It's not "like everyone else watched it". Everyone watches differently. Some people don't watch openings and endings at all. And a lot of people (like The Normies) prefer openings that are more abstract, instead of openings showing things that are going to happen in the show before they happen. I'm not forcing them to do anything. I gave them a heads up that an opening contains spoilers, and suggested waiting until a certain episode to watch it. They decided to take this suggestion, because they care about that kind of thing.

Look I honestly couldn't give a shit about the eds or the shorts. I'm just tired of all these misguided fans telling them to skip ops they don't need to skip especially one's with blink and you'll miss it spoilers like in OP3. How about just let them enjoy the show like everyone else watched it?

As I said, I told them to wait on OP3, AND told them to let the ending play, and then watch the short. You made a general statement that I "put the idea in their head that they needed to skip ops/eds". I did not. I never said anything about skipping EDs, and they've had discussions many times about how they don't like spoilers in anime openings, way before I got here. You also said they "probably would've watched" the shorts if I hadn't said anything, which is also not true. They've been skipping the endings the entire time, because, after Navi checked once for an after-credits scene, they never checked again; which is why I started telling them to do so before we even got to OP3.

Sorry, but you're flat out wrong. The Normies ONLY skipped ops and eds at the request of their fans. Which was the case for many of the Naruto ops. They only skipped OP3 because you left a comment that Suraj and Rana SPECIFICALLY cited as why they were skipping OP3. If you had just said nothing, they would have watched when they first appeared. And even after watching the opening they still weren't sure where the spoiler was!

@Dooly exactly the Funimation dub is leagues above the Netflix dub @L.C. The only thing more annoying than that is you automatically thinking all dubs are bad just because you don't like them. A lot of the new anime shows they watch are in sub so i don't know what your bitching about

The best dub will always be the Funimation dub for the Rebuild films. They at least respected the original dub actors. As much as I despise Funimation, I wish they got the Eva rights instead of Netflix.

Opening 5 is one of my favorite openings. The more you guys hear it the more you're gonna love it lol. Fun fact the singer Yui who sings opening 5 also did the first opening in FMAB. She also did ending 5 of Bleach. She's really popular. Ironic you guys mention English openings when opening 4 is in English. It was during the filler arc (Bount arc) so it was skipped. When you guys eventually do your Bleach opening rankings you'll have to watch it. And yeah those are filler characters the from the arc lol. You guys are gonna hear a lot of new fire osts, they only get better and better. Can't wait till you hear more of them. 🔥 Rana's reaction to Uryu's dad was priceless lmao. That hollow Grand Fisher is Kurama's VA. Keigo (Ichigo's crazy classmate with the brown hair) is Sasuke's VA lmao. Shinji is Deidara which Suraj figured out. Yes he has a tongue piercing you guys are right. And yes Gaara's VA voiced Uryu's grandfather. He voiced Orihime's brother too.

@Aus You thinking they're adorable is valid. I don't think you're wrong for liking them. I think they're hideous, and I've thought that since watching every episode for the very first time. They don't tease Kon, they humiliate and look down on him. I also find them to be some of the most annoying characters in the show. Kon can be annoying himself of course, but I would've much rather seen him contribute more to the plot (even in filler), rather than bringing in more silly characters who are just better mod souls. I actually like the Bount arc over all. I don't even think it's the worst filler, but, to me, those 3 are the worst part about it. That's why I resonate with Suraj. You're right that he just hates them on sight, having no experience with the filler. As for me, I hate them based on my experience with the filler. @WiggyJiggyJeff If you've been watching their anime reactions, you should know that, not only do they wait to watch certain OPs, but they often skip endings entirely. It wasn't me that gave them either of those ideas. It's what they do. The whole reason I suggested waiting on OP 3 is because I watched them avoiding "Naruto" OPs that had spoilers in them. This is why, in my original post about this, I specifically said to wait on the OP, but watch the shorts.

It's a sheep mentality to hate it. It isn't nearly what people make it out to be and it helped grow the relationship between ichigo and friends and the soul society, brought back the slice of life aspect to the show, gave us a literal entire shiro sagisu soundtrack, and giving a break from the aizen related events and allowing an accurate sense of the time that has passed. This mentality is so dangerous because it blocks out what the good in something is, you only bandwagon supposed "bad"

Bleach ended up being over 50% filler. I used to watch Bleach week to week dl/ing fan sub sites (I'm old) I watched the Bount Arc, it was ok but boring basically Bleach became so slow I quit watching it all. I finally came back and finished it without filler. It's a lot better that way.

Suraj and I are spiritually bonded over our mutual detestation of those 3 filler mod soul characters! The thing I hate most about them is how they undermine Kon as a character, when the poor lil' man already gets no respect. 😂 - Zennosuke Kurumadani (the afro dude who replaced Rukia) was introduced in one of the after credits scenes, which is one of the reasons I've been trying to get you guys to watch them. Those 30-second shorts are based on side chapters and small 1-shot panels in the manga where Kubo would frequently show what the side characters were getting up to, incorporating some of them into the main story later. Every filler episode that involves Don Kanonji is based on those manga panels as well; making them technically canon. Or at least canon adjacent. 😛 I strongly advise that you allow the ending to play, then look away from the preview (you can listen to it, since characters just have banter and don't spoil), then look back as Kon introduces the after credits shorts, called "Illustrated Guide to Soul Reapers: Golden". - There's a small canon moment that happens in the Bount arc, where Keigo (the zany classmate complaining about being left out for summer) sees Kurumadani and chats with him, prompting Kurumadani to crankily wonder why so many people in Karakura Town can see him. A small moment, but very relevant for later. 👍🏼

Alright so you guys have skipped the Bount Arc, which means I can give you a very, very condensed version. So Urahara brings out three mod souls like Kon to help train Ichigo and the others for a new threat. That new threat is revealed to be the Bount. The Bount are a species of spiritual beings, like the mod souls, that the Soul Society created and then tried to kill off. Bounts are immortal and maintain their immortality by eating human souls, which in turn inspired myths about vampires all over the world. The Bount also tried to ally with the Quincy to avoid genocide by the Shinigami but couldn't come to an accord and both were slaughtered to only a few remaining members. Afterwards the Bount tried to live in peace by only consuming dead souls but in recent years a new charismatic leader has been pushing for more aggressive tactics in the tribe. Ishida met a Bount that was against the current Bount leaders plan of destroying the Soul Society and basically latched onto her because he doesn't have a mom, only to see her be killed trying to stop Kariya, the head Bount. Hanataro works at a convenience store and has gay sex with Ganju.(Only half of that statement is a lie, you decide which.) Ichigo is taken over by his Inner Hollow during a fight with one of Kariya's lieutenants and then later Kariya himself. The Bount infiltrate the Soul Society and have a bunch of fight scenes and Ichigo and Byakuya team up to fight Kariya for a bit then later Ichigo fights him alone. The world is saved and an entire species was killed because they committed the sin of being born.(To Bleach's credit the entire thing is portrayed tragically and it turns out Kariya was attacking the Soul Society both for revenge and to finally end his existence, whichever came first.)
