“Modern Anime Poll” Frieren ““Buffy Poll”” Last two seasons of Angel should be added as they are insane. Hercules and Xena are great but Xena is a better show overall. Charmed is fun as well. “Cartoon Poll” X-men ‘97 “Succession Poll” Barry is a must watch. Every episode is great and it’s a short concise show. True Detective Season 1 is an experience. True Blood is great for the first couple of seasons then it falls off tremendously like the show Weeds.

Cartoon replacement: 'Solar Opposite' - From the creators of rick and morty. A family of aliens move to middle America after their planet is destoryed. HBO replacement: 'Righteous Gemstones' - The Gemstone family run a 'megachurch' but don't practice what they preach, using their positions and donations for their own selfish motives and to hide shocking secrets. Soooo funny and would be an awesome succession successor. Melodrama / Comedy replacement: 'Brassic' - I know you guys don't really do UK shows but there's a gap in the market for this one! 'Brassic' is easily the best UK comedy / dramedy of the past 10 years. It's about a group of friends who are petty criminals, led by the bipolar Vincent. Has a lot of heart, a lot of humour and a lot of crazy situations. Hope you all are well! Wasn’t sure you were still combing through for suggestions on polls, but just in case: Buffy poll-“The West Wing” a killer political drama that paved the way for a lot of tropes in the political tv arena. “The Golden Girls”, totally out of left field, but if you’re looking for a classic show, this is by far a CLASSIC comedy. “Downtown Abbey” a wonderfully classic period drama. Succession poll-FOr an adjacent exclusive streamer “For All Mankind” on AppleTV is an awesome hard sci-fi imagining of Russia beating the U.S. to the moon. The alternate history of this series is masterful in its depth. Maybe add “The Newsroom”, a fairly short series, but during an election year, it may be interesting to have a show that engages discussion about reporting, and Sorkin used contemporary news stories to weave the stories for his own fictitious news organization.

Another vampire show but a really good one it’s to potentially replace buffy/angel whenever it finishes. interview with a vampire S2 is about to start may 12 you didn’t need to have read the books or watch the original movie but it’s a really good adaptation with a few differences but it was made by Anne rice with her son the original creator (Anne) who unfortunately passed just before S1 aired but her son took Over and it’s still was wildly accepted and a really good show a must watch 👍🏾🤞🏾🙏🏾 P.S I think it would bring some very good discussions since the show tackles some real American history and tricky issues with a vampires in the mix. Plus would say it’s way better that true bloods and if this doesn’t win The vampire diaries and The originals especially is better than true bloods👀🤫

Buffy Poll: Justified (6 seasons, 78 episodes) Whole show is great, but seasons 2,4 and 6, I'd stack against the three best seasons of any other show on tv (Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc.) Succession Poll: Banshee (4 seasons, 38 episodes) Action scenes are right up there with the Marvel Netflix stuff. Very over the top, with big "just go with it" energy, but it all mostly works. Cobra Kai Poll: Barry or The Bear, both are great dramatic comedies (or comedic dramas). Fair warning, Barry gets pretty dark on the back half (think Bojack dark, but without the animal puns).

I'm curious to what the criteria for popular episodes of BTAS would be considering it was dropped previously and actually had higher or similar views to another show that was continued because if we saw Robins Reckoning and the Worlds Finest (maybe that doesn't count since i think that's definitely in SupermanTAS but it was a crossover and they made a movie version i consider it part of Batman) maybe some Ras, Joker and the movies thrown in I'd consider voting it again but man the DCAU is the best only thing I hate is that one thing think it was Timms personal fetish or something but at least with the original character it wouldn't have been weird because they were the same age back then I believe

As other people said, Veronica Mars - plus, it's only 4 seasons + a movie, so it's not the insane run that Supernatural is. I'd also say even though I'm not sure what category I'd be, I'd be half amused/horrified by the lack of political knowledge that would pop up with a West Wing watch.

Fringe and Supernatural may not be THAT old, but definitely classics at this point haha should be in contention for replacing Buffy. Supernatural's length is intimidating but you can just stick to the first 5 seasons, the Kripke main story. And then yall can reevaluate once the 5 seasons are done.

Because there is a Watcher for Earth in every universe, he is not limited to the MCU. In the original series the Watcher also made an appearance and this was obviously long before the MCU’s What If series, this is just a normal thing within Marvel as the Watcher as a character always appears to “watch” moments of great importance and appeared during the Dark Phoenix saga. So the Watcher in episode 5 is from reality 92131 (the reality the anime series resides in) and differs from the one seen in What If.

Modern Anime Poll: Buddy Daddies, Fruits Basket (reboot - I know this kinda falls under the older anime classics too, but the reboot also isn't older than 5 years - it is exactly 5 years, lol). Cartoon Poll: Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts Cobra Kai Poll: Pushing Daisies (I think this is probably a better fit in this category, since it is a comedy-drama, but it might be a series that could fit the Succession Poll too). None of these will probably win any of the polls, but I'm happy that you guys are reading all of these comments and are communicating things like this really well. It was suggested before by myself and others, but going forward, I really do think it would be best to separate hugely popular and well known battle shonen anime series and the like (stuff like DBZ, Spy x Family, etc.) from other less known (but still fairly popular series) so those lesser known series can stand any kind of chance. You could separate by genre (have a Magical Girl poll, for example) and/or by demographic markers and the like (Shoujo Anime Poll, Original Anime Poll, etc.). I think that would help a lot and help diversify the anime series that get reacted to.

YJ Poll: If you guys go with the DC animated movies to replace Young Justice, it might be better fo follow a somewhat consistent order of releases, otherwise you might be too confused about the different franchises/timelines. A lot of DC animated movies are standalone that take place all over the place in the timeline. While the New 52 movies are not all great, they at least have a strong continuity. This is actually the order Blind Wave has been following with their DC movies. It's called the DC Animated Movie Universe and goes from The Flashpoint Paradox to Apokolips War.

Mad Men is a fantastic show but not very reaction friendly. It’s a deep slow burn drama with less comedy than succession or sopranos or even deadwood. And if someone like pat is in the reaction i think people might just completely dip out.

Modern Anime Poll: I think Shows like Solo Leveling, Ninja Kamui, Blue Lock, Kaiju No. 8 (which just came out) and MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES have big interests attached to them right now, so it would bring new eyes to the channel. I also feel it would set the channel up to jump on the hype train as new seasons come out, just like the Invincible 1 and 2 build-up happened. Cartoon Polla I think having grown-up cartoons is a great idea for shows, and I think those with strong grown-up messages tend to hit well, like Bojack Horseman. Adventure Time, which would set you guys up for Adventure Time Fionna and Cake Reactions, which I feel is a good content bridge; Archer, Steven Universe, and Steven Universe Future, also shows that might be fun but not considered are Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, The Dragon Prince, Kipo, the Age of wonderbeasts and blood of Zeus, season 2 is coming out soon could be good popular show to jump on. YJ Poll I'm not sure if only watching season 1 of Green Lantern is a good idea because people might get turned off knowing you won't be continuing it, and if cliffhangers happen, knowing you won't get to the end could feel unsatisfying. I think watching X-Men ’97 is a great idea. It's hitting right now and is just a great show. If a good enough number haven't seen the original, it could be a good long series to start in place of another long series. Sorry for the long post. I normally never post something this long, but I want to express my thoughts. I'm sure you guys already know everything I said, but thanks for opening up the floor for comments.

Does Jojo's Bizarre Adventure count as modern since the animated of part 6 came out in 2021 and 2022. Also I'd personally consider anime that came out in the 2000s and onward as modern. But maybe that's my age showing. I think things drawn digitally and incorporate 3D graphics are modern.

The only one I watch of these is Buffy and honestly none of the suggested replacements sound like something I would watch. I’ll think if I can come up with any suggestions. Maybe Dollhouse another Joss great that has Eliza and is highly underrated. Maybe Once Upon A Time. We eventually get a Spike-ish character in Captain Hook. I would probably pick up umbrella academy if that replaced cobra Kai. Only Murders in the Building should replace anything.

Harley Quinn poll, If you have not seen the original x-men show, the x-men 97 takes up after that. While it is showing it's age a bit, you might want to start with that. That is if you pick x-men 97. The DC animated movies tend to be pretty good, with a few exceptions, but they generally take place after the justice league show, at least until they do the reboot of the animated universe. The reboot is flashpoint paradox, (which also has a little bit of a tie in to young justice).

Suggestions for the Cobra Kai poll: Leverage: Robin-hood-y con man show. Generally upbeat and episodic with some great character interaction. Christian Kane is a main character and you'll see a bunch of Buffy Alumns. Chuck: Spy and work-place comedy action. Plenty of nerdy references and recognizable guest stars. Warrior is great (and does fascinating things with language and perspective) but not very "happy." Cartoon Poll: Archer is hilarious and will certainly be an instant hit with the couch. Venture Bros: takes a little longer to find its stride and in a lot of ways is a smarter and meaner than Archer. It really helps if you've watched 80s cartoons like Johnny Quest, Scooby Doo, GI JOE (I'm not entirely certain how old you all are.) For the Succession poll: Rome. Historical drama that was actually recommended to me by my college professor with "It is passably accurate, culturally authentic and has all that sex, violence and swearing you young people love so much." Fantastic acting, notably including the late Ray Stevenson (Blackbeard from Black Sails, Baylan Skol from Ahsoka.) It's also only 22 episodes, so you'll be done. Deadwood: like Rome, definitely fits in the "based on real people but tweaked for history." Very authentic and morally complex. This and Rome should remind you a lot of "Black Sails." Barry: Definitely should be added but not my top choice of these three. Buffy poll: Dollhouse: Another Whedon series Rena has referenced. Well worth the watch. Veronica Mars: High school noir detective starring Kristen Bell. Highschool melodrama, class warfare, mysteries of the week, one of TV's greatest dads, a very "Spike-ish" supporting character and an ongoing season-long mystery. BSG (2000s reboot) is certainly my top pick. It'll scratch a lot of Suraj's Lost itches, has some fantastic acting and character work and the CGI holds up VERY well. While I personally LOVE Babylon 5 and SG-1 and want more people to react to them, they are longer shows (SG-1 and Atlantis is a 15 season commitment) and B5 in particular requires a lot more attention and memory than I think the Normies can spare (not really a criticism, you all watch a lot of shows at once.)

I think "Ninja Kamui" could be removed. There was a lot of hype around it, and the first couple episodes were excellent, but it's slowly fallen off towards the end of the season, and has more of a western cartoon feel now, and the animation and story have become a bit generic. I think you’ve missunderstood, YJ ends for them in November at which point the replacement show will start. X-Men 97 season 1 ends next month so the first season will have long since finished. But I do agree that they should start from the original series particularly if they haven’t seen it before and only know the movie versions of the X-Men

I think show length should be a higher priority when selecting shows and putting into the schedule, example is the cartoon slot which has hazbin and helluva boss relatively short shows, but is lumped with archer and adventure time also great shows but they are extremely long which frankly lock the cartoon slot for the next year or so. So I suggest maybe alternate between the length of shows for each genre, like react to two shorter shows 24 EPs or shorter then do a long show after when you have prepared and set aside that commitment in your schedule, this is just to keep things flowing instead of being locked in to multi season shows for the foreseeable future.

I always advocate for going for greatest maxim, i.e. watching as many shows so getting through shorter shows first. Stuff like hazbin, hellavu boss, teen titans, dr stone, and fire force; while the later 2 are technically on hiatus; they could be finished relatively quickly and that goes for any show including the live action categories. As for the Modern Anime Poll, please be aware that Fire Force is lots of over the top and frankly, disgustingly sexist fan service that doesn't really have any point to it and detracts from any scene that it occurs in. It is also extremely average and has nothing that differentiates it between other shonen. I would suggest replacing it with Bungou Stray Dogs or just keep the poll shorter. Frieren should win regardless.

Hi! I just want to state this as quite a few of us on discord have had similar feelings: Your anime polls have too many options. I know there are a lot of options out there and also that individual members of the Normies want to see specific shows on polls too but polls with 10-20 options are a terrible idea imo. Not to mention with your community and audience, most if not all anime polls that have a shonen or action option will end up being dominated by that. My suggestions for polls going forward: 5-10 options MAX. Make them more thematic. So, shojo poll, fantasy anime poll, battle shonen poll. Pick shorter shows as well. Having a show with 150+ episodes dominate a precious anime slot for months and months when you could have watched 3-4 multiple other shows in that time frame is frustrating. PLEASE stop putting in shonen/action shows in a giant bucket with non shonen. We have seen over and over how those shows will never win. I know those shonens tend to get lots of votes and options but there is a vocal portion of your community that would love to see the Normies branch out in other genres of anime. In closing, smaller, more focused polls please. 5-7 shows max in each poll. Maybe react to the top two winners. Shorter shows. No more shows like Bleach or Naruto that take up a slot for years and years. Also, Frieren.

Any of the DC animated movies would be an excellent choice to replace Young Justice. They delve into characters that show’s introduced as well as do a good job of translating stories from the books to the screen. “Justice League: War”, “Justice League: Doom”, and “Teen Titans: The Judas Contract” are great starting off points. “Batman: Hush”, “Justice League vs. The Teen Titans” and “Flashpoint Paradox” are all personal favorites of mine!
