me just because she brought a man to hinder me? She is underestimating me way too much.”


“Boss, do you want me to find this man surnamed Yang and get rid of him? Once this little youngster realizes who he is dealing with, he won’t dare act this cocky.” 


Hairy Ball said, swinging his arm in a slicing motion.


“You need not do anything for now. I only need to send out a couple of capable people, but I first need to gain knowledge of his background. I do not believe that a mutton skewer seller can know anything about Nebbiolo. Furthermore, he doesn’t seem to be an idiot.”


“Boss, you are thinking too much. In this day and age, you can find out everything about a person online; nothing can be hidden. If he truly is such a big shot, why is he selling mutton skewers on the streets?” 


Hairy Ball scoffed.


“Even a dam, a thousand miles long, can be broken down by an ant nest, so if you are to do something, do it with caution. This is why you are the subordinate while I am the boss.” 


Xu Zhihong responded faintly, with his eyes half-closed.


“Yes. Yes. Whatever the boss says goes. Tomorrow, I ought to go on the streets and find people to rough him up. Even if he ends up dead, he can only blame himself.” 


Hairy Ball then scratched his head and asked. 


“Boss, why do you tie yourself down like this? Miss Lin is really beautiful, but in Zhong Hai City, there are countless beauties for you to take in. Unlike me, with my looks, if I don’t wave a couple of big bills around, even a prostitute wouldn’t look at me."


Hairy Ball said this while playing with his beard.


“What do you know?”


Xu Zhihong responded.

Upon hearing the name “Mo Qianni," Hairy Ball’s two eyes immediately brightened up. Licking his lips, he released a breath of cold air. If his boss got his hand on Lin Ruoxi, then Mo Qianni would be his!

While returning to their villa at Dragon Garden, Yang Chen attempted to speak to Lin Ruoxi, but she was too shy to speak to him properly. He acted as a good husband, which was too much for her.

Only when they finally arrived at the villa’s entrance did Lin Ruoxi say something to him.


“Please tell Wang Ma that I will sleep outside for today.”


Hearing that, Yang Chen made a very sad face and spoke with a soft and hurtful voice.


“Are you mad at me, Ruoxi? I am sorry if I did something wrong. I promise I won't do anything like that again.” 


He was like an abandoned puppy, which made Lin Ruoxi feel guilty! How could he be so good at acting?!

Seeing her become panicky, Yang Chen smiled and patted her head to calm her down. It was fun teasing her like that.


"I know. Sorry for teasing you. I will tell Wang Ma for you."


Lin Ruoxi sighed in relief, seeing that he wasn't hurt by her words and actions. She nodded and didn't refuse his patting. 


"You are really mean. You know that."


"I am sorry, but I will do it again."


She smiled and shook her head. His action made her feel better about the huge amount of work she would be facing. Yang Chen thought about something, then he suddenly kissed Lin Ruoxi on the forehead.


"??!!"


Lin Ruoxi was shocked that he suddenly kissed her like that.


"I gave you some of my vital Qi. You won't be as tired after receiving it." 


Yang Chen explained with a tired face. Lin Ruoxi saw his face and felt moved. He must really care about her if he was willing to share his vital Qi to help alleviate her fatigue.


Lin Ruoxi could only nod. She must remember this and will always be grateful for his kindness and concern. From that moment on, she knew that Yang Chen was not just a fake partner but someone who truly cared for her well-being.
