I apologize for spoilers on another franchise. That was really shitty. Season four on in AoT really frustrating for me because the first several seasons of AoT are pretty well written then the writing falls off the rails at a certain point. There's a lot of great elements about this series that's weighed down by a lot of really dumb things including one of the worst, one dimensional main characters in "shonen" anime.

Agreed. "Genocide" doesn't really describe how bad the events in this show go to. It does confirm the MC is one of the worst shit bag MC's in anime. The people who root on the shitbag are the same people who rooted on Thanos's plan; which caused ecological devastation beyond sentient life on every planet his reach touched. It's not that I'm squeamish on the topics presented in AoT; it's just those topics in this show aren't very well written. Paul Atreides jihad in the "Dune" saga killed at least 50 Billion people yet he's more of a sympathetic character than Eren Yeager; at least in their logic, circumstances, and reasoning. Thankfully this series will be over soon and reactors can move on.

People keep using the word "genocide". It's factual, but what Eren is doing is a few steps further; it's more of a mass extinction event, not just killing racists, but all other sorts of non-human lifeforms and annihilating most of the ecosystems that can sustain life.
