His exact pay is revealed eventually. Low six figures, but significantly more than almost anybody else in a comparable job would be paid. $100K salary in NYC is more than enough to get by on, but it's not gonna make you rich, or remotely close to it.

It’s his default state and moments when he’s not an idiot is when he’s breaking out of his default ways of behaving. So there isn’t malice in his actions and he was sincerely apologetic but still stupid and selfish in a childlike way. Not saying he doesn’t deserve to get hit though. And in succession, i believe this is the end of the asian dude? Kind of weird that in the pilot they tried to build him up as a bigger threat but he ended up not doing anything and barely appearing in episodes despite being billed as a main cast member. It truly felt like they wanted a token minority so it’s not a cast of all white people but couldn’t organically slot him into the show lol. I mean Marcia is still there (not sure what ethnicity she is) but it was still jarring.
