Like I said last week (i'll copy paste from last week): "There's three types of Menos Grande Hollows. All of them become an arrancar when they tear off their mask in order to get Shinigami/Soul Reaper powers, and get stronger due to this. A) Gillian: "A captain's class (aka assistant captain rank and above) shouldn't have much trouble taking it down." B) Adjuchas: "A little smaller and less numerous than Gillian. But they are intelligent and their fighting ability is several times that of 'Gillian'." C) Vasto Lordes: "Extremely small, about the same size as a human. It is said that there are only a few of them in the entire region of Heuco Mundo. But let's be clear. The combat capability of this "Vasto Lordes" class is superior to that of a captain level!" It should be noted that the kanji used for captain in these statements is 隊長格, which is captain level and not captain rank (隊長). Renji, Iba, Hisagi, and other assistant captains in Soul Society arc were noted to being 隊長格, captain level, in the manga, as almost all of the assistant captains were as well during that arc. So to make it clearer: Normally (so barring unique exceptions), Gillian hollows are fodder for Assistant captains, Adjuchas hollows are much stronger than that, and Vasto Lordes hollows are stronger than assistant captains. That is before the increase in strength from Hogyoku arrancar process, as these hollows would become even stronger..."

End of Evangelion was made after the initial backlash and includes some of the threatening letters in the film itself.

Per the Soul Society arc, Ikkaku is 3rd seat because Yachiru is the number 2 of squad 11, and Yumichika is 5th seat because he doesn't like the number 4, and Ikkaku is 3rd. Remember they both matched/beat other lieutenants or were described by others as being on that level. I get the confusion with the Arrancar levels -- partly because following Toshiro's statement of Vasto Lordes-Arrancar outmatching captains, it cuts to Aizen and his posse of 20 arrancar. But at this point we don't really know how strong anyone is. Just keep in mind that Arrancar in general should be very difficult to deal with since they are hollows w/ shinigami powers, vs. your ordinary shinigami. Which is why Soul Society might send lieutenant-level and above people to Karakura town in the first place (regardless of Renji's explanation about everyone just tagging along).

2023-08-31 05:34:23 +0000 UTCThere’s no comparison. The original voice actors for Eva are iconic. Kotono Mitsuishi’s Misato is unmatched. Same with other seiyuu, though the original ADV dub cast did well with the characters. Better than Netflix’s attempt at least.

2023-08-31 05:10:23 +0000 UTCI for one laughed at the "hollowgram" joke Suraj lol AND, in defense of the Rangiku/Orihime scene, it is at least very true to Rangiku's character lol it would've been uncharacteristic of her to cover up in the moment. When has she ever cared to be modest and classy in front of others? So, of course, in this private moment with Orihime I think it makes sense for her to not cover up, and I fully support Kubo's decision to give us a more, umm... candid, view of it all lol. And as someone already mentioned, Di Roy was not a Vasto Lorde, nor are many of the top ranked arrancar actually. Also, Vasto Lordes being "stronger than a captain" does not mean that they are stronger than all captains. Just something to keep in mind.

2023-08-30 19:56:52 +0000 UTCBLEACH THE MOVIE: Memories Of Nobody “Now that you’ve completed the Soul Society arc, and met all the initial characters, it’s the perfect time to watch the first ‘BLEACH’ movie!”…is what I would’ve said back then, if not for one detail. The movie came out during the Bount arc, with the canon story being left off after Soul Society. However, the plot of the film includes Rukia using her zanpakuto powers with abandon, which hadn’t happened yet in the show. So anime-only’s were watching a filler arc in which Rukia’s powers still hadn’t returned, then saw a movie where she was suddenly releasing her sword like it wasn’t even a big deal. Now that you’ve seen her zanpakuto, you are free to react to this first film; and you ABSOLUTELY should! I recommend you avoid looking up the other films for now, because the 4th one...has an episode that leads right into it, and if you avoid spoiling the title for yourself, it'll be a nice surprise. Not a big deal though.

Sode no Shirayuki translates to Sleeves of White Snow, the attack she used, Some no Mai Tsukishiro, translates to First Dance White Moon. Now some poll data, as Tite Kubo put out several calls for readers to vote on thier favorite characters, zanpaktos, and fights. Sode no Shirayuki was ranked the second most popular zanpakto in the first zanpakto poll, and then most popular in the second zanpakto poll. Speaking of popularity Rukia herself was voted as the most popular character for the seventh and tenth character popularity poll, second most popular in the first, second, and fourth as well as third place on the third. Rukia's bout with D-Roy was ranked 47th out of every fight in the series.

Vasto Lorde have a human form BEFORE being transformed into arrancars. But all of them would have a somewhat human form after being transformed. Some are bigger than humans like Yammy and Grand Fisher who are both arrancars, but Grand Fisher was not a Vasto Lorde prior to becoming an arrancar, Yammy we don't know yet at this point. The anime (particularly the dub) does not do a good job at phrasing this.

Mainly the top 10 are the ones to watch out for, those are the ones I can truly say are Vasto Lorde level. Ikkaku is one of my favorite Lieutenants so I’m glad he gets a good ass fight at this point. Grimmjow is one of the fan favorite characters and you’ll begin to see why.
