dumbs are just dumbs, there is nothing we can do here

Wait they watched the wrong version of this Gurren Lagann episode?!?! I really tried to give them a bunch of warnings on discord when this had won the poll and I decided to do a rewatch on Hulu. Shame I couldn't give them a more recent heads up because I was wrongly banned from there after literally 1 strike. Reactions to this episode are always hilarious and Eric from BW has often referenced on how you can use fan service in a good way (unlike something like Code Geass).

I took it as Orihime didn't say goodbye to anyone because she doesn't like worrying people and keeps stuff to herself. Which is why she didn't actually go through with saying goodbye to anyone.

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

I've always been an Ichiruki shipper, but beyond that, I just found Orihime's relationship with Ichigo annoying at this point. It's similar to how I felt about Hinata & Naruto. Basically, I've always disliked when a Shonen has a soft girl pining unrequitedly for the main character, who remains oblivious until a big grand moment happens where she professes her undying love...and then he STILL doesn't acknowledge her (or anyone else) romantically right up until the end. 😤 There's nothing wrong with this kind of character, of course. It's just that, in an ACTION anime, I prefer my love-interest to be a fighting partner of the main character, and their consistent friendship and battle camaraderie developing into a romance; rather than the love-interest occasionally being there in a big dramatic life-or-death moment, but otherwise mostly staying on the sidelines, repeatedly calling the main characters name in a timid little voice, and getting immediately clapped whenever they try to do something more than that. This is why I ship Rukia with Ichigo, and why...if Sakura didn't suck so much, I WOULD ship her with Naruto. That being said, Orihime is at least more centrally focused in the story than Hinata is, and (no spoilers), there came a point where I was no longer annoyed by the idea of the two of them together. It wasn't here though. AND I'M STILL RUKIA x ICHIGO FOREVER! 😛 By the way, as far as Rukia and Ichigo having "sibling energy" is concerned, to me, Rukia interacts with Ichigo in the same way she interacts with Renji; which is appropriate, given how the show makes no secret of the fact that Ichigo and Renji are similar dudes.

Love me some new stuff to listen to man thx g

Check out Sturgill Simpson Presents Sounds of Fury on Netflix. He's an amazing alt country musician that decided to turn his last album into an anime with Junpei Mizusaki. I'm not much of an anime fan, but I love musical experimentation.

#Sunday Rundown Episode 140: The PullUp™ is on full display here and will continue to be for the rest of Bleach lol. It's basically like a tradition in Bleach whenever someone is in a life-or-death situation for another character to arrive and (try to) save the day. Shinji will continue to get awesome songs for his fight scenes, so keep watching for more bangers. Bleach has probably my favourite shonen anime soundtrack. Shiro Sagisu (the composer) just gets it. He's also back to compose for Bleach:TYBW where he remixes some of the older tracks and works with Kubo (author of Bleach) to create new ones. Episode 141: Ah, the controversial one...though I feel it is much less weird when you think about Orihime's circumstances in life. It is implied she grew up abused along with her brother and also has had been all alone since her brother passed away. Self-depreciation and lack of confidence while trying to serve others before herself are all fundamentally her character traits. She is also a 15 year old girl who gets confronted by massive life-changing revelations in the span of like 2 months (as in realizing there is an actual afterlife and getting her own fairy powers that she tries to employ to fight crazy evil spirits). And now one of said evil spirits makes her an ultimatum. "We need your powers, come with me or I'll kill all of your friends. Also, say goodbye to one person only, otherwise I'll do all that murdering stuff anyway. Oh, and reveal my plan and I'll do it anyway too". What does she do? She immediately sacrifices herself to protect her friends (remember, she was told a while ago by Urahara that they don't need her powers in battle). Given her depressed and mentally weak state she seeks affection and comfort from the man she loves. Only, he is asleep and unable to hear her. Which is actually perfect because if he heard her he would absolutely tried to stop her and would probably force her to tell him what's wrong (thus breaking the compromise she made with Ulquiorra). Remember, last time she saw Ichigo fight he got his ass handed to him by Yammy, so how confident is she really in him being able to defeat a foe that is seemingly even stronger? And so she can unload all the emotional and mental baggage on her mind and finally confesses her feelings before going away to a place she thinks she will never return from. As for the kiss, once again, she is 15. She is basically a volcano of hormones that is now fuelled by fear and huge amounts of stress. One is prone to make irrational decisions in such a state. In the end she even holds herself back and doesn't kiss him. And so she leaves, sad, but at least with the notion that her life has meaning. At least she can trade her life away for the lives of her friends. The episode ends on a bittersweet note with the words "goodbye, halcyon days". Now come the periods of storms, as she apparently leaves all the joys, memories and wonder of her youth behind. A poetic end, befitting Kubo's writing style. Sorry for the long post, had a bit more to say than I initially thought, haha.

Ahhhh yes Shinji the Music Head wit the jazzy shit lol love his soundtracks

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

Naaahhh that first part bro "He reminds me of Rana" bruh 🤣🤣🤣 the violation bro is on another level 🤣🤣 but the accuracy tho 🤣🤣💀

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

Shinji's theme song always goes crazy. It's called Escalon. I seen a comment saying that his theme sounds like aliens invading Mexico which is so accurate lol. And yeah the Cero sound effects are so dope and satisfying. Orihime confessing her love to Ichigo is one of the most wholesome scenes. The irony that she's voiced by Stephanie Sheh who also voiced Hinata - who also confessed her love to the MC. Its interesting how you guys are divided on the ships between Ichigo and Rukia and Ichigo and Orihime. "Goodbye Halcyon Days" basically means that Orihime is saying goodbye to all the fun and great time she's had with her friends. She's surrendered and know she has gotten kidnapped. Goodbye Halcyon Days is also the title of the 27th volume of the Bleach manga.

Highly doubt he slept with her. The guy is an absolute asshole, he would have told Toshiro if he did just to fuck with him even more

Fatherlord

#1 is pretty sad and I can see #2 being true.

My view on it shifted when I saw this: https://www.reddit.com/r/bleach/comments/sccpdn/what_do_you_guys_think_did_momo_and_aizen_have_an/ Still debatable though. What matters is that their relationship is based on grooming and manipulation

Tristan Harley

I was wondering if the NGE normies would recognize Rei and Asuka in this week’s Gurren Lagann episode they did not lol

Sharod Croom

Maybe when they're done with Gurren Lagann, we can get a kinda "bonus" reaction of the uncut ep 6? If they can find it (Blind Wave did it, can't be too hard to find?)

Shockzz1234

I'll be real - i have never thought that Aizen had sex with Momo, not once. Even with what we saw with Momo's infatuation with Aizen, she seemed way too meek to have sex with him. But hey lol.

Shockzz1234

They're going to react to Harley Quinn? Nice! They're going to love it.

When do Harley Quinn Reactions Start

BradBoimler

One of the reason I dislike the original adaptation is leaving out panels that hint towards this in the past.

Watching you guys reactions to Bleach and being split on who to ship is so funny to me because I always felt like the anime made it pretty damn obvious who is going to be with who. Also Orihime almost kissing Ichigo while he slept isn’t the worst thing, trust, sometimes in anime we let certain things slide that normally wouldn’t be okay, like Orihime herself is constantly being sexually harassed by Chizuru and plenty others and it’s always played up for laughs. Plus I love the fact that in the end she didn’t do it and instead professed her love and left, a really great moment, one of my favorites in the entire anime.

Suraj needs to do a Twitch reaction to the uncensored version of Ep6

SpeedyCat19

Watching the censored/recap version of episode 6 is kind of a let down but I understand if they didn't know but would have been so much better if they watch the real uncut episode 6.

#Sunday Rundown So Bleach episode 141, Orihime's goodbye, is one of my favorite. Also if you have the chance I would recommend that you read the manga chapter for this episode, 237. The art for it is fantastic and it tears me up every time. Now for some anime and manga differences. The entire scene with Orihime at the school was all anime. In the manga it went straight from her at her house writing her pseudo suicide note to her going to Ichigo. I personally enjoyed it because it helped hammer in that these characters are more than just the fights and conflicts that they are in with a wider social circle. Also the scene between Rukia and Isshin Kurosaki as she left his house was anime only. I'm also happy that the couch is pretty split between Ichigo/Orihime and Ichigo/Rukia, it takes me back to the internet during the middle of Bleach's run. I also really hope that somebody on the couch just starts shipping Orihime/Ulquiorra. It's legit surprisingly the second or third most popular Orihime ship.

Annah Suarez-Domit

Aww, they watched the censored/recap version of episode 6, still a fun reaction tho!!

ChillyChili

This is the censored version of episode 6. They replaced all the scenes that were deemed too risque for television with recaps.

#SUNDAY RUNDOWN: Nice Bleach reactions. Two things you need to know that were omitted from the anime: 1. Orihime and her brother were physically abused as kids. This, alongside many other things is why she has such a self deprecating personality. It's clearer in the manga but this whole episode is a metaphor for suicide (Invisible to friends, wishing about what you could do in life, a note). You'll need to keep this in your minds because the anime doesn't like to delve too deep into dark subject matter, so it will sometimes not explain Orihime's thought process, which might seem strange to you. 2. It's implied in the manga that Aizen had sex with Momo. Remember also, that Aizen revealed way back in soul society that he had deliberately moved Momo into his squad so he could groom her. If it's not clear, she grew up around Aizen. Consider this when you analyze how Momo reacts to Aizen.
