Itโ€™s really sweet to see the Cobra Kai couch crew just talking like family, you guys will go on a tangent and grab each other or talk over each other

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Women were only recently able to serve in combat which is what suraj was talking about, Also if physical ability was just about weight class then you'd have womens strawweight vs mens strawweight in the ufc, Miguel "lost" because hes a newbie who got tackled and he is like 15, You'll see how much better he gets as the series goes on

Hey Chantelle! Please send us a Direct Message here on Patreon and our manager Hanna will take care of it.

The Normies

Hi i just joined for GEN V reactions only. Theres none for after episode 4, which i just watched on youtube. Can you tell me where to go plz or can i get me ยฃ10 back, as only joined for that show tbh??

Chantelle Miles

So your counter is to go back even further and use a 55 year old male player (who was an avid smoker) vs #1 women's in the world? Great thanks for proving the point....

J. J.

Nah it actually happens quite a bit. People just never call her out on it ๐Ÿ˜…

Captain K'nuckles

a counter to the recent battle of the sexes is the ORIGINAL battle of the sexes: Billie Jean King (woman) beat Bobby Riggs (male) in straight sets, 6โ€“4, 6โ€“3, 6โ€“3, and earned the winner-take-all prize of $100,000. for context: billie jean was 29, ranked number 1 in the world in women's tennis for the fifth year in row at the time. riggs was 55 at the time and in his prime he was ranked number 1 for 3 years in the world of male tennis. more context for those who say "of course he lost, he was old". well before he battled king he battled another woman. the then current champion of the australian and french open singles tournaments, magaret court, who was 30 at the time. riggs beat her.....take gender out of it. just cause fox can be owl and owl can beat mouse doesnt mean fox can beat mouse. everyone has their off days and their prime days. and everyone has someone who can beat them. billie jean was just better that day and she just happens to be a woman. so yes, under the right factors, a woman can beat a man in the same field.

finished noctourne last week. personally i think its better than season 1 of castlevania. as visually stunning as it is, outside of some badass villains there was no character for me to get SUPER attached to. issac and sypha came close but.......ANNETTE is THAT girl. cant wait for you to get really introduced to her next ep. #yoruba #orishas

rickie woodson

thanks for the facts but no reason to call her out her name.

rickie woodson

next week is when the show REALLY starts. cant wait for episode 6! #cobrakai

#sundayrundown I was so hyped for this episode! Loved seeing Miguel stand up to his bullies and whoop their ass! It is also nice to see that in the end, while Daniel and Johnny do clash a lot, they both have people they care about and are just trying to do right by them. Hope y'all continue to enjoy this show! (This is also post NormieCon and y'all are still so amazing!)

Prime Rebel

Glad you guys seem to enjoy Nocturn so far. One personal gripe I have with it though (by no means actually a bad thing) is I think they tried too hard to make Richter exactly like Trevor. I can guess why, but I'd prefer if they tried to make him at least a slightly different person. On a not too unrelated note if you guys are interested in learning actual game lore there's a YT channel I recommend called Oni Black Mage. He does Recap videos that completely go through the whole story of older games (PS2 and below console generations) and has done just about every Castlvania. Typical vid length I want to say is between 30-60 min, and I think its a great nostalgia trip or method to get the game context (though not required for the show). If you do check it out recommend looking for Castlevania 1, 3, and Symphony of the Night. Pretty sure Isaac, Hector, and St Germain are all in game story characters too but I don't remember which ones specifically they were in.

yeah yah should react to harley quinn after Castlevania: Nocturne

#sundayrundown Danny is 100% in the wrong he didn't just fuck with jonny he raised the rent for every person in that shopping center and put financial stress on them that they didn't deserve at all over some spray paint

#SundayRundown This is an amazing opening to the show. Julia Belmont's abilities really shows how scary Belmont's have the potential to be. The martial abilities of Trevor and the magical power of Sypha. Also the vampire being Aztec, makes sense, since they had a vampire God. Until I saw this episode I never actually considered how close the American and the French revolutions where, just 6 years apart. Interesting times.

Found the Navi simps

J. J.

You are an idiot.

MPH

Women have only been able to serve in combat roles since 2013.

#sundayrundown #cobarikai Battle of the sexes. 1998. Williams sisters v Karsten Braasch. He was ranked 203rd in the world. He beat Serena 6-1 and beat Venus 6-2. At the end of the game, Braasch said he actually played like a top 600 player to keep it โ€œfunโ€ and still beat them. Hope this helps.

#SundayRundown It's great to see you guys getting immediately into Nocturne. I'm eager to see what you guys think of the series going forward. I feel like the first episode, while not as strong as the original Castlevania's first episode, does help set up a lot of stuff. What I especially love is showing that our MC still has a lot of work to to in order to live up to Trevor's name; and it makes sense. When we see Trevor, he's a guy in his 20s, maybe early 30s, who was taught from childhood how to be powerful, before having to wander the lands after hosing his family. When we see him, he's already this OP character able to go toe to toe with vampires and night creatures. Richter lost his mother when he was young, and his training likely wasn't complete. What skills he does have are likely self taught. Richter is shown to have some skill with the whip, but his knowledge and strength is lacking. He struggles to fight a nightcreature because he doesn't really have any knowledge on it, and isn't used to fighting anything more than a simple vampire. Richter still has yet to reach his prime, and I'm excited to see him grow into someone worthy of being a descendant of Sypha and Trevor.

Bro was so irritated he had to post a comment here and on youtube. Chill tf out my dude its not that deep

Rashad Winters

how so?

Macs

Take it easy man. It ain't worth getting all worked up over. I didn't agree with them but your response is so much more aggressive than their opinion ever was. Have a nice chamomile tea.

Here's Serena saying she'd killed on the men's tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hzHBsvj6C0&ab_channel=DionSantana Here are some male players serving against female players (Serena included): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcprxDdAdeE&ab_channel=LukasKrupicka

J. J.

Holy shit Navi is a moron thinking Serena Williams (in her prime) could beat guys on the men's tour? Outside the top-10? Try outside the top 500, she would barely compete with College male players, jesus you guys are trying to be so woke you can't even comprehend basic biology. Men's sport and Women's sport are significantly different, the Williams debate was settled back in 2003 when her AND her sister Venus (in their primes) lost 6-0, 6-1 to some guy ranked 203 and the dude was drunk while playing them, Serena was humbled after that and now speaks about how women's and men's game are completely different. Or how bout the US National Women's soccer team losing to a bunch of high schoolers and another match where they lost 12-0 in 20mins to a bunch of retired male players.

J. J.

Well it looks like the man of clan normies have revealed themselves to be sexist. Shame on them.

Women being IN-DIRECT GROUND COMBAT in the US Army was only something fairly recently during 2013. However Women have been in non-combat roles like logistics and emergency services since the 40s. I Vividly remember combat ban on women being announced since at the time, I was in China and it was an "interesting" time to watch the tv in the hotel :)

Vicar Sol

I haven't gotten to the end and discussion of Cobra Kai yet, but since y'all were curious (and you might have looked it up, I guess I'll find out in a few minutes when I hit play again): Pat Morita died in November 2005, while the headstone says 2011. I'm guessing they didn't use the actual date/year because this first season came out in 2018, and they make it clear in the series that Sam knew Miyagi. If he had died in 2005 in the show, it's extremely unlikely she'd have any memories of him since she probably woulda been like 2 or 3 years old at the time. So pushing the death back six years makes it plausible she could have known him. EDIT: And of course I forgot this was the episode where they do the end "in memory of" thing. Welp! I've come too far to turn back now!

Jeff K

this was soooooooooo satisfying

Steve Harvey Dent

#SundayRundown On January 24, 2013, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta removed the military's ban on women serving in combat. He was right it was recent women were allowed in combat. Women in service means something different usually they had other jobs within like communications medical ect but not combat. Wasn't till 2016 iirc they could choose to apply to any position.

PKKite

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN Women were in the army since before the 50s, it was in 2013 they lifted the comabt ban on women, they were now allowed in combat which is what suraj was talking about. Women being in frontline infantry is a recent change. Its funny, this is the first I can think of a time where its suraj actually being right and Navi being confidently wrong instead of the otherway around.

TrixieTurner

lol Johnny is stuck in the 80s, he has no knowledge of anything past say 89

Macs

So you guys probably know but Olrox is actually a Mexican Vampire, from the Aztec era it seems. His Monster form is very similar and seems to take inspiration From Quetzalcoatl.

Maroki R6

#SundayRundown fun fact The island of saint-domingue is modern day Haiti. Haiti is the first black republic in history. They were the first black colony to fight and gain their freedom & independence. Proud to be Haitian๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น
