2024-04-26 05:01:42 +0000 UTC#SundayRundown The idea of gene editing in the YJ universe SOUNDS like a good idea on paper, and I'd love to see it discussed further in a later season, but there are some serious issues that could arise from this. On one hand, I could see Vandal Savage salivating at the chance to get this technology. The ability to have EVERY human be born healthy and with a meta gene would greatly help him with his plans. On the other hand, I can't help but feel like he'd view it as cheating/genocide, that if you're basically mass producing perfect babies, can they even be considered human? Would evolution even be possible if you can already design a perfect being and didn't allow deviation? What is a 'true human'? I feel like there are a lot of stories that could be told with this and this episode even says that this is to open a discussion on the topic.

2024-04-26 00:50:51 +0000 UTCwhat pat is talking about is bereavement. there are many companies that honor a bereavement period or have a bereavement clause so they can delay payment on bills or get time off from work/school and not accrue any penalties. they are too privileged to know about such programs or to any think "lets look into government assistance". definitely something she should have applied for when she wasnt working cause since she has a child she would get cash benefits, medicaid and food stamps.

2024-04-26 00:09:32 +0000 UTCi agree with pat. buffy became guardian on paper but kept playing big sister in reality. she is drilling NO discipline into dawn and gives her no punishments for her bad behavior outside of a stern talking to. heck, its not even that stern as we have seen buffy be waaaaay harsher with spike and other villains. the sterness she had after she first found out dawn was the key is the mother mode she needs to be in.

He didn't act on anything until after so I didn't find it to be that bad. I read somewhere that Wesley was only 22. Also Wesley never "lost" Cordelia as Spidey put it. After they kissed they mutually realized they didn't have chemistry.

A underrated trope in tv and movies are the evil grandma characters like in horror movies such as ‘IT’. Fun fact: Granny has been voiced by men and women. In the Superman & Justice League show from the 2000s, she was voiced by Ed Asner aka Ed Wuncler from the Boondocks & was also voiced by Khary Payton in one of the DC animated movies. I thought the scenes with Karen/Bumble Bee & Mal were powerful from the birth of their daughter to having to deal with the hole in her heart. I know Suraj essentially answered it in reaction but since Rana doesn’t watch, I’m curious to know; if she had a child, would you give them a dose of meta genes if it meant they would potentially struggle less in life (physical issues or diseases etc) ?

Since Fatherboxes are used on Darkseid's evil planet Apokolips and Motherboxes are used on New Genesis, both boxes hate each other and that's why whenever Cyborg got possessed by the Fatherbox he was fused with, it tried to kill Halo since they have the Soul of a Motherbox. Also besides the birth of Halo, when a Box dies, their souls go to the Source, which is what happened to Cyborg's Fatherbox after the team put Vic in Metron's chair to save him. Also in case y'all were wondering, the translation for What Halo says whenever she cleanses someone of mind control is, "I call on the Source to return us to our true, whole selves." Also I know this is getting a bit long now but just wanted to tell y'all that Wyynde actually was one of the racist Atlanteans that I'm mentioned last week but obviously he's changed now and doesn't hold those racist beliefs anymore and he's actually a member of The OG Aquaman's Royal Guard. (Also loved how happy Suraj and Navi were when they realized Dolphin was Indian)

Second Karen & Mal had a really weird birth, she just decided to give their new baby the meta-gene while she was in her. Then Victor somehow managed to sense what was going on and Violet freed Dick & Jeff from Granny's control. Lastly turns out Dr. Jace was in contact with someone from THE LIGHT this whole time! Not good.

But since comics are faster to produce, he debuted first in comic and they established him as gay. I don't know what Young Justice would have been able to get away with on Cartoon Network back in the day or if they planned for him to be gay, straight or bi. If nothing else, Kaldur having a boyfriend bridges the gap between the comic and show.
