they dont advertise their patreon to support them, they advertise them so we see double drops. YOU might be here for that reason but dont speak for the rest of us. We're looking for something they are advertising for, so when people look for it, dont try to police them. Had they said ANYthing for the two weeks the show was missing, that wouldve been different, but they didnt.

Aside from the fact that they already stated they would be watching them in batches and posting them in batches, explaining the gap between episodes. If there was a specific time that someone was supposed to be posted and wasn't, you can kinda assume something happened to prevent this. You don't really need to know the reason. It's a possibility you expect from content creators, especially the ones you love so much you'd give them money to help keep them going. You also don't HAVE to pay. Patreon is a place you go to support content creators create whatever content they want to create and how they create it. We don't dictate that. We are not customers. All those RWBY reactions can be watched for free but you're choosing to support their livelihood. So there's no room to complain.

2023-05-04 02:27:31 +0000 UTCI agree with much of what you're saying TD. Intentionally bleak writing can be good if it's not presented as one note. An argument can be made the world of "Berserk" is much more brutal and bleak than AoT's yet Berserk's writing is some of the best in manga because there's actual real character growth and real exploration into those characters as well as multifaceted approach to the themes in that universe. As much as I like the action in AoT it, just feels really one dimensional in it's writing. It's intentionally bleak for bleak sake; which really kills a lot of the plot points for me. I'm glad we're entering the final episodes of AoT and reactors can move onto other anime.

2023-05-03 13:35:55 +0000 UTCI have to agree, because even as asinine this seems for the audience, Isayama has never really explored alternatives to solve the Titan problem (until spoilers). His writing is intentionally bleak, and he never has characters like Ksaver and Hange, whose big part of their goals is understanding everything about titans, really dive into searching a cure for the disease (or dispel the curse). We're just made to accept that they've failed (because that would a blemish on the writing if those characters never even tried finding alternatives). Isayama always had a doomer, so it makes sense that Connie options would be so trash and making his mom the Jaw for a decade seems like the best route.

Connie and Armin didn't expect Eren to take control the way he did so he couldn't have acted by assuming 'one day in the future eren might be able to save her'. And as for the staying dead point I agree of course that a possible long life (although people don't generally get that in this world) is better than a guaranteed 13 and that she is not currently dead just in titan form she's been stuck as an immobile, barely sentient titan this whole time, thats not exactly a life especially from Connie's perspective as we learn that he's been coming to see her regularly for years now

Which means you have ALL the time in the world to find a different solution which doesn't involve her becoming a Titan shifter Like for instance you somehow convince Eren to turn Connie's mom back into a human with his new godly powers. And yes I agree that this is just pie in the sky conjecture but it's a MUCH better alternative to giving her an extra 13 years where she'll probably have to go into hiding for the rest of her life. There's also the added benefit of not having the blood of an innocent child on your hands. π€·ββοΈ Maybe think through your answer a little more next time before commenting yeah?

Only saving her for the next 13 years 2. Putting a HUGE target on her back from people either wanting to steal her power or kill her because she's a titan shifter
